 THE SHINIGAMI APPLICATION Name: Seto ByashiReal Age: 86 Phys. Age: 16 Gender: Male Personality: Seto is an aristocratic asshole who thinks he knows best and is the definition of a stuck up noble. His nobility was his birthright and though stripped from him, he will not show that in the slightest and still very much acts like he has nobility backing him up. He is very used to not having to get his hands dirty and only became a Shinigami under the pretense that he could live a lavish life without having to do any real work. After fifty years of academy and being stuck in Division One, he's about to get a rude awakening in that department. His naiivity gets the better of him often, and he has almost no understanding of "adult" situations. Despite his age, and having graduated from the Shinigami Academy, he acts much like he looks: a child, through and through. He has no penchant for great tactical plans, but neither is he the fool or headstrong; he's simply a child, with all the room in the world to grow and find his own place. CHARACTER APPEARANCE Height: 5'6"Weight: 133 lbs Physical Traits: [Seifer Almasy], Kingdom Hearts II; Final Fantasy VIII BACK-DROP History: Seto was a human born noble who died a dishonorable death when his house was burned down during his mother's first attempt at making dinner by herself. He lived as a Jibakurei for 20 years before being Konso Ritual'd into Soul Society where he promptly found his way to District 1 and signed up for the Shinigami Academy. 50 years later, he graduated, and has recently entered First Division's service as their Third Seat.Exposition: Is an asshole, needs to get that beaten out of him and learn some respect. Side Notes: Currently does not have his Shikai, does not even hear whispers yet. Very fresh graduate. THE COMBAT INFORMATION General Fighting Style: Using a standard asauchi, he fights... like a freshly graduated Shinigami would fight. When more experienced, he'll develop his own one-handed style most likely but for now... uses a katana like everyone else... just doin' shinigami things. Kidou.... swordplay.... hakuda sometimes.... y'know.Strengths: Agility Weaknesses: Durability Ability Name: Adrenaline Shock Ability Description: If Seto sees his own blood, he receives a +1x to all stats for 5 posts. This only works once per thread but is not considered a final. Ability Name: Kaido Prodigy Ability Description: While Seto is only average at most Kidou, he is a prodigy at Kaidou, and can use it quickly and efficiently even in the middle of combat. ZANPAKUTO Sealed Appearance: In its sealed state, YuushaTate takes the form of an ornate golden wakizashi that rests on his back, diagonally from the right. Zanpakutou Name: [F]Yuusha Tate, Hero's Shield; [T]Yuusha Heisou, Hero's Armaments. Call Out Command: [F] Rise & Defend, Yuusha Tate; [T] Rise up, Shield of a Thousand Fallen Heroes, and Defend those who stand behind me, for I am the pinnacle of justice and stand alone against the tides of darkness as they rain down upon the land, with none at my side other than Yuusha Heisou. FALSE SHIKAI Appearance: When released without the full incantation, YuushaTate takes the form of a single Kite Shield. This shield is large enough to protect Seto from most dangers, as he can hide behind the shield, or protect others with it. The shield is not bladed and cannot be used offensively.Ability Name: False Shikai Ability Description: In the false release state, the only ability YuushaTate retains from its true Shikai state is [Hero's Shield]. All other abilities are locked in the false release, which happens if YuushaTate is released without the full proper incantation. SHIKAI Appearance: In the true Shikai, Yuusha Heisou takes the form of a kite shield and longsword. The sword stays in the same hand, while the shield appears on the other hand. This is replicated in the false release, and the Shield looks identical.Ability Name: Hero's Shield Ability Description: The first special attack that hits the shield is completely negated. This ability goes on a cooldown equal to the ability that was negated's cooldown plus one post. Ability Name: Hero's Sword Ability Description: Only Seto himself can move the sword in any fashion, to any extent. No other force can cause the sword to budge in the slightest, regardless of how its being held or used. This means that even with just his pinky finger, Seto can have a full grip on the sword in comparison to a giant axe, and still block it effectively. Ability Name: Mirror Shield Ability Description: When activated, the shield will glow brightly with reiatsu to signify its activation. The next energy attack to hit the shield is reflected back at the caster at 1.5x power. This ability has a cooldown equal to the reflected ability's cooldown plus two posts. Ability Name: Arclight Burst Ability Description: Releasing a burst of reiatsu following the arc of his swing, the sword can release a cero-like attack once per post.
