{RP Request Template}
Since we have such a loose-based rp system cheaters and god-modders are a potential problem. Staff can have a lot going on sometimes and dealing with every complaint because of such a loose system could slow us down from doing more useful things like running events, playing npcs, or cooking up new fancy systems to make your time here more fun! That being said, we've created an "RP Request Template" so you can help make staff's life(and your own) easier.
Things To Know
1. What are RP templates for? They exist to set some guidelines that all rpers in a thread agree to. You can use it to prohibit death, serious wounds, or fights all together. You can use it to set the plot of your thread or label yourself or another the "thread master" who will control npcs and guide the plot. Violation of these guidelines requires that the violator either edit their post or leave the thread. If a violation is suspected, discuss it with your fellow rper and link them back to the template. If they feel they did not violate the rules, the next course of action is to post a request for staff and they will make a final call which both members must agree to abide by.2. Roleplay Requests are NOT mandatory! You don't "have" to fill one out every time you go to do an rp. But it is a courtesy to your fellow rpers and staff. It's a useful tool for plotting threads and is very helpful for less experienced role players in developing structure with your threads.
3. You do not have to fill out all the sections of the RP template.
4. These templates can be customized to be expanded and have more information. However they MUST retain all the fields of the original template. If even one is missing, the authority it had is null and void. If you don't want to use it, leave it blank.
5. RP Templates must be posted [insert "here" with link to a dedicated sub-forum]. All other participants must post in the template thread before they can begin posting in the rp thread. Any rper who joins a thread that has an existing template can be kicked from the thread by the creator OR thread master if they have failed to post in the template thread.
6. By posting in a template thread it is considered a binding contract that all rpers involved are agreeing upon. Any edits made the the template after an rper has posted with their "signature" render the contract null and void unless all rpers in the thread post again saying they approve the edit. It is possible to approve actions that violate the template guidelines without going through this process of editing and posting so long as all rpers agree. However doing it without going through this system leaves the rpers to handle any future problems regarding what was changed themselves.
Request Template
Thead Name: (Put the name of the thread here.)
Thread Link: (Put a link to the thread here.)
Thread Master: (Who will be allowed to control NPCs and guide the plot? This can be multiple people.)
Thread Participants: (Who will be participating in the thread? Include username and Character names)
Roleplayer Name / Character Name
Roleplayer Name / Character Name
Roleplayer Name / Character Name
Thread Limitations: (This is where you put any rules imposed upon the thread. By default death is disabled. To activate the risk of death mention it here. You can also forbid other things such as serious wounds, fighting all together. So long as all participants agree, almost any limitation can be placed here. Even something as silly as, "No dancing" in a social thread or something practical such as "No shikai/bankai" for a friendly spar between shinigami.)
Plot Guide: (Here you share any pre-agreed plot points. This is a good field for ensuring you get what you want out of a thread. Fear your fellow RPer is going to take the plot off the rails and ruin your plans? Give a general outline here ahead of time to lock in key plot points and keep people on track. This section is a bit of a trade off though as you might have to give away spoilers to your super awesome twist. Use wisely.)
Thread Location: (Where is the thread taking place? Soul Society? The bottom of the grand canyon? If you plan on traversing multiple places you can name the first or state them all.)
Resolve Drive: (Resolve Drive is a term used to describe a moment when a character pulls some ridiculous save out of their bum when in all rights they should have probably died. An example is Ichigo's hollow bringing him back from the dead. If you plan on having one, say yes here. This is to help staff if they ever review the thread for training purposes. We will know to expect it rather than think you are just being god mod. More information on use of Resolve Drive can be found here.
Comments: (This is the place to put any comments related to the thread, such as advantage differences and discussing who would be "faster" and such.)

----------------------------------
((Disclaimer: An rper could theoretically use the RP Request Template to apply the old stat system to their character by writing that into the "Thread Limitations" section. However, if there is a plot event and you want to use the old system, but need to rp with someone who uses the new system, you will ether have to compromise and adapt to the new system, convince the other rper to compromise and use the old system, or both of you compromise and meet in middle ground. However! Since the new system would be the new default, if the rper fond of the new system refuses to compromise, you'll have to either use the new system or or simply not rp. The danger here is if some members refuse to use the new system no matter what, they will be unable to rp with other members, possibly during an important plot event.))
