Akihiko walked down the street with his hands rammed into the pockets of his jeans. The crisp autumn air was a welcome change from the muggy, humid summers that commonly plagued Japan. The humidity was usually rather bad, especially in the city, and made his gigai uncomfortable. Damn thing was a tight fit as it was.
Due to the crisp air, he had placed on his leather jacket, the sleek black reflecting some of the lights from the street lamps as he passed them. He had a fitted cap on and pulled low, not really worried about bumping into someone on the sidewalk--it was rather late and he had already left the more crowded districts of Karakura. He had already hit the Old Quarter and was now on his way home.
Stopping he looked around, senses going out for any spiritual pressure that could belong to the Seireitei. It had a long time, but the paranoia was still as dominant as ever. After all, the Seireitei wasn't one to just 'forget' a Captain leaving.
