Riku was pleased to see that his brother had made it to round two as well. Luckily they didn't have to fight each other yet. Both of them did get each other back to neutral, and ready to give it their all in the next round. Next was Bardo. The two were lined in position like the rest of the matches. Unlike last time, he wasn't going to make the first move here. He was going to be more patient. He didn't like beating Lucia, and he'd make sure to cook her something special. But he didn't know this guy that well. When the match started, he just waited and watched, to see what his opponent will do.

It would be time for the second round of the sports festival and bardo would have already finished his stretching and would have been standing in the ring across from his opponent already looking him in his eyes from a distance he would do a similar plan as last time and simply allow his tendrils to go under the arena unseen as he would begin a little dialogue before anything interesting would happen. As such he would have made sure they would have been unseen as he would push them through the ground through his heels so as to not even really show the cracking of the arena floor.

"So I guess you are going to be my next opponent if you wouldn't mind giving me your name before we start I don't like being in the ring with people that can't even give me that much."

He would have been loose in a very relaxed stance nothing that would indicate any movements as of yet but those who make the first moves are those who usually get the best results. Thus if the man would choose to answer him he would find himself in a similar situation to his last opponent and Bardo would be interested to see how it would play out this time.

Riku rose an eyebrow, and started to slowly approach his opponent. "Riku Tomoshibi. Care to do the same?" It would only be proper. Still...something was up. He wasn't like Lucia, that's for sure. Stopping about twenty feet away, he coated the ground with a thin layer of ice. Only for it to seemingly crack at the guy's feet. "Oh? Very sneaky..." He froze the ground solid underneath them for a full ten feet. That should put a stop to whatever the guy had planned. Making three ice pillars around the guy, but leaving him with 10 feet to move, Riku surged electricity between the pillars, and blasted at him with three streams of electricity. Hopefully showing off his control, seeing as technically, the entire arena was now conductible….

Bardo would have let out a slight sigh it would seem that the boy in front of him would have been no different from the woman he last fought, though he actually attempted to use his quirk with him actually giving Bardo time to talk and while he did so his tendrils would have already been in motion it was his own movements and attempt to respond which would have caused the next actions to transpire.

As he would have finished his sentence it would have been enough time to get toward the young boy on the other side of the ring but considering he actually walked closer and stopped within twenty five meters of the man it would have given the tendrils ampule time to get to the boy before he would have started to freeze the ring thus as he would have stopped to use his quirk the tendrils would have already pierced through the ground and would have pierced through his chest one on the left side and the other on the right side from behind the man. They would have popped out of the ground about three feet from behind the target giving him very little time to react and considering it seemed he was focused on what would seem to be freezing the ring the young man probably wouldn't have had time to react at all.

Thus as his attack would have pierced the boy's chest, so Bardo would have given him his wish and would introduce himself. "My name is Bardo though I doubt it matters now..." He would have let out a sign and would wait to see what the response would be either it would be the judges calling the contest to a close or it would be his opponent finding a way out of the predicament he found himself within.

Except what the vines hit was ice. Riku's control was incredible, and was able to switch up how to manipulate his ice on the fly. Particularly if it was close. He'd cocooned himself in ice exactly as he first noticed the vines. Then froze the vines if they were still close or underground, and continued to freeze the ground ten feet deep. Breaking the ice with some difficulty, and walking out, he spoke up after the guy spoke. "You know, you should go for something far less likely to be lethal...that's very villain like, stabbing in the chest from both front and back." His normally bright blue eyes were now much darker. It was a sneaky move...and if he was any closer, it might have succeeded. He almost had to flash freeze the area around him...a one off technique.

But that was then. And now he knew the extent this guy was going to go...he couldn't let him continue. A wall of ice surged forward, either to capture or push him out of bounds. He was going for his maximum size, that of a warehouse that would consume the entire half field in front of him. Riku was pissed.

Bardo would have been quite shocked with the level of control this boy had over his quirk, it must have been nice. However, he had no time to be in awe of the control of the opponent in front of him and he would have begun his next actions as he saw the boy over himself in ice shooting himself upward from a blast of his darkness trying to get away from the slippery and rather dangerous ground below him. However, as he would do such the boy would have spoken a few words and started creating a giant glacier heading toward him. It would have been a rather close call as it would have still nicked his feet killing his balance and he would have to make a rather dangerous move to see if he could proceed into the third round.

Thus when he would have released something similar to a shock wave of darkness that would have propelled him upwards he would have seconds after tried to get the darkness that was still within reach of the boy to burst from the ice and come forth with all the force and speed they would have this time as two fists attempting to simply knock him out. If this wouldn't have worked it was looking rather difficult for Bardo to find anything else to do it wasn't like he could fly so this was going to most likely be what they called the curtain call on this act of the sports festival for either of them.

The guy used his quirk to jump over it, but was just short and got nicked, ruining his trajectory. Frost coated some spots of his clothes and skin, and his toes were numb. Using that wall takes a lot out of him...but it made Bardo vulnerable to his other half...which he hadn't even used yet. But instinct took over. Creating an ice bokken, he turned around to swat the first dark fist out of the air, only to get the ice construct snapped and redirected it towards his gut instead of his neck. His other arm blocked the second one, but it still pushed him back. His initial thoughts of it being a plant based quirk was wrong...it was much more freeform. While the attack knocked the wind out of him, he still circulated his electricity into the ice covered ground, calculating the man's current trajectory. And made it arch up into the guy, hopefully not just shocking him, but pushing him out of bounds. This fight was going to end very soon.

As a last ditch effort Bardo would have decided that he should at least show off the other side of his quirk, therefore, as he would have seen the first fist make contact and the other one get blocked it looked like the boy would have been winded and he would have took this moment to let the darkness disperse and use the other side of his quirk. With that he would have launched a rapid three balls of light all traveling as fast as they could possible go toward the boy one aiming for the head another aiming for his back and the last one aimed at his chest. Though he wouldn't be aiming for a lethal blow just to knock him unconscious. However, as he would have done such it would seem the other boy had a very similar thought of using his secondary quirk as well interestingly enough and Bardo would have felt a surge of electricty shoot through his body knocking him toward the out of bound area and his only hope would be trying to form a Bastard sword that would be able to pierce through the ice to stop his fall. However, he wouldn't be able to hang their long only enough strength left after using both his qurik to last long enough to hear the annoucement of if his attacks were successful and if not he would simply let his grasp slip falling out of the ring and aceepting defeat.

Riku spotted the lights. And knew at least one of them was going to go for his head. The boy lessened the blow with ice, but took the other two to the back and chest. His vision swam a bit, but otherwise, he was still standing. And sent another stream of electricity to shock Bardo over the line. And it succeeded. Bowing respectfully, he left the field. He didn't like the guy. And hopefully he'd learn the error of his ways before they graduated, but he was still going to show some respect. Nonetheless, this was a bit of a bitter sweet victory. He'd need his brother to straighten out his body temperature.
