"I see, they sorta did the same to me. Except I went looking for a home instead. I knew I wouldn't survive on my own, not in my current state." He looked up to her, catching her gaze. "Honestly, for me, it was join or be killed. I didn't want to let fate decide for me, not this time." As he talked to her, he could feel the heat slowly simmer down a bit, to a more bearable temperature at least. After all, he really didn't come here to egg her on.
Ase let out a slight smile, "You know, not every Arrancar is pure evil and hellbent on causing chaos and destruction. You're a great example to that testament. You could easily have killed me upon my arrival, and still could even now." Ase let his gaze fall from her eyes to what was left of the sinners behind her. "But sometimes we do what we must to survive. I may not know your story, but I know mine, and I would not have survived on my own, not in these worlds we live in.." His gaze fell from the sinners down to his palms, as he held them open towards his face, losing the smile for a moment. "I need to become stronger, so I can stop relying on others to survive." He stopped, seeming to go on a little too far down a personal hole that he doubted she cared to hear. He looked back to her with another smile. "You understand, right?"
