Kuroi
THE WOMAN OF DEATH Zanpakuto Name: Shinokuni [猿田毘古大神, Land of Death] Sealed Appearance: Shinokuni takes the form of a nodachi, it has a black handle and has a large emerald embedded in the blade near the bottom of the blade. The guard has a leaf design, appearing to be a maple leaf that is symmetrical to the other side creating a perfect reflection of this guard. Overall the blade is good, having a second but much smaller emerald hanging from a chain at the end of the handle. Shinokuni's blade is considered very beautiful and has a rich white glow to it, in the moonlight the sword has an almost unreal appearance as it glows in the light of the moon and can be blinding when hit with sunlight. The sword is sheathed into a matching black sheath which has a ribbon tied at the the opening which is emerald green, suiting the black-green colour scheme that Shinokuni follows. Zanpakuto Affinity: Nature, despite the name of Shinokuni sounding evil it truly misleads those that attempt to decipher the ability by name alone. Shinokuni's powers are related to the Earth and nature, although the powers in general relate to the earth and nature it has a play on meaning due to Shinokuni being the one who has the Earth embrace the corpses of those that die upon it. Spirit Description: [What does your zanpakuto's spirit look like? How do they act? What kind of inner world your zanpakuto possesses? We will be looking forward to reading one paragraph about each, but two in total will be enough, if you're not looking for a higher tier.] Release Phrase: Nourish, Shinokuni Shikai Appearance: [What does your zanpakuto look like, when released to it's initial form? Keep in mind, that the swords tend to have a specifically colored blade in Shikai, though not always! We require you to write here at least as much as you've written in the sealed appearance.] Shikai Abilities: [Unlike in the past, there is no longer a set amount of personal or release abilities given to characters - instead, you're given five ability slots, that you're free to distribute as you wish thorough the application's ability sections. However, since you decided to make a shinigami, one of these abilities will be saved for your Bankai, so you only have four slots to begin with!] Ability Name: Land of Death Ability Effect: Shinokuni is the God of both Nature and Power and as such grants her user similar abilities to that of her own in order to suit her user's needs. With Shinokuni, the user is connected directly and can communicate, influence, manipulate and control all of nature. This includes all living beings, plants, geology of the Earth, and the matter and energy of which all these things are composed. Manipulating power is works both offensively and defensively for her user as they are able to control the force of an attack that they launch or that is directed towards them. Using the power manipulation aspects of Shinokuni allows the user to cause massive damage to an opponent with even a shallow wound or cause damage from an opponent's strike to do little or no damage at all, as long as the user is able to perceive the attack before it connects. Combining the two powers into one is a simple and often used feat; as the user can extend the reach of their attacks, not by extending their range, but by utilizing the very nature around them as a medium in order to transfer the force of their blows. This simple trick often catches opponents off-guard since as long as they stay connected to the Earth, they are subject to one of the user's attack from almost any direction, making defense an incredibly hard. Since the user can use Shinokuni to communicate with nature itself, they are able to become instantly familiar with their surroundings, receiving an instant mapping of the area around them and anyone in contact with the Earth. The connection is so deep that the Earth will respond to their desires, allowing them to change the terrain in order to suit their needs within a one hundred metre radius. Shikai Techniques: [As of the new slot customization rule, you're now given fifteen technique slots, that you may distribute thorough your application as you wish. You can give your character two general techniques and thirteen shikai techniques. However, since you chose to make a shinigami, five of these slots are locked from your use, until you reach Bankai, so you have ten to start out with!] Name of Technique: Tsuchisensu [土センス, Earthen Sense] Technique Description: A passive technique of Shinokuni while the Shikai is activated. It allows the user to sense vibrations through the ground; seeing by sensing their surroundings and making a mental image of it. It allows for a 360 degree field of vision, outside of their normal line-of-sight. However, in order to do this the user must maintain contact with the ground. This ability is not applicable on all surfaces, as it rendered useless on areas that do not transfer vibrations well, such as sand and if the people are floating above the ground. Once the user releases his zanpakuto, the Earth beneath the ground they walks on is subjugated and falls under their control, as it starts to dissolve. As the user continues to move about the battlefield, more of this ground up soil is created, giving more of this weapon to use. Once created, the user is able to manipulate this new dust-like substance in order to assault their opponent from various sides. This technique works once the opponent breathes in this dust, or allows it to get into their pores through extended contact, the user is able to activate the hidden properties of this technique. Once the user decides, they are is able to cause the dust to start spreading throughout the target's body and in doing so causes the opponent's body to become paralyzed as it is slowly petrified down to the cellular level. The pulse simulates evolution, forcing the affected plants to grow rapidly and fall under the user's complete control. This control can even extend to the Shikai of other Plant-Type Zanpakuto. With this technique, the user typically gathers several vines in order to whip away opponents and ensnare multiple opponents. The plants affected by this technique are able to both steal away the vitality from those caught in their grasps, while also feeding the user the vitality stored within the Earth itself. The plants affected by this technique gain enough durability to withstand breaking through concrete and even steel structures. Once someone has entered this field, the user is free to activate the true ability of Hanran. With this, they are capable of opening any and every wound the opponent has ever acquired, all at one time. These wounds do not just refer to the physical, but emotional and mental wounds as well, allowing the user to be capable of causing great mental duress to his target(s). While greener opponents will not feel the effects as much, more veteran foes will feel a more appropriate level of pain, capable of downing even the sturdiest of targets. Seisenren is capable of allowing the user to shift the terrain to suit their needs in battle. This change happens almost immediately and can be devastating to those who are unprepared for sudden change. The change in terrain itself could be viewed as an attack of sorts as those in its path could be caught in a unfavorable location such as landing in a lava pit or falling deep into a crevasse. This technique has the ability of allowing the user to store the power of the previous terrain into Shinokuni's blade. For instance, after changing from a lava ridden battlefield to a snow covered wasteland, by storing and condensing the heat of magma into his blade, the user is able to burn anything coming into contact with it.
