So Ika was in need of some assistance, even though he had assembled what was in his mind a very strong group of combatants to reclaim New York he knew full well that the numbers they possessed were going to be way too obnoxious to deal with if he didn't have assistance. So, with that in mind Ika elected to contact a group he had heard about. A group known as the Continental, supposed Assassins of the Advent Human variety that were up for hire. This may surprise you, but a man who can kill and take whatever he wants tends to save up a lot of money over a 1500 year period and so Ika was fairly certain he had the wealth build up to pay these people whatever they would require in order to lend him their services.

So now it was just a matter of relaxing and waiting on this lovely bench he had found on the outskirts of town. Once the Human arrived he could introduce himself and hopefully strike a deal with her..

Ika's moment to relax was cut short very swiftly as the crack of a gunshot could be heard nearby, giving the vizard an immediate sense of danger as the unknown assailant revealed herself. She wasn't exactly inconspicuous, her uniform was sure to turn heads if the gun she was holding leveled at Ika wasn't already doing so. It was hard to tell in the moment if she was actually trying to kill him or not, but he had mere moments to somehow respond to this attack before he could really think it all through.

Ika's relaxing time was cut pretty fucking short as the crack of a gunshot went off nearby, Ika saw the bullet coming and quickly snagged it out of the air between his two fingers. It burnt the tips of his skin even through the gauntlets but for the most part he was unfazed as he smashed it between his fingers, having hardly moved at all to catch it. Upon doing this he would turn to face his new-found comrade, her flair for fashion was undeniable and her gun was pretty neat as well. Ika quickly returned fire, pointing his finger behind him he launched a bala sized bullet of acid from his point finger, having let the blood flow out from the bullet he caught.

Ika smirked before turning to face her, a smile was lightly etched across his face. "You know someone's gonna get hurt if you keep pointing that thing at people." Ika Shunpo'd forwards, grabbing the gun and giving the woman a playful smile as he squeezed tightly around it. "Let's put that away for now yeah? I came here to make a friend not a mess.."

Rei didn't seem particularly phased as the vizard returned fire, in fact she barely moved an inch as she fired again to intercept the round before it got anywhere near her, the two projectiles clashing to destroy each-other in mid air. It was clear she was an unparalleled marksman, and someone with reactions like that wasn't about to get caught out by one speedy-boi trying to grab her gun. Even with the difference in power, it seemed his sheer speed wasn't enough to outmatch her reflexes.

In fact, it would look to Ika that she had been blindsided entirely as he went to grab her gun, only for her figure to melt away entirely to reveal it had been an after-image. It wasn't clear how she did it, be it through sheer speed or some-other shenanigans, but he hadn't seen the assassin move in the slightest. Even if she was leveling her weapon at the back of his head. "Very well, you're clearly the man I'm looking for" She smoothly holstered her weapon, which seemed to vanish as it passed her waist. "I apologize for my rude introduction, but in our current situation I can't afford to waste time with weak allies. The threat is too great" When he turned, the young woman would offer a polite bow.

Even with the difference in power, it seemed his sheer speed wasn't enough to outmatch her reflexes.

The woman seemed less than phased as Ika returned fire, in fact she hardly needed to move an inch as she fired again to intercept the round he had launched at her. The rounds clashed and canceled each other out, it was clear to Ika by this point that the woman was quite the marksman, and that he probably needed to be on his toes around her. Ika was caught off guard by the after-image Akane had left behind as he went for her gun and for one of the first times in a long time, he had been caught off guard. At least, he had been caught off guard somewhat. He circled around and was lucky enough to catch her out of the corner of his eyes and so at Shunpo speeds he brought his claws up to her neck, pointing them at her throat as he saw her gun aimed at his throat. He smirked as she mentioned that he was, in fact, the one she was looking for.

"A lot of people say that, but I wouldn't say the same for many of them. You're a bit different though.." Ika smirked slyly, letting his claws slip away from her neck as she holstered her gun. As she mentioned being incapable of working with weak allies Ika would simply nod an affirmative response, taking in the very pretty assassin with the lovely short skirt. "I can understand that sentiment, though I'm a bit offended my name wasn't enough for you to get the clue.. Perhaps I haven't done enough to this world for Humans to know my name though.. I'll forgive it for now. My name is Ika Mazi, and if I am correct you are the very lovely leader of the Continental.. A group of Spiritually Aware assassins.. am I correct about that?"

Rei didn't falter for a moment as those deadly blades came close to her neck, it would not have taken more than a slight movement from either of them and it could have really turned into a bloodbath. That wasn't the reason either of them were here of course, so it seemed they had both shown their hands... well, at least a little of their capabilities. She could tell that it wasn't a fight she could have easily won, or won at all... Not that it would have stopped her from trying if push came to shove.

The young assassin didn't seem to pay any heed to his taking in her visage, she knew exactly the sort of reaction her outfit could get and was obviously used to such things. "We've been keeping track of most people of note. At least until it came to the attack on New York. Which is why I am here." She would nod to acknowledge his question "Yes, I currently control all operations of the Continental Hotel and it's constituents. That should be more than enough information on that subject at the very least. "So, I am here to offer assistance in removing the sinner threat. We do not have the strength to deal with them alone." It wasn't like they had an army, focusing more on quality over sheer quantity. Which was more than enough when it came to their normal line of work but could seem a little lacking when it came to fending off the denizens of hell who seemed to be out for revenge.

The woman didn't falter at all as Ika brought his blades to her neck and that in and of itself was enough to earn his respect to some degree. The young assassin didn't seem to pay much heed to him taking her physical appearance in stride, which was both reassuring and somewhat depressing at the same time. God what a fucking tease that skirt was- anyway. As the supposedly more important topic came up Ika listened intently, pondering how exactly he wanted to go about this whole affair. "Yeah I was retired when the Sinner attack happened but as you can see.. It's unfortunately forced my hand towards being a bit more forceful in this realm than I had originally intended to be. Also, I would like to see those files you've gathered on the more dangerous people around when you get the time. I'm even willing to pay handsomely if need be.."

Ika carefully avoided looking down as the two of them talked, and when she mentioned joining forces to defeat the Sinners he couldn't help but smile slightly from ear-to-ear. "Well that's just what I was looking for..erm.." Ika paused for a minute before continuing. "I'm going to call you gun-lady. Hopefully that doesn't bother you much, but yes the alliance you've proposed seems pretty fruitful in my eyes. Provided she had responded in an affirmative manner, he would simply nod and speak up. "Though I guess if we're going to be a team we should probably discuss strategy on how we wish to do this, no?"

The assassin nodded "We can have our information passed on as soon as I get back" It was hardly beneficial to keep their intel to themselves with all that was at stake. It was beneficial to everyone involved if they knew more about their shared enemy after all. Considering Ika's group was made up of some ancient beings already, their knowledge was sure to help the much younger band of assassins. Rei seemed to be unflappable, even with the man deciding to give her a nickname and having trouble keeping his eyes up to meet her own.

"I'm glad to hear it, I'm sure together we will have little trouble dealing with these Sinners" She nodded, pondering for a moment exactly what their plan might be. "I've already ordered my people to scout out any activity from our enemy. I plan on answering any violence on their behalf in kind. We can't attack the leader to try and destabilize them that way, so we go after the small fry. I want them to question every step they make in the human world."

It seemed like her plan involved more guerrilla tactics than an outright assault. Demoralizing the weaker members of this group to bring out more experienced combatants. "They shouldn't feel safe doing anything, anywhere. Once they're questioning if it's worth leaving whatever pit they hide in we can start to clear New York and work on cutting the head off the snake."

The woman confirmed that she would pass along whatever intel they had gathered to Ika when she got back to her base, and Ika was glad to hear this. The girl was impossible to break, even as Ika's eyes wandered south of the navel on various occasions, she seemed confident that the combined might of Konton and the Continental would have little trouble in dealing with the Sinner threat in New York and to be honest, Ika couldn't help but to agree. As she laid out their strategy for dealing with the Sinners Ika also nodded in agreement. "I agree that guerrilla tactics will be most efficient in dealing with the threat here, but perhaps we should look towards the inevitable assault we will need to truly remove them from their new hole."

Ika pondered for a minute before continuing. "I propose your assassins take to the roof-tops, picking off any stragglers they can in the streets. I will confront their leader and if you find a chance to take a shot on him in the midst of our encounter blow that psychotic fucks brains out. Beyond that I think my guys can handle the bulk of the heavy-lifting, if that plan meets your approval of course." Ika smirked slightly, awaiting her affirmative response so that they could move on from the topic at hand.

"The idea is we draw them out of their hole, eventually they will need to respond to their loss of manpower" Though he was right, if all did go to plan they would be fighting the leader of this group of sinners and it hadn't gone particularly well for them last time. Though the Continental had very little to do with the initial attack, they too had been caught by surprise by the sinners...

"Acting as support will be fine, my people are opportunistic by nature after all. And most are not suited for front-line combat." It seemed she agreed with his plan, mostly at least, it seemed that Ika wanted the glory for himself. As an assassin Rei didn't care too much for the limelight, the opportunity to kill their enemy would be entirely for personal reasons. "I'm sure we can iron out the details when we know more. For now we need to focus on ensuring there are no further attacks on human populations, there is enough panic as it is" So far, she had essentially stonewalled the vizard, making what she was thinking particularly hard to read. Though she had been keenly watching him, and had certainly noticed he had a problem with his eyes wandering. Not the first person to have this issue either, so she felt no need to comment.
