Originally, the Inquisition was a branch of the Catholic church, its goal was to root out heresy wherever it lies and utterly destroy any who would oppose the power of the church. However, having grown since the dark ages, the Inquisition found itself being changed. Members of the fractured Quincy race found themselves sheltered among the church and were integrated to into this organization until eventually making it their own. A haven for those left behind, a last bastion of the Quincy race.
Home Base: The Gilded Fortress
Located between worlds, the Gilded Fortress is formerly the home of the Quincy elite. The royal family and upper lords would have once called this place home. However, with the rise of the Inquisition it has been repurposed into a base and stronghold for the Leaders of the organization. Accessible only though various Webway gates scattered throughout the Earth, it provides a highly defendable place for the members of the Inquisition to retreat should they require it.
Technology:
Webway: A technology born of a need to be able to not only access the spiritual world, but for a place to hide and recover after the Quincy were nearly wiped out by the Shinigami to prevent a collapse due to the spirit cycle. Webway Gates are scattered throughout the world and require a Quincy Cross to operate. These gates allow instantaneous travel to any other gate, as well as being a portal to the spiritual worlds of Soul Society and Heuco Mundo.
Travel to other spiritual realms is a lot less accurate than dedicated gates and will cause anyone attempting this sort of travel to end up well away from any signs of civilization. At least without proper preparation.

Inquisitors
The elite among the forces of the Inquisition, the Inquisitors are highly skilled members with a focus on combat, intrigue and secrecy. Each Inquisitor is personally elevated from the ranks of other two branches by the High Inquisitor and granted a Inquisitorial Seal. Each one of these seals is carved from the bones of a saint into the form of a cross, and then inlaid with soul-forged gilding that is unique to each piece.
Unlike many organizations, Inquisitors are often left to their own devices on what investigations they undertake and are trusted to perform their tasks without pause. They answer only to the Lord Inquisitor. These individuals are permitted to bring various other beings into their service as retinues, and unlike the rest of the inquisition there is no limits on who may join a inquisitor’s retinue.
Finally, each Inquisitor tends to take on an apprentice of sorts in the form of an Acolyte. Often a trusted advisor out to prove they too can earn the title of Inquisitor. These Acolytes are second in authority only to the Inquisitors.

- Quincies only, unless approved by the Lord Inquisitor (To be decided OOC)
- Inquisitors may choose a single Acolyte of tier 1-5 to 1-1 (Exceptions may be made)

Custodian Division:
The Custodian division focus more on defense, logistics and research over all else. Lead by the High Overseer from their seat in the hidden fortress city, this branch of the Inquisition has hidden bases over the world to quickly move forces and equipment around unseen. Often hidden in old churches or cathedrals but may take other forms to properly blend in anywhere around the globe.
Each of these outposts is governed by an Overseer, who then commands a number of sentinels to run each individual base.
Rules for Custodian Division Applicants:
- Quincy only for High Overseer position, 1-1 and above
- Overseer positions may be granted to a non-quincy under supervision, tier 1-5 and above
- Anyone may apply for Sentinel positions.

Sentinels:
Exorcist Division
Lead by the High Marshall, the exorcist division is the rank and file military of the Inquisition. Tasked with responding to threats, accompanying Inquisitors on their duties and generally slaying the enemies of the Inquisition.
As with the Custodian division, each primary base will have a marshall who communicates directly with the High Marshall to control troop movements and assign targets.

- Quincy only for High Marshall position, 1-1 and above
- Marshall positions may be granted to a non-quincy under supervision, tier 1-5 and above
- Anyone may apply for exorcist positions.
