Personality: Joshua is something of a lone wolf. He prefers to stick to himself and has no interest in joining a group or organization unless he absolutely has to in order to survive. Despite this, he does not dislike the company of others and can act kindly and protectively to those he views as friends or even mere acquaintances as long as they have done nothing to get on his bad side. To those he dislikes, he either flat out ignores or simply treats rudely, often picking fights or cursing them out for the smallest of reasons. He can also be rather forgiving, allowing others to explain any actions they take against him before determining where they stand in his point of view.

However, Joshua is more then a little short tempered and will not hesitate to fight anyone who attacks him, regardless of their strength. This is especially true if a friend is involved, causing him to act recklessly in the hopes of protecting them, even if he stands little chance against his opponent. Despite his rage though, Joshua is remain calm enough to think and know when to retreat.

Joshua has rather strong feelings for Amaya Yashia, who has been a friend of his since their youth and is often the yin to his yang, keeping his temper calmer then usual by her mere presence and a few simple words. As such, he is fiercely protective of her and does not tolerate anyone picking on or hurting her. Likewise, he is protective of her sisters and tends to view them as good friends, if not family, and there is nothing he won't do to keep them safe.

Quirk Name: Electrokinesis
Quirk Type: Emitter

Quirk Description: Joshua is able to generate, channel, and direct electricity with his body. A very powerful quirk, Joshua is able to launch bolts of lightning at others, which can very from stun to paralyze to worse, send a current through touch, and simply absorb and redirect outside electricity.

Joshua has also trained to use his electricity through other means, often inspired by manga and video games. These include using electricity to cause bladed objects to vibrate at high frequency to increase their cutting power, using electromagnetism to manipulate metal objects and walk on metal surfaces, and turn ordinary objects into highspeed projectiles.

The cost of such a powerful quirk effect's Joshua's body directly. His body is only able to handle so much electricity and is slowly paralyzes him the more he uses his quirk in succession. This results in him reacting to attacks and environmental hazards slower initially but it can cause entire, if temporary, limb paralysis, starting with the limbs exposed to the most electricity and slowly spreading as he uses his quirk more. Even though he could use his electricity to continue using a paralyzed limb, doing so might result in permanent paralysis of the limb. If he pushes himself too far, he could potentially paralyze his whole body.

On top of that, any quirk that involved a substance that does not conduct electricity can counter most of Joshua's applications of his quirk, though he does has ways around some materials such as rubber. Additionally, he has to be careful about control with his quirk, as otherwise his ranged attacks could be redirected towards metal objects he does not intend to hit, making metal another fact her has to account for.

Joshua's hero 'outfit' has several small containers of iron sand he can weaponize through the use of his quirk, allowing him to use it as a weapon to cut through objects,use as source of blunt force trauma, or a projectile weapon, as well as a means of restraining others as long as he keeps it charged.

Hero Role Model: None

History: Joshua grew up alongside the Yashia family and more often then not, lived at their place due to his parents often being away being heroes.  It is because of this he views each of the members as his true family, never really connecting with his parents. As a result, he grew to resent his parent over time, thinking they preferred their jobs over him and this resentment often gave way to anger, resulting in the short fuse he still has to this day. This is also part of his motivation in becoming a hero, to one-up them and finally earn their attention and respect.

Joshua's quirk showed up while he was young, the same as most other children. At first, it was rather weak, only being able to emit mild shocks like those caused by static electricity.  However, as he grew he began pushing his quirk, discovering it's true power and potential. As he unlocked more possibilities and power while learning it's limitations, he would push himself to be able to handle more and more of it and control it better so as to avoid seriously harming others. This was fueled by his motivation to protect his adoptive family, especially Amaya, who he often trained alongside with.

With his goals set on surpassing his parents, Joshua applied for UA as soon as he was able to and managed to pass his entrance exam. He has put his all into being a top student since and although he can get in trouble from time to time protecting his sisters from possible bullies.
