Item name: Reiryoku Converter
Description: Reiryoku Converter Sfera9.jpgcddb52eb-66e2-4e37-8ffc-a67cce363ae3Original
A small device no larger than a golf ball.
Effect: The Reiryoku Converter is a device which is programmed to alter a users reiryoku presence, and in turn their reiatsu signature. This changes the frequency of an energy reading making it possible to completely imitate that which would belong to a human or death god. This device is specifically made for the Hollow and Arrancar body. After the desired signature is programmed into the compact computer the device is carefully inserted into the Hollow hole. Regardless of the reiryoku unleashed, the signature will mirror that of the desired spiritual entity. Once inserted, protecting the device is key. Any damage to it damages the reiryoku circulatory system which results in prolonged loss of spiritual power. The device is efficient enough to fool the most advanced scanning devices.
Number of it you have/possible/allowed: Currently 1, but easily manufactured
History: Originally created for means of infiltrating Soul Society Mx. Macquinarey, future plans changed when focus shifted towards the current political conditions in Hueco Mundo. Assuring that the war that was likely to result between growing forces of Las Noches and the Army of Blood wouldn't effect his research took priority.

This item falls under the banned "mimicry" I previously had a similar ability which was denied on the premise that it mimic's the spiritual signatures of other races.

I am curious about the conditions surrounding the instance of your "ability" rejection. There has been at least one instance in the Bleach universe where a Hollow naturally possessed the ability to pose as an innocent plus.

I believe there is a bit of confusion here though. Either on my part or your part.  :urharaftw:

The banned mimicry rule that was voted into effect after what I believe is the second or third reboot since I've been here applies to techniques, abilities, and powers in general. I don't believe it applies to imitating a race. This device changes an energy signature but doesn't actually allow for one to mimic the powers of any specific death god. This is more akin to erasing an energy signal to also disguise ones race. It is after all possible for an Arrancar or shinigami to play another race by hiding a physical characteristic and erasing their spiritual pressure all together. It's also possible for one to lower their spiritual pressure to pretend that that they are a weaker character. These I don't believe fall under the mimicking of powers, techniques, or abilities rule.

Regardless, after looking into it further, please let me know because I can scrap this invention.

Thanks for your help X3

Mimic'ing somone's spiritual signature vicariously falls under one's "power" as it is an internal part of this: however, I will ask Yuki and let her decide on what she thinks.

Kk, thanks. It's very interesting that your ability was denied the first time. Perhaps it was just that long ago? I actually inquired about making a similar device to be used in a personal/side-plot and I was given the go ahead as early as 2013 I believe.

If that is so I would like to see quotes or screenshots. Early 2013 was before the most recent reboot, so it likely would not carry over. Mimicry is mimicry when it comes down to it. It will not be approved for reasons state above. Sorry.

I would PM you but I suppose my PMs aren't getting though as I haven't received responses from you for the last several I sent.

Here is the organization.

I believe the discussion took place between Eden and I. However, the actual invention, along with a few of my creations in 2013 have been deleted or moved someplace else. In fact nothing is showing up before 2014. This is near two years after I created my first inventor. D:

Regardless, a living item which attached itself to the hollow hole, ate reiatsu and produced a variation of different reiatsu types as waste was reviewed. I was later told that I could use this in a secret side plot.

The rule for mimicry never covered reiatsu and I can find no posts showing that imitating another race or character by manipulating reiryoku was ever an issue before the suggestion of this invention. "In my opinion, mimicry should be banned. On other sites it is annoying as hell when people mimic and use YOUR techniques that you put the work into." These were your own words Yuki but you weren't the first to say them. At one point I believe Duquin broke down the rule when the list was made during the reboot. This was of course in an unrelated thread.

If you are now expanding this rule, so be it, there's nothing I can really do about that. If neither of you budge, I must simple scrap this idea. I shall have to try another route.. Crying or Very sad

Thanks for your consideration. *Begins to tear up*

A discussion between you & Eden about a personal plot through the use of unknown and unverified material holds no weight. I don't mean to say that in a negative manner, without the proof that it was approved, it is your word against anyone else's word. Putting Eden into power was a mistake on my part anyways, but simply having the "green light" from one staff isn't enough, especially with no visual proof.

The rule on mimicry was fist brought up when my character was first created. My character had the ability to consume fallen enemies & mimic their powers & spiritual signature: my intention as to invade SS with a side-plot with this, but an overwhelming number of members and staff made a fuss about it & out-right banned mimicry. Over the process of the last couple of years, the wording of the mimicry has been altered: this allows for personal interpretation and use of loopholes. I left the decision with Yuki & she has determined Mimicry in general is banned. The banned material will be edited appropriately to be more clear. Apologies for the hassle.

Ah, yes, that makes sense then. It was always against the rules in every reboot to consume a person and mimic their powers.

Anyways, thanks for the clarification X3

Consider this idea scrapped.
