Johan was in a bit of a melancholy mood. His heart was a storm of confliction towards his duties to family versus duties of race. He'd recently overheard his father discussing with his mother on the subject of making him the next family head and retiring from his duty as one of the main hunters of Hollows in Germany. On one hand, Johan was honored beyond words. As far as young men went, Johan felt none were as blessed as he for only by the grace of God had he survived the Hollow attack on the home of his now deceased biological parents. Indeed, Johan felt indebted to his father even now for a day he wasn't capable of remembering. Additionally, when his own abilities as a Quincy began to manifest his father began to train Johan alongside his adopted brother Jens.
He'd always sought to be the good son, to try and show his gratitude in any way he could. Always, always, he followed the rules which now left him in this predicament. He was Gemischt, impure, not fit to carry toe glorious and honorable name of his adopted house in the next generation. Jens, an Echt Quincy with great talent (Which his brother squandered, much to Johan's chagrin) was far more suited to such a role. These thoughts swirled and crashed like a storm within Johan's mind as he stood midair above the Black Forest while absently listening to the hum of the ambient Reishi for Hollows and the like in very obviously Quincy garb.
