Hueco Mundo, a desolate and secluded realm where the light of the sun shall never shine. The skies blackened, illuminated by a crescent moon the shines down onto the delicate white sand dunes; faint reflections being cast onto the ground by the scrawny trees scattered across the land. It’s silent aside from the cries off in the distance…cries of hunger and despair. This realm of anguish a perfect breeding ground for the vilest of thing, no world for a human but, there Khole stood.
The tall young lady stood motionless, a blank expression across her face as she stares off into the distance. Her Fulvous skin so dull, almost pale in the light of Hueco, her Carolina blue eyes looking so lifeless in this dismal place; she simply stood there. Her black top flapped some as a breeze brushed passed her, what a funny though…a breeze in such a place. Her lips part some as if she was going to say something but nothing would come out.
“…How did I get here?” she thought to herself as she shifted her gaze around, looking for a sign of any sorts. “What is this place…”
A low growl rolls passed her ears.
“Hueco….” A voice whispers.
She shutters as she slowly turns her head to the left, she sees nothing in her peripheral vision. “Hueco..?”
“HUMAN!!” the voice screeches and zips past her. A small gust knocks Khole forward and she stumbles, she shuts her eyes and tenses her body up.
“This isn’t real!” She yells. “YOU AREN’T REAL!”
“Oh….?”
The ground trembles before a fissure opens up, the white sands begin to sink in the newly formed hole; Khole stumbles back not knowing what to do. “THIS ISN’T REAL” she screams once more. In an instant the surrounding area seemed to be ripped away, everything goes black…
“This isn’t real….”
Khole’s eyes snap open, fixing on the ceiling fan above her bed; slowly rotating and making an odd low vibration noise. She sits up, her face covered in sweat as she sighs some. “Fuck…”
She looks over to her clock, an odd looking thing. It was a purple shark with a clock in its mouth nearly crushed, but done so in a way that the time could be read; she sighs as she knocks it off the nightstand. “Useless piece of crap!” she grumbles as she kicks the covers off of her, exposing her lower half. As she plants her bare feet onto the ground she stares at her toes, they looked as if a child had painted them; she grumbles again. She slowly begins to rise up from her bed, weary and quite irritated, her messy Tufts Blue hair lying over her eyes restricting her vision. “Goddamn hair…”
“Mhm, mhm, mhm. Golly, your ass looks better every morning.” The voice of a man cackles from behind her.
Khole grumbles some as she ignores the male, reaching into her night stand and pulling out a pair of neon green boy looking underwear. Tossing them over her shoulder she begins to make her way to the bathroom, her day was already starting out rough.
“Oh c’mon baby, you ain’t gonna ignore me, are ya?” the male voice coos to her. “I thought we’re at a point in this relationship where you could accept, you got a nice ass.”
She continues on to the bathroom ignoring the male, her mind wandered back to the dream she was having before waking up. “Hueco…” she mumbles as she slinks into the bathroom. “What’s Hueco..?” She had no clue what Hueco was, she never heard of such a place before; this question would probably eat at her for the rest of the day. Khole rolls her head on her shoulders hoping her neck would crack some; she was a wild sleeper and always woke up with the stiffest neck.
“Oi…”
She stands in front of the mirror and looks at herself, her hair was a mess and she had dry drool crusted on her left cheek. She pulls on the mirror exposing the medicine cabinet; its content consisted of a few random pill bottles on the upper most shelf, a leg razors on the middle shelf, 2 toothbrushes and some generic cough syrup on the bottom shelf. She grabs two pill bottoms one of the tooth brushes then closes the mirror door as she sets the items down. Turning on the cold water she takes a paper cup from a small wall dispenser near the mirror and fills it up, her eyes scanning over the prescription information on the pill bottles:
“Take one capsule by mouth three times daily for ten days until all taken.”
Khole grumbles as she pops both bottles open, dumping two pills from each bottle into her palm. “Because I’m so stupid I don’t know these go in my m---“ she stops mid-sentence and sighs as she puts her hand up to her mouth, dumping the pills onto her tongue. She uses her tongue to move them to her molars and crush them, the strong inky taste hitting her like a fist to the face; A look of disgust crosses her face as she washes the crushed mess down.
This was her daily routine, she hated it…no she loathed it, but it kept her sane for the most part.
