A calm breeze shifted the leaves that were scattered across the empty road. The midnight moon was shining as a brilliant crescent in the sky, and dark clouds loomed in the sky, threatening to flush out the only source of natural light in the sky. The night was quiet, and it was almost dead. The only noise that could be heard were the soft taps of a young girl's foot steps as she ran through the streets, nothing but darkness following her. Her small body leaped up from the ground and landed in the midst of a grove of trees. A black cape fluttered around her body, and her short hair bobbed softly in the breeze. There wasn't a speck of colour visible on her; even her eyes were a pitch black. Her skin was pale enough to be considered white in the moonlight, and the outfit she was wearing looked as if it didn't belong anywhere, with the exception of a circus.

The girl stopped moving as she landed on a tree branch and crouched down silently. Now the only noise in the air was the breeze... Wait. There was a second noise now. It was a soft growl. The girl shifted and looked up, the moon reflecting in her eyes. Clenching her fists, she leaped up into the air as a shadowed beast erupted from the tops of the tree. In a flash, the girl was higher in the air, standing on what seemed to be air. The beast landed in the middle of the street; it's growl now changing into a fierce roar. The girl raised a hand, revealing a black glove with golden tips on the edges of the fingers. Placed between her thumb and her main finger, a small golden cross was held softly. A golden light shone briefly before subsiding into the form of a golden bow. The girl wielded the bow and drew the string back. A soft flicker of light began to take the form of an arrow within her bow.

Below her, the beast, a dog like hollow, ran through the streets, attempting to sniff out the scent of the girl he had noticed. Finally, the hollow looked up, it's masked face staring directly at the girl in the sky. As it jumped into the air, the girl drew her bow. Without a second's hesitation, an arrow of light as released. The hollow didn't even have time to land properly before it's mask shattered. The hollow dissipating into fragments as it vanished into the night air. It's soul was forever gone. The hollow would not be going to the Soul Society or to Hell.

Yua landed on the street with a soft tap. Her bow shrunk back into the small golden cross and she began to walk down the street, looking for more prey.

A shimmering flash of light tore through that vile beast's form, neatly bisecting the Hollow into two halves before that girl could so much as land after her graceful acrobatics. It's mask shattered, partially, and it could be seen that it was indeed the spirit of a dog... some poor creature tormented so significantly that it had become a Hollow. But as it's body had been bisected, it seemed to decay at an unusually slow rate. Something was not allowing it to fall apart, it seemed. Rather than dissipate instantly it just stood there. Eventually, it's cleaved body rose, and if one looked closely it looked almost as though the thing were still alive... and someone new was walking towards it.

It wasn't certain how long it had been there, but a strange misty blackness rose from between a simple grocery store and a dry cleaners place. Night held the cloak of shadow over this place, which grew only stronger as a tremendous evil energy silenced the only light left here; the artificial light bulbs of the street posts, flickering unnaturally before falling to darkness. A tall, black-clad figure appeared from the misty mass of blackness, a rift in worlds; it was a Demon's Door, a smaller and stealthier version suited for those who wished to leave hell in quiet strides.

His broad shoulders were defined even in the tattered garment, which he threw aside with the swing of a long, powerful arm. The figure that was revealed actually showed to be a very handsome young man despite the wickedness he'd appeared to have silently spawned out of. He seemed like some great sculpture, his white skin dimly reflecting the slitted moon's light, the only light that remained to defy him... and even so, it seemed to diminish as it touched his gorgeous body, which was scarcely dressed in armor and a loincloth.

A sturdy metallic belt crossed his waist composed of many bullet-like cylinders forming armor, with two similar bands of chains and slender cylinders banded around his chest. They were stained red, with black trim and highlights, and golden chains connected them to one another. Two great shoulder plates sat atop his broad form, of different shapes. The one on his left jutted outward in spikes and was securely strapped to his arm as well as attached to the chain-cylinder armor wrapped around his chest, and seemed well suited for ramming into foes, as the protrusions were wickedly sharp and eerily malefic in some odd design. It extended roughly three feet off his shoulder. The other side was covered by a large, almost roman style plate of the same type and metal, except it rose to protect the neck and the head. A large red gem sat at it's center, glowing a faint red, whilst a cage-like organic mass of metal bars bent around to provide additional thickness on the lower guard rested beneath the shimmering gemstone. Both pieces of armor were the same bloody red color as the cylinders.

Black leather straps were all across his right arm, organized vertically near the joints, with the straps wrapping around the spaces in between the fingers and thumb of his brutal fist. The straps stopped beneath the shoulder, attached to the gemstone-set shoulder plate, which was also attached to the cylinders. Beneath that, Divus had an armored tasset belt beneath the cylinders around his waist. Near the crotch, it extended into a large skull shape carved into the belt, with wicked teeth and a third ruby eye. The eye sockets seemed sunken and dark, and from the mouth of the skull extended a fat, torn red cloth, long enough to reach Divus's ankles; it served to keep him decent.

The belt was attached to two separate pieces of metal that hung down the sides of Divus's powerful, exposed thighs in the vague shape of skeletal hands attacked to a larger, bent K shaped form, which curved around the back of his thigh and mid way across the hamstring. Above, it was connected by an eyeball-shaped joint metal ball and some chains beneath it. Evidently, the ball could rotate, and the metal fit Divus's legs perfectly. And beneath those, there was a pair of large, heavy boots. Spikes rose from the foot area all the way up to the mid calf around the edges, whilst a reptilian face sat at the base of each ankle with metallic red horns, and above where the spikes ended the armor boots jutted out in bladed forms along the sides and smooth bands up to the knee, from whence skull-shaped forms covered their caps and their curling horns swirled around Divus's joints to protect the entire knee on each leg. While outrageously decorative, the armor itself held no special powers; it was merely something he'd acquired in hell as a gift since becoming Dark Lord.

His crotch and upper legs and hips were also wrapped in black cloth bandages to prevent selective nudity in the event that the red cloth failed to conceal his testicles and shaft, and Divus reached down to withdraw a strange mask from the lower cylinder belt. It was shaped in a way eerily similar to a crocodile head but was made of solid gold. There were, however, vaguely humanoid shaping to the cheeks and forehead, and the terrifying thing was obviously made to fit a face. Slipping it onto his head, the mask made a sickening convulsion as it attached to Divus's face, somehow merging into the skin. Divus slipped a powerful black leather strap around the back of his head, connecting the mask to his face in the event it could fall just in case, although the way it had seemingly fused with his face averted that possibility; it seemed like a paranoid precaution, but his long, wild black hair covered it up anyway.

None of the armor, nor the mask, had any sort of special powers... Divus had simply liked it all, but the mask did have a purpose. Any demon exiting hell without a proper vessel required a mask lest they be dragged back. You never knew when you'd be snatched away - and even Divus, who'd evaded capture for countless years, had to beware of this danger. And so demons carried masks, and now, so did Divus. This was simply his mask; as long as it stuck to his face, which it did so vigilantly, he could not be sent back.

He rose a powerful hand, and his cloak flew into his left arm. opposite to the one bound in leather straps. This one had a fat golden gauntlet around the forearm, nearly four inches thick, a mass of intricately carved and root-shaped streams of yellow trim connected by masses of tiny chains meshed together beneath the gold fragments. Divus attached the cloak to a small mechanism on the inner side of the spiked shoulder plate, bunching it together and pressing it down underneath. When complete, it hung behind him in a black stream of fabric, torn and ripped. It was no longer a cloak but almost like a great malevolent flag draped over the back of Divus's mighty shoulder.

The creature, in some half-dead daze, fell slowly as if it were stuck in a sluggish rift in time, caused by the stiffness of it's motions and strangely delayed fall. It collapsed in front of him in a brutalized heap, not even fully intact, barely connected by swelling chords of flesh. Yet, blood loss was suspiciously minimal, as if being stuffed within by some great force. Divus was holding the creature together and it made a pained, sorrowful whine, just as a normal dog would. Divus crouched next to it, softly brushing it's wounded face. "It's alright. I'm here." He spoke, somehow familiar with the creature. It softly licked his hand with it's ruined face and pushed a paw up onto it's master. Divus reached his other hand down, into the split body, grasping the creature's heart. A ghastly power erupted from him in the form of a tremendous spiritual pressure.

All of it was being concentrated into a single dark spell; the work of demon magick was at hand. The flesh that was dead in the dog came to life once more, and the creature was slowly sealed back together, as if manipulated by some healing power that twisted the flesh. Even the mask slowly pushed itself back into place before merging. But then, moments later, the most damaged areas appeared strange. Swollen, with large bumps and nodules upon them, which opened up to reveal bloodshot eyes on the right hind leg and down it's stomach. Massive scars now spawned teeth, and sickly tongues hung from them. Much of the Hollow was now twisted and corrupted... and yet, it began to pant happily, standing at it's massive height and licking Divus's masked face. He chuckled softly, he lifted a mailbox and hurled it several hundred feet away. "Fetch." Divus commanded, and away the Hollow went, happily answering the command.

The girl's eyes widened softly as she noticed the dog spirit. It's large eyes stared at her as if they were begging for forgiveness. It was if it was begging for a second chance to live. Biting her lip, Yua shook her head, her eyes never leaving the dog. By now the hollows were usually gone, vanished into nothingness, but this spirit refused to die quickly like the others. It was if something was keeping it from dying. Yua took a step toward the dog spirit and raised her hand, the golden bow forming once more. This time, she didn't touch the string. Instead, the string withered away. Soon, a new string began to weave itself into existence from a soft silver light. When it finished forming, it stretched itself without Yua needed to so much as touch it. An arrow began to form within it, shining brilliantly in the night.

Her arm lowered the bow as the lights above her began to flicker. Gripping the handle of her bow tightly, Yua looked up to the lights. Her eyes narrowed as she looked beyond the flickering lights and into the sky. The clouds had over taken the moon and the stars. When the street lights finally died off into the night, the entire portion of the city was blanketed in night. This was the darkest she had ever seen inside of a town. Yua had hadn't seen a town street this dark since her days up in Hokkaido. Tokyo was always so bright and filled with life; it was the complete opposite of this weary street.

As her eyes searched the area around her, Yua chewed on her lower lip. There was a mist that she hadn't noticed before. She had been so preoccupied with the darkness that was beginning to shroud the night sky and the streetlights that she had neglected to notice the evil mist. Her eyes widened softly as she finally saw the figure of a man emerging from a blackness that seemed to pierce through reality itself. This was something that, like the dark street, was completely new to Yua. She had never seen a door like that in her life. Every instinct in her body screamed that it did not belong in this world. She even found herself bracing her legs, as if expecting the door to turn into a black hole and suck her in.

Yua lowered her bow slightly when she man's details began to appear. The clouds moved off the moon slowly, revealing his full appearance like a curtain drawing back on a scene from a play. There was no denying that the man was handsome, even perfect. However, that's what worried Yua. Even the moon seemed wary of his unnatural good looks. It seemed afraid to touch him, and while the light of the moon bathed him, it seemed to dance around him, constantly avoiding his skin. This produced a very odd effect of a black aura, but was it an effect?

Taking not of his armor, Yua found herself amazed by it all. Every piece of metal, every piece of leather, and every piece of cloth filled her eyes and senses. She took in each detail, the chain-cylinder armor that clung to his skin made her grip her bow so tightly that she felt her fingers might fall off. What was with this man? She had never seen a man wear so much crap in her life. It was like he was expecting a war zone in Karakura Town. Yua couldn't even begin to name most of the stuff he was wearing. It was like one big busy jigsaw puzzle. She almost had the gall to ask him if he was lost on his way to a Dungeons & Dragon session, but then she remembered that a man that gorgeous couldn't be into nerdy stuff like that.

When he raised his hand, Yua raised her bow instinctively, ready for an attack. His cloak moved through the wind, transforming into a cape after some quick attachments. Even then, it didn't even look like a piece of simple fabric. It was like a flag placed at the peak of a mountain. Her shoulders tensed as she watched him, taking in every small movement of his body. What was he doing? Who was this strange man? Why was he in Karakura Town? What did he want?

Her eyes instantly darted back to the dog's spirit. It was moving in an extremely odd fashion. The way the dog fell reminded Yua of a slow motion fall she had seen in a movie. The string of her bow tightened as it pulled itself back. Her free hand was hidden under her cloak, as if hiding from the man. Her eyes widened when she saw his hand reach into the dog's broken body and grab at what she could only assume were the remains of the heart. Yua could hear her heart pounding in her ears as she watched. Her body was screaming to run, but at the same time, it was as if it felt like running would just provoke what ever was in front of her. She felt like a deer caught in head lights.

What she saw next would forever be imprinted into her mind as the hollow was slowly recreated into a giant... monster. Yua's knees trembled when her eyes laid onto the beast. The areas the hollow had been torn apart in were now plump and swollen with hideous eyes. There were teeth where they shouldn't have been. Countless tongues and teeth were erupting from scars, and it created a creature so horrendous that Yua nearly fell to her knees and screamed. The only thing that kept her standing was her stubborn mind. She held her bow out, a large arrow already forming within the string. "Wha... What did you do to it?!" she called out to him, the arrow continuing to form in her bow. Her eyes relayed a fierce glare as she stared at the masked man. Without awaiting an answer, she released the arrow, shooting the hollow dog as it ran to fetch the mail bow for it's demonic master. The dog let out a whimper as it's mask shattered once more and it began to die again. Without a second thought, she pointed her bow to the ground, loading another arrow in case of combat.

He examined the girl with a curious grace. Even dressed in that overly-gaudy, malignant armor, he seemed somehow regal. That impossible dignity was contagious even to his surroundings. The blackness that followed him appeared noble as if to incriminate the light of the moon, and declare this man some kind of otherworldly champion. His long black hair swayed with the wind, as the sounds of the massive mutant dog hollow could be heard charging into the distance. It traveled quite far, and considerably fast! "I take it you're the one who shot my friend." Divus spoke, in a voice as stunning as his own attractiveness, yet not twisted in the same way that his armor made him seem. "She is my pet." Divus replied, pacing to the left, and then to the right, as he curiously examined the bow. Divus did not know what a Quincy was.

That crocodile mask was terribly unsettling. It wasn't overly animal-like or ridiculously ferocious, but instead, there was a feeling of total evil emanating from it. Something just wasn't right about it. It seemed reminiscent of what some insane Pharaoh would wear in complete contrast from all others, a cursed artifact, dangerous when placed in the hands of mere man. Yet, the one who wore it, standing before Yua, was quite a man. "Fire one more arrow at her, and you shall be a pet as well. I healed her." He explained, hardly owing her that after she'd been trying to slaughter his dog.

Then she shot another arrow anyway. striking the dog right in the face. Her aim was good, he'd give her that. But it didn't help her. If she had missed, it would have been another story. She had not missed. The dog was dying again. Spawning three crystal swords, the black blades flew over to it, turning back into liquid and covering the damaged area of it's face. They then crystallized, holding the mask fragments together and keeping the dog alive by holding it together until Divus could heal it again. For now, Divus had just acquired a new pet.

Divus began walking towards her. A power eerily similar to Himotengai would then suddenly rush at her; a spinning rotation of telekinesis surrounded Yua, shredding apart the concrete and then squeezing in towards her. If hit, the damage would be only minor cuts, perhaps damage to her quincy armor and gear. The main purpose was to immobilize her as Divus casually approached.

Yua shivered when she heard the man's voice. It wasn't as demented as she had expected it to be. In fact, it was rather pleasant to listen to. If she hadn't seen him just resurrect that hollow in the most gruesome way possible, she might have been swayed by it. However, she had seen him do that to the dog. That fact that such a twisted being could have such an attractive voice made Yua so disgusted she wanted to puke. "I shoot what needs shooting," she said, her voice shaking as she held her bow up toward him. "If such a monster is your pet, I suggest keeping it outside of the city!" she snapped, in a sudden moment. Her voice cracked as she spoke. She knew well that she was doing something dangerous by speaking like this to the man.

His mask was beginning to creep her out. It wasn't that it frightened her, but it felt like it was a completely different being from the man wearing it. It made her panicky. It made her want to flee. So when he warned her not to shoot her dog, she had already done it. It was a split reaction to the beast moving so quickly. After all, who wouldn't shoot an arrow at a monster dog that had just been chasing you a few minutes ago?

This time, the dog was covered by a black ooze created by floating swords. She gritted her teeth as she watched the ooze cover it's mask, keeping it together. Damn it. Why wouldn't that mutt just die? It wasn't as if it had a greater purpose on this planet. It was a hollow and it needed to die! Her eyes darted back up to the man. Clutching her bow tightly, she held it in front of her, ready for an attack, and boy did she get one. Her eyes opened wide in surprise when she felt the attack coming toward her. It was similar to her own technique! If so, then that would mean it was going to keep her from moving. Gritting her teeth, she fire her Blister Shot into the earth, creating an explosion that sent out a shock wave. Yua's small body flew back, riding the shock wave. Before she could hit the floor, her Himotengai came to life. The silver threads wove their way into existence and caught the girl in the air by the torso before she could hit anything. The threads retreated back into the reishi in the air as Yua stabilized and stood up in the air, bow in hand. She was now twenty feet in the air above the demon man. "Well.. that was interesting," she muttered softly.

Divus soared upwards, jumping swiftly off the ground and coming face to face with the girl. Outstretching his hands he grabbed the strings of Himotengai - which should have been impossible, as no mortal eye could see such things. But Divus didn't see it with his eyes; he saw it with his psychic vision, easily detecting their presence through his mind's eye. They burst into black flames suddenly. The Unmake technique had been their undoing. It would spread to all of them, literally negating the threads, although it wouldn't stop Yua from making new ones... but it did mean she no longer had them holding her body up.

Divus then pointed a finger at her stomach, and from it, a burst of telekinesis shot forth. It was still only a minor usage of telekinesis, but against her frail body, the wave of force would no doubt push down on her a great deal. Divus wanted to keep her on the ground where he could reach her easily. If she was a ranged fighter, he didn't want to let her get above him, in case she was stronger than he had assumed. But whilst this occurred, black liquid pulsated behind Yua, forming two black crystal swords that rushed towards her hips, aiming for nothing particularly deadly but rather to make basic cuts or gashes.

Isidra had just finished breaking up a fight between two hollows. They had been screaming and bellowing over some sort of dog that they both wanted. He readily brought peace by knocking them out by hitting them on the head lightly with his zanpakuto. But as he noticed that as the Garganta disappeared he realized that some sort of hollow had gone and it was definitely dog shaped. He shrugged and though, "What the heck, I'll fetch their stupid dog". He then opened his own garganta to go to the location where the dog had gone. As he arrived, he realized things were definitely more complicated. There was this strange figured clothed in rich and elegant yet sinister clothing. There was also a strange human with a bow. "These sure are some strange humans" momentarily thought Isidra. That was before they started fighting. He watched in horror as the richly clothed man brought the dog back to life to some sort of creepy....he didn't have the right to judge as he himself was a hollow, the lowest of the low.
But he also admired the man somewhat for saving that creature. But as the "dog" ran away, the person with the bow shot it blowing it up. "Woah" thought Isidra, "I guess these aren't your run of the mill humans." As he sensed out their power using his pesquisa he determined that they were both considerably stronger than him, especially that handsome looking man. "It's for peace then" grimly thought Isidra. He lifted his zanpakuto up to chest level and said, "Flow! Energy" quickly there was a great burst of light that obscured himself. He merged a being seemingly made out of energy. He launched his 8 cero missiles and set them to auto lock, each one with the power of a standard cero. He sent all 8 of them at the man (Divus) and generated two energy whips and attempted to slash the human's face with them. One came from the right and the other came from the left.

Yua felt herself physically shake when her eyes caught sight of the man flying through the air toward her. Before she could even respond, he was directly in front of her, their faces staring into each other. When he stretched his hand out to her, her eyes squeezed shut. However, he did not touch her. No, he grabbed her Himotengai. Both eyes shot open as her mind felt the strings grasped within his hands. No one had ever grabbed the strings without cutting their hands into small bits. As she fell back into the air, Yua could feel her shoulder's tremble. This man wasn't like anyone she had fought before. He wasn't human. He wasn't a Shinigami, and if he was a Hollow, she was terrified.

Still falling, she raised her arm. Strings ran out from a nearby building, wrapping around her arm as the man pointed his finger at her. Yua's body snagged against the strings, and her shoulder ached with pressure as she swung, narrowly avoiding the burst of odd energy that caused the tree branches in the area she had just fled from to fall apart. Her swinging body fled from the liquid until it reached the end of the rope and swung into the grocery store the strings had been attached to.

Her body ached as she turned to see the new arrival to the fight. It was another creature she had never seen before. He jumped into the fight without much thought, and Yua felt herself curse as she clung to the string rope against the grocery store's wall. As the black liquid from the handsome man and the tendrils from the new comer came toward her, she cursed softly. With a flicker, Yua was in the air. She watched as the black liquid smashed into the odd energy whips, then looked to the two men. She was only six feet up in the air. "What the hell are you?" she asked the man.

Karakura Town, Unknown Time.

In the shadows of the night, away from the touch of the moons light, lingered a black silhouette. Within the blink of an eye the dark silhouette vanished before re-appearing near the base of a school building. As the clouds shifted the moonlight caught the figure, destroying the shroud of darkness that had kept him from sight. The figure, a man who appeared to be in his mid thirties, was wearing a black assassins outfit, a large cloak hooded cloak hanging off his shoulders. The mans silver eyes seemed to glow in the moon light, as did his silver hair.

As the clouds once again crossed over the moon the figure vanished once again only to appear atop a tall building, seemingly looking out over the city. In reality the man was atop the building in order to get a better bearing of the area as he had just sensed three different reiatsu signatures in close proximity. After a few moments the man jumped from the building, heading along the empty city streets. While the man was not close enough to the people he sensed to see them, he could feel they're energies rising before one that felt to him like an arrancar's suddenly spiked.

Masaru did not bother taking time to understand the third energy he felt, only to acknowledge that the arrancar was near a quincy. With a silent breeze Masaru vanished, the only noise cause by his movement was but a faint whisper. Upon nearing the scene Masaru silently drew his zanpakuto and made sure his reiatsu was as hidden as possible. Masaru watched the three figure's he came upon for a moment, one seemed to be an arrancar made of pure energy, this arrancar was unleashing an attack on the female quincy and the third figure.

Although Masaru was unsure of who and what the third being was, he would not allow the arrancar to harm a human even if that human may be a quincy. Silently before moving from his current possition Masaru whispered to himself, "Bakudo #26 Kyokko". The bakudo would momentarily hide his form and reiatsu by bending the light around him. After the bakudo took effect Masaru made his way silently towards the arrancar, until he was about 15 feet behind it and 10 feet to its right.

For but a moment the area Masaru was standing at seemed to shimmer as he raised his hand, index finger pointed towards the center of the arrancar's form. "Hado #4 Byakurai". As the white lightning like hado burst from Masaru's finger the arrancar would first feel the Hado pierce it before hearing the faint whisper of Masaru's voice on the gentle breeze that had begun to blow.

In the time it took Masaru to both cloak himself and fire the Byakurai the arrancar had successfully launched its attacks. Masaru noted eight cero like attacks streaking towards the third mysterious being, as two energy whips made their way towards the human from both sides. Masaru was about to make way to defend the quincy when he saw an odd black liquid intercepted the odd energy whips. Masaru continued to watch as the girl just managed to dodge two black crystal like blades.

With a silent burst of shunpo Masaru put himself in the middle distance between the three, while offsetting his position slightly as to be able to dodge a possible attack from one of the three. Standing there Masaru's right side shifted forward, his zanpakuto slipping into a defensive style and his left hand aglow in his ocean blue reiatsu. "Now... what have I managed to get myself involved in?" Masaru questioned lightly before continuing on, "So what do an arrancar... and what ever you are... want with a quincy?" Masaru questioned once again, shifting his attention to the third figure(Divus) when he spoke the words what ever you are.

At this point Masaru had already begun to release his reiatsu, although only enough to show himself as an Lt level shinigami. Masaru knew unless he were to don his mask he had no risk of the three feeling the hollow nature of his reiatsu. While Masaru truly did not know what was bound to happen at the moment, he did know he wouldn't allow the quincy to come into harm.
