Today when I logged in I got a message from a person saying that she created an account on this site a few days ago, and was waiting for her account to be activated. I was like WTF?! I mean for the 3-4 years, we always had an automatic activation oned on this site.

So I go to the user interface and what I see stuns me. Someone had chosen the option that the admin should be the one that actives the new accounts that register to this site. Which totally overrides the option of the automatic registration.

Also what strucked me the most was that there was fucking number of 18 new users waiting to be fucking activated!!! Fucking 18!!! I mean here I was wondering why haven't any new members registered onto this site lately....only to find out that some fucktard had overridden the automatic activation option.

It fucking pissed me off, yo. I mean if it wasn't for that person who contacted me, we would have never known...

Anyway who ever did this dick move, please show yourself. Either someone is guilty, or we were hacked. Though I doubt that.

I don't have access to Admin panel, and only ones who do, are the founder and two administrators, unless we were indeed hacked. I highly doubt it though; if someone wanted to hurt the site, and had access to admin panel, why didn't they just delete the whole thing? I don't think disabling automatic activation is a vengeful move, but seems more like a simple mistake of an admin. I wouldn't blame Cubo/Mushami for this, if that was you were implying Luke - if he had access to admin panel / hacked moderating rights, he would have taken his stuff off the site, but it's still there. And he wouldn't seek vengeance via this specific method. He has other things in his arsenal. Maybe Luke or Manda accidentally deactivated it, I don't know. Luke's not very knowledgeable with the administration panel, right. We shouldn't overthink this if it's just an accident.

There also should be this section, where you can see changes in your admin panel and presumably who did them. I am not sure how it works, because I've never used it, but you could try?

Admin Panel >> General >> Security >> Admin/Moderation Changes

This way we could find out whenever it was an accident or someone hacked us.

Yes uh, I checked in the Naruto site, and the changes history looks neat. It displays dates and authors of changes in admin panel. Check when the automatic activation was disabled via the date of first activation email/message, and then track the author down with the function?

I just checked and no one has edited the permissions for people joining the site recently, meaning this is either a hack or its been a deeper issue then we thought, it might take some digging in the records to find out exactly what happened
