Personality: Moreno de la Hacha is a loner. He dislikes company, even in combat, and prefers to do everything alone. If he must tag along with someone, or work alongside someone, he will complain, but he has been shown to be fully capable of achieving teamwork. It appears that the only person Moreno seems to be able to tolerate well is Reyes; anyone else will be ignored or observed with an aloof gaze, if they are Arrancar, or regarded with pure disdain, if they are anything else. Trust is a foreign word to Moreno. Even Reyes he does not fully trust, although Reyes is the most trusted individual as far as Moreno is concerned. Anyone else, and Moreno will not even trust them with his trash. As such, Moreno has no qualms betraying anyone, except Reyes, and will use others as stepping stones to achieve his goals. He is a calculating tactician, and will hardly make a frontal attack in combat; everything has some hidden agenda attached to it when Moreno is fighting.
A perfectionist to the letter, Moreno isn't the kind of guy to leave something half-done. This means that, unless he has been ordered otherwise, Moreno does not have a habit of leaving his opponents alive, except he loses the fight, or is impressed by his opponent. He doesn't speak much, and will say as little as is necessary. When fighting, should Moreno come across an opponent whose fighting he considers to be noteworthy, Moreno will spare his life, in the hopes that they will meet, and battle, again. To Moreno, everything is doomed to die, and there is no more honorable dispatch than death in battle. With the mindset of one that sees everything as geared towards death, Moreno is rather quite pessimistic, and hardly has a bright view about anything, although at least his views are pragmatic enough.
Although he tries not to show it, Moreno respects Reyes to the point of consciously attempting to please him, and will carry out his every command without question or complaint. He will not follow anyone else's orders, unless Reyes has told him to do so, or such a person has proved, by might, that he is Moreno's better. Moreno respects power, and those who wield it. As a result, he craves power. That is his ultimate goal: to be the strongest thing in existence.

Intended Role: Intended for the Age of Legend arc, although his survival beyond the arc can place him in an Espada position.
He first met Reyes as a hollow, and attempted to eat him, but Reyes overpowered him. While expecting to be killed, Reyes instead broke off his mask, ascending him to become an Arrancar. Since that day, he considers Reyes his general, and has followed him without question since.
