It feels strange how close all these cities are. Still, it didn't matter much. After all, it just made it so much easier to travel between them. By now, Hotaru had run almost completely out of money. 250 yen sat in his wallet. It was a good thing he wasn't hungry too, or else that money could have gone faster. There was a strange disturbance in the air though- something dark.
This time, Hotaru used his substitute shinigami badge, leaving his body hidden behind a box in an alley. Hopefully, no homeless people would piss, shit, or do anything else with it. Quickly, he ran throughout the city, until finding a large group of hollows just trying to cannibalize each other. This could be bad for Hotaru. It would mean that in any time soon, it could become a menos grande. Acting fast, Hotaru drew his zanpakuto. Its silver blade shined as sunlight reflected off it, revealing a fine groove near its center which ran down from the curved tip into the collar of the sword. The tsuba was a gold ring, decorated with a tear drop motif.
"Drip, Namidasuke", Hotaru proclaimed. A light emitted from the sword's collar, covering the blade well. The light subsides to reveal the blade in a more semi-solid form, which ran almost like a torrent of water, drooping like a daisy at the tip. "Splash, Namidasuke", Hotaru said, slamming the liquid blade into the ground. A rush of quick silver came over the group of hollow, washing over them like a giant wave of mercury. They were slain.
