 THE SHINIGAMI APPLICATION Name: Hayate Yoshida Real Age: 650 Phys. Age: 27 Gender: Male Personality: Hayate is rarely seen without a half-scowl etched into his features, an unfortunate case of resting agitation face. He isn’t shy about letting these agitations known either, which unfortunately causes him to bump heads with just about everyone. Despite this, Hayate tells it like he sees it. While he might go about his job in a generally grumbling manner, he does take his role seriously. Hayate is considered a dependable asset in his role as vice-captain. He takes care of the Shinigami under his command and generally acts as a shield between the captain and the regulars. Hayate’s straightforward attitude to dealing with his issues has ended in quite a few fistfights. Hayate is a good person underneath the gruff exterior, with an ever present need to protect the weak no matter what form it takes. This lends itself towards a generally positive view of humanity as a whole, unlike some of the pure born souls that reside in the Gotei. CHARACTER APPEARANCE Height: 5'10" Weight: 143 lbs
BACK-DROP History: Human Life: - Born during the final stretch of the Sengoku period - Took part in the battle of Sekigahara - Became a ronin at some stage, took to wandering as a sellsword. - Died during the Shimabara rebellion Plus: - Was reincarnated through the soul cycle as a plus. Manifested oddly closer to his prime than when he had originally died. - Immediately got into trouble, ended up enrolled in the Shinigami academy Shinigami: - Was a naturally gifted fighter in life, and continued experience throughout training as a Shinigami left Hayate quickly rising through the ranks. - Joined the fight boys, as is his nature. - Proved himself a capable leader and would be placed as vice-captain. - Has existed in this role generally doing the grunt work while captain boy slacks off and boasts about old victories. Exposition: Side Notes: THE COMBAT INFORMATION General Fighting Style: Hayate is a swordsman, in life a talented and prodigious Samurai and in death this talent was only honed further. His approach to combat is largely unothadox and driven more by intuition and hard-earned skills. Strengths: Strength, Agility, Zanjutsu, Hakuda, Durability Weaknesses: Sensing, Reiatsu, Control, Kidou (No Access) Ability Name: Electrified Spiritual Energy Ability Description: Hayate’s spiritual energy has an innate electrical property to it. Rather than sheer pressure, other beings may feel building static or even mild shocks just nearing him. This manifests as a physical effect when being used to attack an opponent by conducting a potent shock through the blade of his weapon. - Basic attacks are empowered with a mild-shock, repeated hits can cause electrical burns. - Spiritual Pressure causes random electrical anomalies and a feeling of static when in combat. No damage from this effect. Ability Name: Master Combatant Ability Description: Hayate is an exceptionally talented fighter, be it with hand to hand, weapons, and just about any implement of war that he can get his hands on. This adaptability is key to his success so far. - +x1 Speed ZANPAKUTO Sealed Appearance: In its sealed state, Raijin takes the form of a bokken.
