Project: Avenger is a secret project started by Izuna Kimura after his ascension to Lieutenant of Squad Three. He did this due to the hindrance of not having a zanpakutou and the fact it hard a hard effect on his fighting style and capabilities and so to be at the point of a lieutenants fighting level he initiated this project in secret to assist him although Izuna sees it with a more higher purpose in the near future.

Item name: Zweihänder
Description: Zweihänder is a large sword, it is a Zanbatou, literally translating to "Horse-slaying sword". The blade was designed to be used by Izuna and has a large, flat and straight edge blade, the top is a darker shade of grey than its actual cutting edge which highlights where it is actually sharp although the darker shade is used for Izuna to grab the blade safely and use it to deflect attacks.

Near the hilt there is a triangular pattern which is compromised of three holes in the blade. The handle itself is quite plain and is simply long and easily held. The blade has no ornaments or even designs showing it was built for battle and purely battle.

Effect: The unique aspect of Zweihänder is the fact that Izuna can manipulate the weight of the weapon. Only Izuna can actually use this effect due to something he developed called "Soul Link" which links the sword to his soul. Unlike a zanpakutou Zweihänder isn't a spiritual weapon but more like an extension of the user's soul.

By manipulating the weight of the sword Izuna can wield it single-handed with relative ease and move at an incredible speed and rate with it, it's usually always light to Izuna which is why he can wield it so easily and carry it on his back like it is nothing. The useful and main aspect of it however is it is incredibly easy to build momentum but by making it heavier on the down swing it is incredibly hard to counter and block.
Number of it you have/possible/allowed: Only one was created and it is wielded by its creator: Izuna Kimura.
History: Recently Izuna has found the lack of a zanpakutou quite a burden for him, he can do no form of Zanjutsu and so to rectify it he started his project. Project: Avenger where he creates weapons with specific purposes and abilities to replace the lack of a zanpakutou. These can be create and distributed by Izuna to others, although they are usually Modified Souls.

It was created by Izuna to be incredible versatile as a weapon despite its large size and length. Izuna initially chose to create a Zanbato due to the fact he could increase the power of his swings and have a stronger momentum, however the initial size and weight made wielding it have less value as a weapon. Izuna later incorporated the weapon's ability as he can manipulate the weight of the weapon meaning he can easily wield it single-handed and also make it much heavier when striking.

Item name: Homing Dagger
Description: The daggers themselves are quite basic, as with most Avenger Weapons they are made with purpose and lack ornament or decoration. They are simple grey with a dull finish, the blades are double-edged with a central point. The daggers lack a guard or Tsuba and have a simple handle which makes them much more aerodynamic, in the blade there are three holes to reduce weight although the blades don't whistle in flight when air passes through them.

Effect: Homing Dagger was designed to support Izuna in combat by bring manipulated by his Telekinesis. Like all Avenger-class weapons and equipment the daggers have a special ability which makes them unique. Like Zweihänder they are linked to Izuna's soul and as such cannot be used to the fullest extent unless Izuna is wielding them.

Projectiles by purpose the Homing Dagger set are designed to strike from multiple angles, the unique ability however is that they cut through reishi, reiryoku and reiatsu. In essence this means that should a cero, Kidō spell or even Quincy Arrows be fired these blades can split the spiritual bonds of the technique and render it harmless.

This makes fighting Izuna difficult when he is using the weapons for all it requires is a touch and the energy it hits is dispelled. This also means that should someone try to stop it with a technique which replicates Telekinesis through anything but the mind as Izuna does then as it moves it cuts the spiritual binding which would manipulate it.

Homing Dagger was created as a support weapon, by using Telekinesis Izuna is capable of moving them through air as projectiles. Which allows him to flank and support his fighting style as he uses Zweihänder. The original and only six were created from the substance of asauchi, which makes them as powerful as any other zanpakutou. They were specifically designed to be projectiles although Izuna later reforged them to be usable as regular daggers.
