 THE GEMISCHT QUINCY APPLICATION Name: Alyx Ziegler Age: 18 Sex: Male Personality: Alyx is a nerd. He built his computer from scratch, even going so far as to solder the motherboard himself, and takes great pride in that accomplishment. He is constantly hooked into the internet, be it on his computer, his cellphone, any of his consoles, or his portable gaming device of choice for the day, Alyx will always have something that connects him online. While he's shy and introverted in person, online he does not feel the need to hide himself as vividly, and will be much more open and outgoing when talking with people online. His contact list is filled with people who share his interests, and he is very often found texting someone about something, though very few of them (but not none!) can see spirits like he can, and a few of them are aware of his powers, even though he's never met any of them in real life. When he is with people in real life, Alyx is not a very talkative person. He keeps to himself, shying away from group conversations, and even in one-on-one discussions he doesn't voice his opinions very often, keeping them (and most of everything else) bottled up inside. If there's something that needs to be said, Alyx has been seen actually pulling out his phone and texting a person, even if they're standing (or sitting) literally right next to him. Alyx does not like confrontation, and will attempt to assuade it through any means necessary, even backing down from almost any opinion of his just to keep the confrontation from occurring. While Alyx is a Quincy, the times when he needs to fight are often the times he hates the most. He has a natural proficiency with all of his Quincy abilities, even having a few unique ones, but he is absolutely a pacifist. While he will slay Hollows he can see, and keep them from hurting people, he does this through range and stealth, preferring to not even be seen by the Hollows he does kill; in the event he is seen, Alyx will make every attempt possible to hide his presence, and will almost never willingly fight someone who knows he's there, focusing instead on either self-preservation of running away, or on avoiding the fight alltogether. Alyx loves to explore with his hands and eyes, touching and exampining the world around him with cool rationalism and spirited curiosity. He is a natural maker, moving from project to project, building the useful and superfluoous for the fun of it, and learning as he go. He explores ideas through creating, troubleshooting, trial and error, and first-hand experience. While he enjoys having other people take an interest in his projects, he does mind when they get in his personal space, and while he is prone to sudden bursts of spontaneity, he is normally very reserved and quiet, though friendly and polite. His eyes are a shade of blue never before seen on Earth, so vivid that he looks like a newborn, despite being almost out of his teen years. His skin is extremely pale due to being an Introvert, but is free of any marks or blemishes, making him look younger than he actually is, by a good four or five years. He stands at 5'9", and weighs a natural 154lbs, giving him a BMI of 22.7. Atop his head, he always wears a pair of goggles, with a blue-ish black band and silver lenses that are one-direction mirrors, allowing him to see through them but reflecting things to other people on the outside. His left ear is pierced at the lobe with a single sapphire stud on white gold, while his right ear is pierced at the lobe with two sapphire studs on white gold, as well as a platinum loop at the crest of the ear, being the only body modifications he's made to date. Alyx's muscles are not very well-defined, looking almost fragile when not wearing his clothing, which consists of a dark purple tank top that's skin tight, with a unique hoodie that he made himself, giving him the appearance of having a bandaged midsection, wrapped from the waist all the way up to the top of his pectorals, stopping at the edge of his collarbone. Over this, he wears a short-sleeve vest with silver buttons on each side, sharing the same dark purple color as his tank top, with a black scarf over the top. The hoodie is very rarely actually used as a hoodie, hiding underneath the scarf. The vest has a long sleeve on the right arm, covering the entire length of it until it reaches his glove, while the left stops at normal short-sleeve length, revealing his pale skin again until his gloves hand, in a simple black cloth glove, more for protection from elements than anything else. Although it looks tattered and old, the vest is actually fairly new, and the weathered appearance was simply the style Alyx was going for. His waist is adorned with two belts, both of brown leather that form a cross pattern at the front and back, with each belt going above his waist on one side and below it on the other. The two belts are both riddled with small pouches and nicks in the leather, though on the left-side he also wears a medium-size bag to keep larger things in that wouldn't fit in his pocket, or just to make it easier on himself to find them. Below the belt, Alyx wears a pair of black denim jeans, which are also hand-crafted and feature his name on the inside seam, with the two pockets on the front being standard size, but a conspicuous lack of back pockets. The zipper is standard as well, though the button is gold, rather than bronze like normal jeans. The bottoms of the jeans flare out slightly to let Alyx wear his black skater shoes, which are solely fort he purpose of not having to tie them, so he can leave in a hurry. Overall, Alyx is not a very intimidating person, as his childish looks and very soft voice lead people to underestimate him quite often. While he carries himself as highly as he can, his personality leads him to be more shy than anything, and this translates very cleanly to his appearance, giving off the vibes of someone who is only fourteen or so, which also leads to people under-estimating him very highly, in every aspect of life. FIGHTING STYLE General Fighting Style: When Alyx is forced to fight, he is not unlike most other members of his race. He keeps as large a distance as he can between him and his opponents, utilizing his ranged abilities more than his melee ones, trying to wear down opponents as he maintains his own stamina. When he's backed into a corner, he can lash out and become more reckless, as he isn't very keen on planning ahead, trying to simply focus on the now than anything else. Strengths: Ranged Combat, Speed, Stamina Weaknesses: Melee Combat, Strength, Endurance, Intelligence, Planning Ahead, Reiatsu Sensing WEAPONS & ABILITIES Quincy Bow: Alyx's bow takes on a fractured appearance, looking like several pieces that broke and are only being held together through sheer force of will. Despite this, he uses the bow to extreme precision, holding it horizontally rather than vertically, the bow manifesting on the back of his hand making this easier for him. Quincy Powers: Hirenkyaku: Analogous to the Shinigami Flash Steps or the Arrancar Sonído, the Quincy Hirenkyaku allows the user to move quickly over short distances; according to Uryū Ishida it is faster than flash steps, though Mayuri Kurotsuchi's superior speed suggests that this is just a generalization. To perform the technique, the user gathers spiritual particles under their feet and rides them to the desired location. Like the air-walking skill displayed by most Arrancar and Shinigami, it can also be used to hover or fly for long distances. Mayuri compliments Uryū on being able to use this technique at such a young age, suggesting that it is difficult to master. Licht Regen - A quincy who has mastered this ability is capable of firing a giant wave of hundreds of quincy arrows at full power all at once. Where as normally a quincy can fire several dozen arrows quickly this ability exceeds that usual limit. This is able to be done once per two posts. Blut Vene: The defensive form of Blut, which grants the user inhuman durability, is represented by a faint pattern tracing the veins beneath the surface of their skin, which is only visible on the afflicted area when struck. If consciously kept at full power, even attacks delivered by a zanpakutou like item can potentially be negated completely. However, despite the considerable defense afforded by this technique, it seemingly is not absolute, and can be torn using sufficient power. ARCANE SHIFT Arcane Shift lets Alyx teleport 5ft in any direction, once every 4 posts. This technique is instantaneous, but the limited range allows only minor dodges or combination attacks. The 5ft that Alyx teleports is constant and exact; he cannot go less or more than 5ft at once. Quincy Items: Hollow bait — This item is a small, coin-shaped disk that attracts hollows when crushed. When used by Uryū, the bait, in combination with Ichigo's powerful spiritual pressure, was able to draw a Gillian-class Menos out of Hueco Mundo. Improved Senrai glove: A more powerful version of the Senrai glove, when a quincy gains and completes their training with this glove they gain Vollständig. Seele Schneider: The Seele Schneider is a thin sword that can be fired similarly to an arrow. It's much longer than a standard arrow and functions something like a chainsaw: the spirit particles of its blade vibrate at ultra-high frequencies, loosening the molecular bonds between any spirit matter it cuts so that the Quincy user may easily absorb the freed spirit particles. Uryū also stated that using it increased his spiritual power. The Seele Schneiders Uryū uses are stolen from a secret storage room under Karakura hospital. Silver tubes: Silver tubes are small liquid-filled capsules that store spiritual energy, and are used by Quincy for spellcasting in the same way that Shinigami use kidō. Like kidō, they are activated by calling out various commands.
Gritz (五架縛, gurittsu) — This technique forms a man-sized pentacle symbol which envelops its target. It is activated by the command "A silver rod strikes the five-fingered stone bed - Quintuple Restraining Frames!" This ability is on par with bakudo no 63. Wolke (緑杯, vorukōru; German for "cloud") — This technique uses a silver tube to create a large blast. While it may not be intended for use as such, Uryū uses it to cushion the impact of a fall. It is activated by the command "Tilt the goblet to the west - Emerald Grail!" This is equal in power to about two and a half bala's worth of concussive force. Sprenger (破芒陣, supurengeru; German for "explosion") — This technique uses five Seele Schneiders to create a pentagram-shaped seal, which when activated causes a massive explosion within its borders. The Seele Schneiders function as accumulators, gathering the necessary amount of spirit particles to create the explosion. The liquid inside a silver tube acts as the trigger. The preparations for the technique combined with the charging time for the Seele Schneiders make its use in battle impractical unless the user has a partner that can stall to buy time. The power of this technique is easily comparable to a hadou no 90 cast by shinigami. QUINCY FINAL FORM/LETZT STIL New Quincy Powers: [Retains All Previous Abilities] Charged Spirit Arrow: A quincy is capable of charging up a much more powerful arrow when they enter Letzt Stil. The charged arrow appears noticeably more solid than the standard bolts of Reishi. A charged arrow has enough power to severely injure a combatant of the same tier. This attack is activated, and is equal to an arrancar’s gran rey cero in power and has a 3 post cooldown. TRUE SHOT BARRAGE Alyx takes one post to charge and gather all the reishi he can, focusing the energy into his bow, which begins to glow red, as opposed to its' normal blue. After charging for one post, Alyx can hold this technique for up to 3 posts (though he cannot fire any other techniques during this), and Alyx can fire off a super charged Licht Regen, where each arrow is just as strong as normal, but the total number of arrows fired is multiplied by five. This technique can be used only after the one post charge, and has a five post cooldown before Alyx can charge it up again. Boosts: Speed x3 VOLLSTÄNDIG Vollständig Appearance: Upon ascending to Vollständig, Alyx is coated in armor made of solidified Reishi, and his goggles turn into a visor that covers the top of his face. His shoulderblades are covered in jets, giving him the ability to fly, similar to the normal wings a Vollständig would grant a Quincy. His left arm is coated in a giant cannon which is used like his bow, but he no longer needs to pull it back to use, the arrows simply firing out of the cannon like a laser. Vollständig Powers: [Retains All Previous Abilities] Flight: Vollständig users can use the Reishi wings generated by the technique for flight. They can activate Hirenyaku during flight to go fast like sonic the hedge hog. Spirit Weapon: With their Vollständig activated, a Quincy can produce a Spirit Weapon, made entirely of Reishi, from the gauntlet on their wrist. They can use this weapon for both melee attacks and to fire their quincy arrows in place of using their quincy bow to do it. Alyx's Spirit Weapon takes the form of a large cannon; check appearance. PULSEFIRE Every Arrow that Alyx fires in Vollständig is super charged, having the length and width multiplied by five and becoming almost like a laser, with the damage each arrow inflicts multiplied by three. BLUTRÜSTUNG While in his Vollständig, Alyx is covered in an armor that acts identical to Blut Vene at all times, but only 50% as strong.
