 THE SHINIGAMI APPLICATION Name: Hoshi AkashiyaAlias: Useless as fuck Real Age: 240 Phys. Age: Mid-Thirties Gender: Male Personality: Hoshi is a man, that much is true. However, he's a gentle man. He doesn't particularly like fighting, as people get hurt from it. This gentle nature transfers even into his feeling towards humans, as he doesn't want them to get hurt either. This gentle nature is quite obvious from basically everything he does. If one falls, he'll help them up. He won't rebuke those talking trash about him, as he finds no point in the matter. All will end up being sorted through given time. He also never talks trash, as he finds no purpose in talking others down from having any sorts of egos. Along that same note, he never has found egging on a man with an ego to be a good idea, as they often make rash choices. He's also very into keeping things organized and clean, in case of crisis or emergency. He finds those who rush in, leaving a mess in their wake, to be bothersome. Not that he wouldn't like to make friends with them, it's just that they hardly understand the concept of collateral damage, even if that damage is just significantly more work than the 4th division would want. He's also a patient man, which is one of the reasons he joined the 4th division. He has no problem sitting down and doing any amount of paperwork. He has no qualms with it, because he knows that most people do. Hoshi doesn't like doing it, make no mistake. He is just patient enough to do it, and it gives him a distraction from the otherwise rather busy 4th division. This can be considered a weakness, as his patience doesn't stop there. When healing, he's entirely fine with taking the long route. He has no problem with a guaranteed fix that takes forever, rather than a quick, but risky, operation. It's also why he has a surprisingly good relationship with his zanpaktou spirit. He's calm, and is willing to talk almost anything out. This again, stems from his patience. This patience allows him to handle difficult personalities, as he won't respond to provocation like many others might. However, this patience and gentleness leads to an almost inability to start a fight. He would almost never fight if it wasn't required. Undoubtedly, if he must fight, he will. He, like all others, has the capacity to fight. He just lacks the urge to do so on a regular basis. Another thing to note, is he keeps a very detailed journal about everything that happens in day to day life, just so he doesn't forget. He feels forgetting things is the worst thing people can do, as it can cause a crisis just as easily as a simple misunderstanding. He'd so much rather avoid a crisis, and thus keeps the journal of his day to day activities. It's also so he knows if something is wrong, as he'd be missing a day or have written down when something starts feeling off. Even his own method of talking is soft-spoken. He refuses to raise his voice unless absolutely needed. He finds that those who need to be heard will be when they need to be heard. There's no reason to raise your voice and argue with others before that, not that he'd argue with you unless it would kill multiple people more than the optimal plan. He has long hair, oft going past his shoulders. It's always kept clean, and if he must fight, he always puts it in a pony tail behind his head. His eyes are rarely seen, as he often has his eyes mostly closed. It's to give off a calming aura. It's because he never has a intimidating notion in his body. There's never a time where he tries to be intimidating, and it comes through in his distinctively calm aura. On top of all that, he isn't heavily built with muscle. He's quite lean, which helps him give off a calm demeanor, as his body lacks the natural bulk that most look to for intimidation. It helps that his stance is often withdrawn instead of forward, giving the idea that he's more ready to retreat than fight. Something that would back this assumption is that he has no scars on his body. This is partly because of his shikai, but also because he rarely fights. He seemingly never changes clothing, altohough that's because he just switches through 3 versions of his robes. THE COMBAT INFORMATION General Fighting Style: He dislikes fighting. It's against his nature, and he doesn't have many tools to do so. However, the few tools he does have, are as sharp as can be.His main method of attack is through hand to hand, primary due to the nature of his shikai. Because of his shikai, and the fact that he dislikes cutting people, he learned multiple Hakuda techniques. He feels cuts hurt far more, and thus almost never uses his sword; which led to his skill with the blade being far lower than most. This is combined with his above average speed, making him a formidable opponent when he fights. If it's obvious that his opponents have the physical strength, and him and his opponent are equal in speed; he'll depend on his Kido. He has a preference towards Bakudo, as more often these spells don't harm those hit, just restrains or blocks their attacks. His style of combat rarely changes, no matter who he battles. Strengths: Hakuda, Speed, Kido, Spiritual Energy Weaknesses: Strength, Stamina, Durability Ability Name: Master Cook Ability Description: Having spent most of his years cooking, Hoshi has became a master at cooking. ZANPAKUTO Sealed Appearance: KatanaZanpakutou Name: Naichingēru no chikai[Nightingale Pledge] Call Out Command: Heal Diligently, Naichingēru no chikai SHIKAI Appearance: The sword becomes a pair of gloves that covers the users hands. The gloves are an exact fit, and are plain white gloves.Abilities: It allows the user to heal any cut or bruise; and by proxy internal bleeding, as long as the user keeps physical contact with the injury for 3 posts. Boosts: 2x to Kido BANKAI New Name: Hipokuratesunochikai[Hippocratic Oath]Appearance: The gloves change to a golden color, but nothing else changes. Abilities: It allows the user to heal any cut or bruise; and by proxy internal bleeding, as long as the user keeps physical contact with the injury for 2 posts. Character appearance changes, weapon changes, etc.] Abilities: [What abilities does your character gain] Boosts: [In this release, you get a 4x boost; you can apply this to as many 'stats' as you want (strength, speed, durability, etc) but they're diminishing returns; the more you have, the less effective they actually are.] BACK-DROP History: Hoshi was born in the same place as most Shinigami; the Seireitei. He lived an absolutely average life up till now, all things considered. He wasn't particularly gifted in things. He was actually rather average in the academy, taking the full six years to finish the education. He was soft spoken even then, only showing capacity in Kido. He was put in squad four shortly after, as he had been notable helpful and kind, and willing to stay back and clean.He's been there awhile, not being notable. He's been helpful for the entire time within his stay at the 4th division, upon working up through the ranks. He's only gotten to vice captain because of his experience. He's a lot older than most of those who were up for promotion, and was given it as he had the strength the others had, and the experience none of them had. It's notable that since his becoming a shinigami, he has a lot of notebooks entirely filled with day to day activities. He has it stacked someplace unknown to most people, and even he sometimes forgets.
