Personality: Meiyo is a very formal man, he rather keeps himself ready but is always willing to be a role model, although he has seen countless battles, he still enjoys the simple things of his life, he is also quite perceptive, seeing the truth and the "heart" of a person and is able to perceive things better then most, he is highly intelligent and can think on his feet, using his range of kido and his zanpakuto to fight enemies
Reiatsu: Meiyo's reiatsu takes on the form of black flames, his reiatsu is so hot that it burns those that come near him within a five meter radius of his person, he also leaves burn marks where his feet walk when he is releasing his reiatsu as he becomes so hot that simply standing for a few seconds burns his footprints into the very ground he stands on
Sealed Zanpakuto: His zanpakuto in its sealed state is a katana with a guard shaped like the sun with four whispers of flames facing north west, north east, south west and south east respectfully and has crimson wrapping on the hilt
Shikai: The name of his zanpakuto is "kusanagi" (Grass Cutting Sword) and it's release command is "Blaze through the heavens" (Ten o moesakaru), to release his blade, he lifts his blade to the sun before doing a wide arc to his right side, upon its release, it erupts into black flames, covering Meiyo in a sphere of black flames, he then cuts through the sphere of flames with his released sword, which is now has a angel wing hand guard connected from the guard to the hilt at the bottom of the handle, the blade has become thicker to the thickness of a longsword as the blade is now completely black and kanji is inscribed across the entire blade on both sides for amaterasu (天照大神) which glow a deep, dark red, the blade is also covered in a thin layer of black flames.
The blade has some shikai techniques of the following:
Technique Name: Disintegration slash
Technique Description: By speaking the release command, "Disintegrate" along with his zanpakuto's name, he momentarily increases the power of the flames around the blade so anything cut off with the blade once the command is spoken is turned to ash but only the part cut off by the blade and the technique cannot turn all parts of the opponent to ash as it is beyond the power of his blade to do so. the example with this power would be if he called this power and sliced off his opponent's arm; only the arm would be turned to ash, the rest of his opponent would be fine and the wound would not bleed because the extreme heat would seal the wound. can only be use once per battle
Technique Name: Eruption
Technique Description: By speaking the command "Erupt" along with the name of his zanpakuto before driving the blade into the ground, he sends up to eight trails of black flames towards his opponents before erupting at their feet with a fiery explosion that rockets into the sky, burning the target along with explosive damage which could last from two to five turns, depending on tier/ Requires a four post cool down before reuse
Technique Name: Flame slash
Technique Description: by funneling his black flames into his sword, he makes a wide swung which sends a curved wave of black flames towards targets, similar to the getsuga tensho, only with additional burn damage. Takes one post to cool down before reuse
Bankai: There is no command phrase for using his bankai. The name of his bankai is Rippa shōbō kusanagi (Honorable Fire Grass Cutting Sword) and takes the form of a giant golden warrior with a aura of black flames, the giant standing at fifty meters tall or about the size of a cruise ship with a large sword made to look like one, long flame and a large shield that is partially see through with the outside made to look like flames, his bankai can do massive damage by creating twisters of black flames, creating massive black flame fireballs as well as creatures made of the black flames including Chinese dragons, saber tooth tigers and eagles as well as using his sword to attack foes and his shield to defend with, although it suffers from the same weakness as Kokujō Tengen Myō'ō as whatever damage the bankai receives, so does Meiyo but is restored when Meiyo is as well as the massive heat it produces starts to melt away everything within range of Meiyo's bankai so if he keeps his bankai out too long, it could melt the entire seireitei by itself so Meiyo only ever uses his bankai when he doesn't have a choice as his bankai at his stage of development is hard for him to control.

Meiyo also makes use of glass style kido that includes the following:
Tōketsu shita sugatami (frozen looking glass):
a Kido barrier that freezes a object within a cylinder of glass, only use on materials and objects only as it's area of effect is small and isn't big enough to seal more then a leg or a arm, even then, the barrier can be broken easily, more like a storage kido then a barrier
Jibun o han'ei (Reflect yourself):
a kido spell that activates when someone touches the mirror, the mirror shatters and the glass forms into a mirror copy of the original, only made of glass, these clones have all the fighting skills of the original and their zanpakuto but without the released form, but the copies have a form of glass regeneration that allows them to regenerate most wounds after two posts but slicing their head off stops them from moving for three posts while their head grows back, the clones can't be stopped until they are deactivated or if the one fighting them defeats them all before they can get back up, in either case, the copies will simply shatter back into the pieces that made them up and can't be used again because the kido used to make them can only use it on one mirror per shot, meaning that one mirror can only be cast with the kido once in its lifetime, even if repaired, this fact will still be there
