Real Age: 22 Phys. Age: 22 Gender: Male Personality: Johan has something of a reputation for being a stern individual. This is an attitude he has learned from being raised by a stern man with high expectations, Johan’s adopted father. As a young infant Johan’s parents were killed in a Hollow attack, but his soon-to-be adopted father Joseph noticed that the small baby had survived the attack. Taking pity on the child, Joseph took Johan and brought him into his home where he raised the child along with his wife Petra and older brother Jens. As Johan grew older, Joseph realized that the boy was a Quincy. Gemischt, but a Quincy all the same. Joseph’s family had a strong pedigree of Echt Quincies, and were well known among the other German families for their special style of Reishi manipulation which they invented in the early 1820s. One of their descendants moonlit as an assistant to the famed Bavarian physicist and optical lens manufacturer Joseph von Fraunhofer. While working alongside the great mind, a then-young Thomas Dämmerung was inspired my the way in which Fraunhofer made his glass and took that knowledge and developed it into a technique for manipulating reishi and giving it glass-like properties. His descendants would build on this technique overtime until the Dämmerung style became famous throughout the Echt families of Germany. Backstory detour aside, Joseph began training his adopted son alongside his brother in the family techniques. Knowing of Johan’s Gemischt heritage, he was particularly hard on the boy and never tolerated a quitter’s attitude. Frustrated by his brother Jen’s natural talent at using Quincy techniques, Johan began to struggle, study, and train far harder than his naturally gifted brother ever would. Because Johan only wished to make his parents proud he hardened his mind and will, forging them with iron discipline. As such, Johan is a man who is tough on himself and others. He doesn’t tolerate any effort below 100% from anyone. It doesn’t matter if they’re a lackey, an equal, or a higher up, Johan will calmly point out that they simply need to work harder. Because of this, Johan comes off as really a preachy dude with a stick up his ass. However, Those who come to know him will find that beneath the iron exterior lies a deep compassion for his fellow man and a heart of gold. Johan is someone who fights because he has to. Though he wouldn’t have necessarily chosen to be born a Quincy for himself, he understands that these are the cards he’s been dealt and therefore seeks to make the absolute most out of them he can. As is the Dämmerung style, Johan approaches combat with a very tactical mindset. In his opinion, people who enjoy bloodshed grow addicted, and an addiction is something that prevents you from giving it your all. Ironically, Johan is quite fond of alcohol, and beer in particular. He’s not exactly an alcoholic, but if some of the boys say they wanna hit the bar Johan will jump at the chance to have a good time. Being too wound up is bad for your health, after all. Unlike his sober and disciplined self, Johan is a loud and rambunctious drunk who will sing songs and dance till the night gives way to morning. THE COMBAT INFORMATION General Fighting Style: Johan is an incredibly technical fighter who uses his years of training in the Dämmerung style with a bizarre toolkit of special techniques he's spent years honing and mastering. His bullets constantly vary in damage, confusing his opponent as to what's safe and what's dangerous coming out of his gun. Combine that with his innovations in Seele Schneider artificing, and you've got a man just waiting for you to make a mistake.Strengths: Agility, Sensing, Reishi Manipulation, Stamina, Durability, Blut Weaknesses: Strength, Zanjutsu, Hakudo, Reiatsu Manipulation, Reiatsu QUINCY POWERS Ability Name: Blut Vene Ability Description: While Johan has Blut Vene active, he is treated as having an extra layer of strong Hierro. PERSONAL POWERS Ability Name: Saal der Spiegel Ability Description: Johan can conjure up to 10 mirrors at Hirenkyaku speed per turn anywhere within a radius if 500 feet using Reishi. These mirrors are connected to Johan’s sensory capabilities and possess the special properties of being able to redirect any Heilig Pfeil-based techniques that bounce off the mirrors towards his opponent (In simpler terms, trickshot aim-assists). Aside from their special properties, the mirrors possess the same durability as glass and disappear at the end of the turn. Ability Name: Seelensonar Ability Description: Johan is incredibly sensitive to the fluctuations of ambient Reishi and their interactions with Reiatsu. All this culminates in an active mental map (think echolocation, but with Reishi) of the surrounding area with a radius of 500 feet. Ability Name: Heiliger Günslinger Ability Description: Johan’s basic bullets deal Bala damage and move at Bala speeds. Additionally, once per turn Johan can make one higher-level technique that is up to a Cero in power move at Bala speeds. Ability Name: Seelenschneider Kugel Ability Description: Johan’s Seele Schneider are made of a special material which incorporates his adopted family’s Reishi glass. This armor has the same qualities as a coating of Average Hierro. Ability Name: Doppelspiegel Ability Description: Johan can create special magnifying lenses which, instead of redirecting his arrow-based techniques, doubles their power once. Bullets that have already been doubled cannot double in power again, additionally the bullet that enters Doppelspeigel cannot be higher than Gran Rey in power. Furthermore, Johan cannot use this ability while Blut Arterie is active. Cooldown is equal to the power of the ability who's power is doubled by the mirror. Bala: None Cero: 1 per Cero Level Gran Rey: 3 Ability Name: Umkehrspiegel Ability Description: Johan creates an ornate, silver-backed mirror which can absorb any attack up to a Cero’s worth of damage and instantly fire it back at the opponent as a Heilig Pfeil of equal damage to the absorbed attack. (1 turn cooldown) Ability Name: Kunststück Ability Description: Johan calls out to any of his personal Seele Schneiders not on his person and causes them to perform a Hirenkyaku back into his hand. Additionally, any broken Seele Schneider are repaired. (2 turn cooldown) Ability Name: Gesegnete Vollmetallrunde Ability Description: Johan fires a special bullet that functions like a full metal jacket round. Because of the bullet’s nature it deals damage differently and has different cooldowns dependent on the target’s durability. - Strong: Gran Rey (3 turn cooldown) - Average: Cero (2 turn cooldown) - Weak: Bala (1 turn cooldown) Ability Name: Kaiserkanone Ability Description: Johan fires a powerful bullet that deals Gran Rey Damage. (3 turn cooldown) Ability Name: Göttliches Gericht Ability Description: Johan fires a massive bullet up into the air which splits into multitudes of smaller rounds which arc and rain back down in a 100 foot radius around him for a Gran Rey of Damage. (3 turn cooldown) VOLLSTANDIG Ability Name: Heiliger Orbitallaser Ability Description: Upon entering Vollstandig, Johan possesses 3 Cero-level Heilige Pfeil bolts that orbit around him. Johan can fire these at will, and once he fires one a cooldown begins. After the cooldown has passed, Johan's orbital bolts are recharged to 3. (3 turn cooldown) Ability Name: Heilige Kaiserkanone Ability Description: Johan gains a secondary Quincy Weapon which is a sawed-off shotgun that is charged with an Oscuras worth of damage. Johan can control and summon this weapon telepathically from within 3 feet of himself and fire it as such. This weapon is connected to Johan's senosry ability. This gun possesses 2 bullets that each deal 1/2 an Oscuras. Once a bullet is fired, the weapon beings a cooldown and once the cooldown has passed the bullets are recharged back to 2.
