 "They say the shadows are slaves to the beauty of her radiance." Name: Kobayashi, Kimie [后] Alias: Kim, Kobayashi-sama Phys. Age: Late 20s Real Age: 1,000 years Gender: Female Species: Shinigami (Visored) Alignment: Lawful Neutral Appearance: An otherworldly gorgeous woman, who carries herself without no concern for what others might think of her, and whose beauty is said to have even the shadows to bow at her. Her hair is of a coral colorization, and worn in the right side, with some of it covering parts of her face - this is achieved with two chinese hair pins and a pink rose, that decorate her hair. She has slightly tanned complexion, and she isn't the most shortest woman in Soul Society, though one would not exactly call her tall, when she is not wearing her heels. The right side of her torso and hand is tattooed with a landscape of a japanese sakura tree, a river with a wooden bridge over it and cherry blossoms; the only memory she has left of her home. Her lips are soft and painted in pink, and bandages cover her scarred arms, while her striking glare is of a neon green colorization. Art © rei-koumei of DeviantART Personality: Background: Zanpakuto: Gekijō no Oni [劇場鬼, "Theatre of Demons"] is a gruesome, diabolical sword, and it's techniques, referred as 'plays', seem to center around a perverse, dreadful form of dramatic arts - to be specific, one, that focuses on bloodshed and massacre as entertainment. It's spirit is comprised of a shadow of every soul it has killed, who have became slaves to the demonic force, that inhabits the sword - and these corrupted souls function as the 'actors' for the zanpakuto's twisted plays, absolute slaves to it's wielder's will. The blade seems to have the elements of both shadow and illusion. Ability: Kageoni [影鬼, lit. "Shadow Demon"] Ability Effect: Upon release, her blade will cast a large shadow into the ground, from which will emerge a demonic entity, coated in darkness. This being is completely black and seems gaseous, but is more corporeal than you'd think - it wears onyx-colored oni mask, black armor and a dark katana, and it has no shadow of it's own. This entity is capable of traveling through a shadow to another shadow, rendering it hard to hit when it's standing on a shadow; in addition, being covered by shadows grants it near-invisibility, due to it's colorization. However, it is only dependent on shadows to be conjured, and it is perfectly capable of functioning without them. It's extremely durable entity, and only decapitation and a blade through the heart seems to be able to destroy it, as slashes and other injuries are ignored due to lack of nervous system and flesh. If faced with a force, that is enough to throw it in dozens of pieces, it can also be vanquished. It is mentally controlled by the wielder of zanpakuto, who can use it to literally be in two places at the same time, without sacrificing her focus - this shadows can be thought as a shadow of her soul, and thus, she can share their senses and even talk through them. It's equally common for the wielder to use the dark spirits as assassins and spies, which serve her command. The gruesome part of the ability is the illusions, that can leave the foe crippled for a while. When contact is made, even if very briefly, with the dark katana it wields or the being itself, the opponent immediately falls into an illusion dictated by the wielder - the scenery is always that of a japanese theatre, and the main focus tends to be death and bloodshed. If one wishes to escape the theatre, they must do something, which they do not want to; for example, kill themselves slowly and painfully, murder a loved one or be tortured and slaughtered by a group of 'actors'. The pain, both physical and mental, lingers even after you've escaped the illusion, which makes the ability very dangerous from the perspective of opponent. There is no way of leaving the theatre without a sacrifice. This shadow demon is always the same tier, that the wielder is - not including any boost of power, that might be active for her. Thus, the shadow demon is at tier 2-1, unless it's wielder levels up. However, Kimie can actually conjure more than one of these beings, which causes the tier of the shadow servant to drop by one with every additional oni summoned. Two shadows would have the tier of 2-2, three would be 2-3, and four would be of tier 3-1 - the cycle continues on and on, until it reaches ten oni of tier 5-1, after which the wielder is left unable to summon more. Should one of the ten die, the nine would drain the dying one's power to strengthen themselves and thus gain a tier on spot, but it also means, that this oni has now retreated to the blade - the wielder cannot summon this oni or any oni that has died again, until a cooldown of ten posts has passed. Bankai: Gyakusatsu no Gekijō [虐殺劇場, "Massacre in the Theatre"] is the cruel bankai of Gekijō no Oni, which could be considered even more twisted than it's first form. Instead of using the oni to trap it's wielder's opponents in an illusion, it creates a field of reiatsu, that creates an illusion of the japanese theatre, trapping everyone within the radius of 500 feet in it - one cannot, however, escape the illusion by stepping out of the area, as everything happens within their minds. This is the 'last play', and traditionally, it is the most violent and most deadly - as with all great finales. In this chapter, the opponent is faced with their worst and darkest fears, and forced to fight to death with the darkest aspect of their own soul. In addition, the illusion might utilize memories of the person, who is subjected to it, due to it's ability to draw from the mind of a foe - the idea is, that it makes the stage one's personal hell. What makes this even more feared, the illusion causes the opponents to experience deadly bleeding in the brain, should they be killed in the illusion. Some opponents never awaken from the dream, nor do they die, because they haven't been killed in the illusion - instead, they are forever trapped in their own hell. For most part, each opponent has a separate illusion, and rarely are their experiences connected to each other. Ability Name: Watashi wa Kimi [私君は, "I am you"] Ability Effect: By using the same principle as in Kageoni, the wielder draws from the shadow of opponent's soul to create an oni, that will take the appearance of whatever it perceives the foe's deepest fear, sin or hate. This being knows everything that the person it was created from, but appears as someone else as often as it appears as a dark twin of the person - the wielder of zanpakuto 'sees' the battle, but does not have access to the knowledge of this special oni, nor can she truly control it. This being is set on causing the opponent as much misery as they can, before killing them - they serve the 'Theatre' and wish to give the audience (corrupted souls trapped within the blade, who have yet to become oni) a good show. Their powers vary, in the sense that they will take on the abilities of their opponent, or the opponent's worst fear - they can develop entirely different powers, but this can only happen, when the player of opposing player agrees. This oni is of the same level as the wielder of the zanpakuto, and thus, it means no additional shadow servants can be conjured. Role Suggestion: RP List: [Insert threads here!] |
