Appearance: His or her face is said to be a mystery even to the Captain Commander.
Personality: A careful and extremely considerate man or woman. He or she has taken care not to reveal their physical appearance even to his own squad. He or She has been captain of squad 3 for 600 years and has never slipped up. It’s recorded that even during his captain exam he or she only revealed his or her reiatsu signature to the Captain Commander along with his or her face. The Captain Commander himself assured the Gotei 13 that this captain not only exists, but is a master of disguise, deceit, espionage, and all facets of information gathering. To encourage compliance with laws he or she asked the Captain Commander to make it known that he or she has the ability to perfectly mask or alter their reiatsu signature. The Captain Commander cited a story of this man or woman being in his presence for several years without his being aware of it; without his even knowing that it was the same person making sporadic appearances in his life as different people. Sometimes he was an opponent, sometimes an ally or close friend, and sometimes he served simply as a servant to the Captain Commander. This planted the idea that he or she could be anywhere at any time.
He or she asks that his Vice Captain inform all new members that though they do not know him or her, to rest assured knowing that he or she has met them prior to their even being given permission to join his or her squad.
Shikai: Prove True, Stigma. This is the release phrase of his shikai. This may not fit his personality, but it absolutely fits his profession and role in the Gotei 13. The stigma that goes along with being a spy and master of espionage is that one can not be trusted. A spy is a complete disgrace, lacking honor, and a traitor. A traitor who would stab anyone in the back given the chance. This shikai is a unique one that essentially does just that. It creates the perfect opportunity to strike at an opponent’s back. It projects the user’s offensive actions before him or her as though they were in front of a mirror, only there is no actual reflection or presence at all and the action being projected is based on intent, not just the user’s actions. The user begins creating the intent through their own action before the intent is manifested on the other side of their opponent. For example, if the user slashes down on a target, but the target blocks it, the slash which occurs from behind the target doesn’t stop where the original slash was blocked, it continues and follows through. Perhaps the most troublesome aspect of this shikai though is its introduction of a substance similar to what’s commonly known as truth serum, into cuts even if projected. An afflicted person with a strong will and experience may choose not to talk, but if they do, it will be an honest response to questions the user has. The manifested blow has a reach which stops just short of its projector’s own body so that he or she isn’t harmed along with the target.
Bankai: Blackmail, Stigma. Projects will upon the physical world. Though this still posses the same characteristics of the shikai state, this is no longer simply a battle of back and forth strikes and prairies. A strike which is dealt doesn’t necessarily count or apply as much damage as it should. Depending on whether or not specific conditions are met a blow which would have under normal circumstances caused decapitation may cause a simple nick which barely draws blood. By that same token, a cut which would ordinarily break skin may sever a limb. After a strike is made the person who made it must make a statement about their target. The target states whether it’s true or false. If it is true damage is applied, however the more damaging blows result from statements which are lesser known and more integral to a target’s being. For example, if the user is fighting an Arrancar and states that he or she is an Arrancar when it’s no secret, then the attack will basically count for nothing. In this instance, a strike that should have instantly killed will leave little more than a barely visible cut. However, were this same statement made about an Arrancar posing as a Shinigami and it was a well kept secret, a small cut will almost certainly become a mortal wound. A target which does not answer will experience the most severe reaction. Of course these statements only apply to those within the target’s realm of knowledge.
