The sky was clear and the moon was full as a crackle echoed out through the streets of Paris. At the tip of the Eiffel Tower a small black line bloomed out to cover the full moon. A man stepped through the Garganta as it closed behind him. He landed softly on the antenna of the Eiffel Tower looking down on la Ville des Lumières (The City Of Lights) that would soon be nothing but a dark void. Gray streams of Reiryoku began to pour from the man and tumble down the metal of the Eiffel Tower spilling into the streets surrounding all the unsuspecting humans.

The man tapped his foot slightly and the entire structure beneath him began to sway in the wind as it heated up, slowly beginning to soften as it titled to one side. The humans at the top of the Eiffel Tower were set ablaze and their screams filled the air setting off a chain reaction below resulting in a massive panic. As the people scattered the temperature of the superheated material continued to rise until it began to shake violently causing a small localized earthquake. Additional buildings began to act in the same way as liquid pieces of the Eiffel Tower began to fly as if controlled by an unseen force around the immediate area.

"Au Revoir, Paris."

As these words left the man's lips the entirety of the superheated Eiffel Tower and affected buildings spontaneously converted to energy resulting in a massive explosion who's light lit up all of Europe as if it were daytime for a brief moment. As the light subsided and the smoke cleared the man could be seen floating, inverted, in the sky looking down into a massive crater where Paris once stood.

It would be mere moments after the attack went off and the light began to fade that a Senkaimon would open, setting lose she who would bring this man to justice.

Kido Commander Stevonnie had arrived in Paris. Well... what was left of Paris. She gazed horrified out at the sheer destruction caused. "So many..." Men, women, children, pets, wildlife... none of it was spared this lone figure's power. Stevonnie's name leveled onto him, her eyes hot with righteous anger. "What you have done here is completely unforgivable." Drawing her blade, Stevonnie wordlessly enters her Shikai, her katana changing shape to become a large pink saber. "You are going to be brought to the Soul Society, where you will meet the punishment handed down to you." Just the thought of how many innocents this man just ended wanted her to bring justice onto him here and now, to be the judge, jury and executioner. If she did that though, she would be no better. Her power spikes, no longer being restrained since there were sadly no humans nearby that would be negatively impacted by her Spiritual Pressure. She remains in the air, standing on a reishi platform. "Identify yourself here or not, it matters little. Know that whether it is willing or forced, you are being brought in for this crime against everything living by Commander Stevonnie." Her attention was fully on this person, and she would stop her relatively short statement should he try attacking somewhere in the middle of it. She somewhat expected it out of someone this ruthless.

Wayland spun himself upright in midair as a Shinigami confronted him and proceeded to act holier than thou. It was interesting she was preaching to him about forgiveness. Even if it was something Wayland was seeking, what devine power would have granted her the right to forgive -- it was disappointing in a way. This woman was really the archetype Shinigami on moral steroids. As she finished talking and her Reiatsu rose Wayland smirked in preface to his response.

"Your Reiatsu isn't too bad and you're quite easy on the eyes. I can tell you're a tad upset about that city. Isn't there some way we can work this out. Just the two of us?"

Wayland was really laying on the charisma during his last sentence. He was fairly confident such a blindly devout individual wouldn't have the openness of mind to do anything other than righteously apprehend him but he figured it was worth a shot anyway. It would give him some light entertainment at the very least.

"I'm really hoping we can be honorable here and not resort to violence. Maybe you could help me find my way back to the right path?"

A cold blooded killer with a silver tongue to boot. His words would not have their intended effect, for each sentence only served to make her blood boil. Her eyes narrowed dangerously as she spoke back. "Only you being brought before the Gotei to be judged will satisfy things, and we both know you won't go there willingly. You lost any right to talk your way out of things the moment you murdered all these thousands of people." It was almost like this man had no idea what he had done, that he was doing this solely for shits and giggles, and that this was perfectly okay. It pissed her off to no end how little respect he had for life.

She raises a hand to the sky. "Sajō Sabaku!" The bright chains descend down to wrap around the man. If he was serious about things not getting violent, then this was it. Let himself be bound here so he could be brought back proper and, possibly, try and avoid execution.

Should he resist, as she expects of him, she would have another Kido at the ready. One of her own creation. "Hanabira no Arashi!" This creates a large cloud of rose petals which swirl around for a time, keeping her out of sight. She moves around within the cloud, readying a chant for Kido 88 under her breath. On her sword forms multiple spikes across both flat sides of her blade. She was fully driven to see this fight through. Question is, was her opponent ready to fully committed to see through the result of their heinous acts?

Abilities Used:

Wayland sighed as the Shinigami acted just as predicted. He quickly snatched Crucible from its leather strap and held it in his right hand. Just as his advisary's first attack was about to connect with him he Sonido'd off to the left to avoid the attack. He watched the woman activate her second technique to obscure herself from Wayland. Sliding his hand in his pocket he thought it only proper to give such a beautiful woman fair warning.

"This isn't going to play out how you think it is milady."

Wayland launched Crucible downwards into the darkness of the crater that was once Paris as the rose petals danced in the air. A powerful shockwave rolled upward from the point of contact where Crucible had landed. The crater suddenly lit up brightly as heat began to billow upwards around the duelists. In an instant streams of Reiryoku started flowing upwards, out of the light below, into Wayland. His Shinigami opponent was strong and capable evidenced by her tempered Reiatsu. However, she was making the mistake that so many before her had. She wasn't battling Wayland. She was battling time and herself and hadn't realized it. After Wayland had absorbed a Cero's worth of Reiryoku the streams faded away as Crucible flew back up into its owner's hand and the crater went dark once more.

"I suppose you won't believe me. So, come and see for yourself. I'll even give you a chance to change your mind."

Abilities:

She had tracked the male's movement through his Spiritual Pressure. She was done talking to this individual, it would not advance things further. And if what she was feeling was right, then this arrancar was regaining energy. Time spent talking would probably be used to power up. Was he still drained from what he did to the city? If so she could take that as an advantage so long as she didn't give him time to absorb more. She would need to go more on the offensive, and be careful about it. She still didn't know this arrancar's capabilities.

So she uses Shunpo. She uses the high speed technique to close the distance between them and swing her blade. Ten thorns off of the blade shoot off, attempting to put bullet-sized holes into him. She follows up with the Kido she had been preparing this entire time. "Hiryū Gekizoku Shinten Raihō!" The massive energy surges forth, aimed at wherever the male had possibly moved to, if he had moved at this point. She lets the attack roar by before closing in a second time, swinging her blade once more and casting Fushibi, the unstable net attempting to cover him. She swings her blade to release the other ten thorns on her blade, the thorns causing the sensitive energy of the net to purposely explode in a bright display of destruction.

Abilities Used:

The woman's action made it painfully obvious she was still unaware of the situation she had put herself in -- woefully oblivious as to what she was up against. Against a typical opponent the outcome would likely be different, given her tactical movements combined with impressive speed and power, however, against Wayland this would ultimately be insufficient.

As the volley of thorns following the Shinigami's Shunpo propelled towards Wayland he reacted quickly by firing off 10 Bala with just enough strength to kill the projectiles' momentums but his opponent was relentless. She quickly followed up her initial assault with a Kido that wasn't to be taken lightly. In response, Wayland swung Crucible by its chain overhead with blazing speed. The chain tensed upon reaching its maximum length yanking Wayland in an aerial fashion above the incoming attack. During the travel time Wayland had nicked his index finger with his thumbnail allowing a small amount of his blood to mix together with his Reiryoku. The mixture produced a Gran Rey Cero that he fired downward at a shallow angle into the passing Hado. The shallow angle of Wayland's counter didn't cancel out its target rather, it deflected the attack downward toward the crater along with Gran Rey Cero itself. The resulting explosion of the two techniques colliding with the earth below launched large quantities of debris into the air to the height of Wayland and his opponent.

As the first pieces of boulder sized debris reached their apex near Wayland, the Shinigami's combo continued by attempting to snare him once again with some sort of Kido based net. Using the debris to his advantage, Wayland swung Crucible with a single hand into a chunk of earth, launching it into the incoming net where the second wave of thorns struck leading to an explosion that temporarily separated the two. During this time Wayland struck several additional fragments of earth with Crucible using his Smelting to convert them into raw Reiryoku that he then absorbed. As the light from the explosion faded Wayland was once again made visible to the Shinigami. In his left hand, above his head, Wayland was holding a piece of rock twice his size.

"How fitting an elegant rose such as yourself would have thorns. You're blossoming quite wonderfully but eventually you will wilt."

As Wayland finished his sentence he lightly tossed the rock upward allowing the center of it to fall just below his shoulders as he cocked Crucible back with both hands like a baseball bat with a twisting motion. As he began to bring Crucible forward to strike the boulder, he charged a Bala equivalent to a Hado 30 onto the head of the hammer. When Crucible made contact with its target, Wayland released the Bala. The force of the Bala, along with the kinetic energy of Wayland's swing, caused the large chunk of earth to shatter into thousands of tiny shards that flew towards the Shinigami with the speed of a Bala. Additionally, the Bala itself led the pack of projectiles aimed square at the Shinigami's chest. Over the course of this entire exchange Wayland had used essentially none of his own Reiryoku and instead allowed his own environment to serve as his battery.

Well, this entire time he had found some way to properly evade or redirect all of the attacks sent their way. It was slightly worrying, all things considered, but Stevonnie was far from done. When Weyland was visible again he was holding a massive boulder. He gone on to basically say that she had been fighting well, but eventually she would fail. Her eyes narrow at his underhanded compliment and she raises a hand as he lets off his attack. "Bakudo thirty seven, Tsuriboshi." The elastic bakudo spreads out, sticking to reishi platforms and catching the rock projectiles and the Bala, if only for a moment. The Bala punches through, only having been delayed, but the rocks are sent back at about half the speed towards Weyland. She moves to the side, the Bala passing right on by. The kido disperses after this, it's usefulness over.

She needed to end this quick, and nothing short of more power was going to cut it. "Bankai." Her Spirit Energy and Pressure skyrockets as is usual with such a powerful release. Normally she would have to get clearance to properly release like this in the Human World, but there wasn't anything around her energy could prove harmful to. Her sword takes to a new form, as does her attire, and within a 100 foot radius around them along the ground sprouts 20 rose bushes comprised of her Spirit Energy. If he was going to try absorbing them, he wouldn't be able to do so nearly as quick as he did with the natural environment. "Bara no Heiya. You talk too much during a fight." She disappears from sight with a speed one probably wouldn't have expected from her entering Bankai, it just wouldn't have scaled properly. It wasn't a huge difference, but that wouldn't matter if it was unexpected. She had closed the distance between them, and was right up front to him with her sword swinging out horizontally. If he was observant he could see that three of her rose bushes were breaking apart with the swing, forming temporary blades that mirror her swing however from different angles around him, meaning he had to go either up or down.

With that she follows up by firing off a good 5 Byakurai. "Hado number four, Byakurai!" She strengthens them after firing, speeding them up and hoping to catch him off guard with the switched tactic. A new rose bush sprouts within the 100 foot radius.

Abilities Used:

Wayland watched as the Shinigami elegantly countered his attack with a properly placed Bakudo. Wayland lazily dodged the reflected projectiles letting a few graze his skin. His Hierro negated most of the damage and only a few small cuts could be seen on his face that his high-speed regeneration quickly took care of. As his opponent's Reiatsu became elevated Wayland realized what was coming next. The feeling was unmistakable: Bankai. Wayland was elated. After all, it wouldn't be nearly as enjoyable to break her if she didn't have any fight in her.

The Shinigami quickly made her move quickly. The speed of her movements was unsual even for a Bankai. Luckily, Wayland's Pesquisa was excellent allowing him to track the unexpectedly fast woman. Still, she surprised Wayland further with her augmented blade attack. Blades closed all around Wayland and it was clear the woman was trying to force him to move upward or downward to evade however, there was a third option, through her. On instinct, Wayland dropped his weight forward rolling underneath his opponent's legs. He then quickly flew downward towards the crater as he looked back up at barrage of lighting based Hados heading his way. Wayland turned to counter with several Bala but only managed to stop three of the five. The remaining two attacks collided with Wayland as he crashed into the ground resulting in a cloud of dust spreading out over the crater.

Suddenly, an ominous red glow permeated the vapor of dust as wave of Reiatsu rolled outward covering the area and cracking the earth. Streams of Reiryoku began arcing through the air to a central point clearing the atmosphere of any particulate matter. Wayland stood proudly at the convergence of the Reiryoku streams in his Resurreciton. His left arm that was mutilated by the Hado rapidly regenerated to pristine condition as he lifted Crucible from the ground which was now a two handed war hammer that was Wayland's height. Wayland's gaze fell upon the Shinigami as he smiled.

"Why are you so concerned about me talking? Worried it might distract you too much? You know it's a bit rude not to talk to someone you're dancing with"

After his last syllable Wayland brought Crucible over his head and slammed it into the sloped ground of the crater. A large crack raced outward from the collision point but more was to come. From the crack multiple copies of Crucible made of raw earth floated upward. The number of replicas was easily in the hundreds before they all launched in a swarm towards the Shinigami. Although, they weren't Zanpaktou each one would still strike with considerable kinetic force and being continually bombarded by them wouldn't be in the woman's best interest. How would his target fair now that the very environment in which their battle was taking place had turned against her?

Abilities:

While she would have loved for one of her Byakurai to have broken the man's jaw, she took what she could get. Not that it would have helped with how much he healed back up. Seeing him healed, he let the man talk a bit more while she brought on some - you guessed it - more Kido. "Regalia of nature, drape your color onto me. Arm me for battle and shield your child from harm. Bakudo number seventy, Bara no Hogo." A glow covered her form as the incantation was spoken and when finalized, solidified into a stable suit of scale armor. Just in time to see hundreds of copies of the male's hammer rise from the now large crack in the earth's surface. She brings her soul pager to her ear. "I might need an evac soon... this is a much tougher problem than we expected." She slips it back to one of her pockets.

How would she manage? Against all this that was thrown at her? With a well-executed strategy. Tsuriboshi Is used once more, covering one side while she faces the other. The stretchy barrier would do just fine with the hammers from behind. With an entire 180 degrees blocked she had a lot more manageable time blocking the hammers. Her blade easily swipes the hammers away, such large projectiles with her speed they were easy targets. It was time to set this up for her favor. She uses a stealthy mix of Sekienton and Kyokko to hide herself from view. She reins in her Spirit Pressure to try and draw him in, because as things were now he would have a hard time trying to find where she was inside the large cloud of smoke with no color of her cloths to point her out.
