Bogota. It was a new place. Unfamiliar to her and probably her brother, but she couldn't tell for sure. At least, she knew that she didn't know anything of it, except for what she had seen recently. It was in a jungle area, hot and humid. She couldn't necessarily complain about the weather though, considering it didn't bother her. If anything, the weather seemed, at most, slightly warmer than the Gotei making her slightly more comfortable.

Bogota. Why was she in this place? Well, her father had asked her to. That was that. He wanted her to join him and stay in Bogota. She was finally allowed to leave the Gotei after such a long time. She was able to stay with her father again, which was an opportunity she couldn't pass up. Most of all, her brother was here. Her younger brother. She couldn't leave him behind and she couldn't let him go alone. He came to her in the Gotei near the end of her time there. He was all she had for a while and it made for a happier experience. It was refreshing having him around, not feeling as if she was outcast, and not worrying about if her family really loved her. It wasn't something she was bound to admit, though. Kat wasn't a feelsy girl. However, she did come up with the only idea she could aquire for a family bonding time.

She had found Seiji first, of course, and dragged him out of whatever room she had found him in. Immediately, she was make a simple path for wherever it was her father was. He had to he close. She knew he was. It was hard to miss a presence like his, even if her sensing ability wasn't the best. Finally, she would find him and she wouldn't hesitate to approach him. What was she doing? She certainly hadn't told Seiji and she wasn't sure he was even aware of what was happening. "Hey!" she would yell to get his attention as she closed in on him with Seiji being drug behind. "You might not realize how strong we are, but we're here to show you! Fight us! We'll win!" Kat would say loudly with a stern face. Obviously, her claims were way over her head, but she needed him to know. She wanted to show him how strong she was and how hard she worked for it. Of course, she couldn't just tell him that like a normal person. She just had to show him. She was stronger. If she was stronger, he wouldn't leave again right? Then again, what if she wasn't strong enough? No. She had to be.

"So... I'm gonna guess we're in Bogota? I get you wanna visit Dad but why'd you drag me along? I was like, super busy..." Seiji muttered aloud his thoughts as his mind flashed back to what had transpired to put him in this inconvenient predicament.

Seiji had been hard at work filling out and approving paperwork for the Squad (actually, he'd been sleeping) when his dear older sister timidly opened the door and politely inquired if Seiji would like to go for a stroll with her (more like she wordlessly barged into his room, stormed over to his sleeping form, grabbed his arm and dragged him along with her by force.) He then graciously accepted (deep sleeper he was, Seiji only woke up when he felt dirt dragging along underneath him.)

"...And that's what happened," said Seiji to nobody in particular while crossing his arms and nodding his head in affirmation. Just like his previous visit, the jungles of Bogota were hot, muggy, and undulating with the sound of starved mosquitoes. Seiji lost count of how many he'd had to flash-freeze at this point, however; the constant vigilance was a good distraction from the apprehension welling up from within. The last time he'd been here his father had made it quite clear he didn't want Seiji around and the young shinigami doubted that had changed on such short notice. So why had his sister dragged him, quite literally, along?

Ika was approached by both of his little brats, and they seemed vaguely intent on showing that they were capable of defeating him in a trial based on combat. It wasn't likely, in fact it was almost impossible but he figured he'd give them the satisfaction of a good old scholarly try. Ika smirked, giving both of his kids a once-over as he removed the previously lit cigarette from his mouth. "I guess you're on Kat, Seiji.. But I won't be going easy on you." Ika winked at his children and cracked his neck. He donned his mask in an instant, and took a very lazy stance before motioning for them both to approach him. In truth, there was no amount of drug abuse that could make him believe the two of them, even combined, had a shot at beating him in this fight. They had absolutely zero chance, but he didn't want to disrespect their abilities either.

So Ika's decision was simple. He would fight them and show them how wrong they truly were, and avoid having to do this ever again. He waited for them to make their attack, lazily tossing his cigarette to the ground while trying to figure out what exactly their plan would be to start out.

She would listen to her brother complaining the whole way to her father's presence and she had half a mind to hit him a few times. However, Kat decided that it wasn't worth it and in the end, he'd be no good to her in pain. So, she would ignore his idiotic banter and his side comments to who knows what. Her eyes were set on the prize. Winning. She was set on winning. Of course, she knew her father wouldn't be able to resist a fight with his children. He was always one to show off how powerful he was and he certainly wouldn't care who his opponents were.

She was terribly correct, although she didn't quite expect him to start out with his mask on. Emerald eyes would stay glued to his mask as she would NOW question whether this was a good idea. Nonetheless, Kat couldn't turn back now, but she couldn't be the one to start out. Could she? Perhaps, she could distract him with a fireball or two, while Seiji did his thing. Game plan!

That's just what she would do. Ascending to shikai, Kat would form a large ten by ten ball of fire and launch it directly at Ika hoping that Seiji was smart enough to follow up with something. It wasn't perfect, but it was a start. They had to learn how to effectively battle together eventually anyway.

As he drew his Zanpakuto and shifted to stand beside his sister Seiji began to speak, "I hope you have a game pl-" and was summarily interrupted as his sister just... launched a massive fireball at their father. Seiji blinked in surprise before muttering, "Alright then... Bring about the endless cold, Reikokuna Ginko!" Seiji opted to jump straight into his Bankai. Dirty or not, he didn't care. If he had to fight dirty to win then so be it, not like the jump in power would do much to close the valley of strength between him, his sister, and his father. Ika was crafty, and had made sure to beat into Seiji's body an important lesson: be on high alert for anything and everything. Well, that wasn't the only thing he'd learned but that wasn't important right now. Seiji's body was enveloped in skintight metal armor and he formed an inch-thick layer of liquid nitrogen over that, giving him plenty of defense... But was it enough?

"Doubtful, but...!" Seiji made 3 slicing motions while firing off globes of liquid nitrogen, each about the size of a softball forward, behind them, and above at Bala speeds. Though probably a bad idea, Seiji would focus on defense for now. No point in him and Kat clashing to try and earn glory.

So Kat launched a giant fireball at Ika, presumably as a distraction in the hopes of allowing for Seiji to come in and do something interesting and perhaps, if all the planets aligned perhaps he would even do something useful and effective! Ika had his doubts, and as such he Shunpo'd out of the way of the double's attack. The better strategy would've been tying Ika up in close quarters before surprising him with an attack from a distance, but it was clear to him that they weren't thinking in these terms quite yet. A small smirk parted Ika's lips as he launched a ball of acid high into the atmosphere, and his eyes danced between his two children as he noticed their minds moving at one hundred miles an hour to try and figure out just what they could do in order to create an opening.

Ika wasn't the type to give them that kind of time, he quickly Shunpo'd over to Kat and launched a straight punch at her stomach before following that up with a right hook aimed at her jaw, hoping to crumble her all at once. The point of this was only half to injure Kat though, it was more to lure Seiji out of hiding. Had he come rushing in as Ika expected, Ika's arm would outstretch at Shunpo speeds, catching him by the throat while his hand clinched firmly around it. "Neither of you two are ready for this kind of fight, quit now."

Kat would watch as her whole idea went up in her own flames. "Well, that was a bad idea," she would mumble to herself all while keeping her emerald eyes locked on her father. At this point, she wasn't quite sure where Seiji had ended up and she was beginning to think he wasn't as interested in this as she. Anyway, there were more pressing matters to worry about like the ball of bubbling acid that was just tossed up into the atmosphere. Well, that was just great. Did he actually plan on using that on them? She really hoped not because that was bound to hurt like all hell.

Before she knew it, Ika was standing right in front of her and she knew she had waited to long. Her eyes would widen just before a fist would connect with her stomach causing her to curl over in pain. However, she wouldn't catch a break as a punch would land on her jaw not hard enough to break it thankfully. She didn't have the sort of fancy regeneration everyone else seemed to have. She couldn't just put it back in place and let it heal like a freak. Anyway, Kat was now laying on the ground having fallen onto her side. Catching her breath, she would sit up rubbing the throbbing side of her face. "Damn. Thanks for not breaking my bones, at least." She would mumble to herself once again before looking up to see Seiji had been captured.

Kat had now been prompted to jump up as she stared her father down. They had just started and he already believed they weren't good enough? She wouldn't accept that. As of now, her brother was feasibly in danger and she growing more angry by the minute. So, she would release a dozen fireballs in her father's direction sending them all the strike him from head to toe.
