A lot of work had gone into this day, particularly in the short amount of time it had all been brought together. To New York Residents, the complex had seemingly risen from the earth in a matter of weeks. A monolithic structure of polished black stone that stood tall among what had been a wreckage for months now, with smaller structures spotted around that all seemed to converge upon the central tower. Only recently had activity been spotted in the area, scores of people from all walks of life were entering through a grand courtyard before vanishing into the complex.

They were all here for one purpose, a call to arms from an unknown organization. All those who answered found themselves escorted into the depths of the building to be seated in an auditorium of sorts, facing an empty stage as they waited for their host to arrive and explain exactly what was going on here. Whatever hushed voices had been speaking were promptly silenced as the ambient lights dimmed to bring focus to the central stage.

Moments later a young man strode confidently up the short set of stairs to face those that had gathered. Most in the room would not recognize him, but from the front row all the way to the back they could feel the intensity of his gaze. “To begin, I would like to thank you all for showing up today. The clandestine nature of our work made it impossible to give further details until I knew everything was in place” He paused, doing a quick sweep of the room to ensure he had the groups utmost attention.

“My name is Viktor Iscariot, and the fact that I have called you all here today is due to a failing on my part” The projectors lit up the wall behind him, showing off scenes of absolute destruction. “Until today, I lead an organization that strived to protect the human world from all external threats. I believed that we were enough to act as a shield and destroy anything that would dare harm humanity.” The pictures shifted to several recent attacks. Of smoldering buildings, flattened towns and the victims of these brutal assaults by the spirit world.

“Though we have stood guard for centuries, our methods were outdated, and my leadership and power were not enough anymore.” He gestured to the presentation. “This is just the beginning, even now our enemies plan on further bloodshed. And I intend on making sure that whatever creature next steps foot in our world regrets the very day it was spawned. But I cannot do this alone, I need people like you who are willing and able to use their power to defend their home”

There was conviction in his voice, a forceful desire that he wished to impart on all those that sat before him. “In this room I see the future of mankind, every single one of you took the chance on your invitation with no reason to trust a single word written upon it. Those willing to sacrifice their lives for the good of their fellow man and fight back against anything that would dare bring harm to those they care for”

Viktor certainly had a flair for the dramatic, an impassioned speech and call to arms that was hard to pass up. A noble path for those who wanted to protect humanity beyond all else. “Together, we will ensure that we will never see a scene like this again! We will claim justice for those who have already been lost, and honour them with every fiber of our beings”

“And as such, I would like to personally invite you all to the Coalition. If you have any doubts in your resolve, then you are free to leave.” He motioned to the door. It seemed that this mysterious young man’s speech was over, the message simple enough to comprehend without going into the finer details. He was not selling a job here, he was providing a pathway to freedom and safety for mankind, if only they were brave enough to take it.

He let the silence hang for a moment as he stepped to the fore, taking his time in looking over the expressions of the people in the crowd. “If there are any questions, please, speak”

Sitting in the front row, somewhere near the middle, was none other than Sora, the little green haired boy. Having left his entire life behind him for what he truly believed to be the greater good, Sora would impatiently wait with untamed anticipation as others gradually gathered in behind him.  Within the confines of his seat, he would radiate energy of excitement, with no means or intent of holding it all in.

Finally, a man would step onto the stage and address the audience, the presentation would begin and the boy would hang on the edge of his seat, clutching to every word the man spoke. Intensifying what passions the boy had already . Now having the comrades and place to support the exercise of these feelings was just what he had hoped for. Though, the scenes shown with the projector were not all new to Sora, some levels of destruction that far exceeded others indeed shredded what little light that may have shimmered dimly on Sora's hope.

By the end of the speech, Sora was dim, his radiated energy had nipped itself out. There were so many questions Sora would have liked to ask when he got in, but now he felt as though he could barely even stay. All he had were doubts in his resolve right now. However, there was something tugging at him, almost gluing him to his seat despite his efforts to flee. using Jade's Telepathy, Jade would ask for Sora, "Do you have a ready training regiment for those willing, but not able?" These feminine words would be heard only by Viktor shortly after he finished he asks if there are any questions.

In the background Apsel sat, listening intently to his former leader's diatribe. Upon hearing Viktor admit his failings filled Apsel with satisfaction, he was right, and above that he was the one who had dragged him out of his study and out into the world at large. On hearing a call for questions Apsel stood up and straighted out his suit, "So, are you willing to listen to reason now? and can I trust that you won't lock yourself away and start chasing shadows again?" Despite how petty Apsel was his primary concern was for his fellow man, and he had to be sure Vitkor wasn't going to get lost in the weeds again.

Accelerator didn't exactly want to be here and certainly not within the given circumstances but yet, he was here. He sat with his arms crossed and his eyes closed as he listened to Viktor give an admittedly top tier sermon about what this org was meant to be and what it was for. If he was being totally honest, he was significantly more captivating than that other chick.. uh.. whoever she was. To be honest, he had long since forgotten her name and only vaguely recognized her when he was notified of her disappearance. He was a bit disappointed he wasn't the person responsible for it admittedly, but that was a discussion for another time..

Viktor asked for questions which at best brought Accelerator mild amusement. He kept his eyes closed for a moment before turning to Viktor with a bit of fire and amusement in his eyes. "Yeah why would I listen to a former papist just because he apparently has a lot of money. What exactly can I be expecting here?.."

Zoro meanwhile was listening to the clusterfuck of a meeting with apprehension and irritation apparent and etched across his face and expressions. He was leaned back against the wall, three sheathes sticking out lazily from his hips as he did his best not to nod off and fall asleep while his eyes were trained towards the ground below him. He didn't wanna be here, that much was certain. An organization like this didn't suit him at all, but this was the only way he knew he could really protect the Earth and so.. this was what he was going to try and dedicate himself to. He listened to the speech with roughly half his mind tuned in and as the man asked for questions he gave the floor to others to speak their mind. He had nothing to contribute to a discussion such as this, he only wanted a direction to move in where he could eradicate these beasts once and for all..

Sakota stood silently off to one side, he was familiar with Victor at least by reputation as he had been a part of the organization that the man had mentioned previously, and unfortunately during his time with them he really didn't get much of a chance to interact with most of the other members and was only sent out on routine missions. Nothing too fancy, but the gray-haired quincy didn't really care about that too much, though his understanding was that the whole organization was made up of Quincy like himself so that lead to a rather obvious lack of diversity. Granted each quincies power vary, they all have a similar basis and effectiveness, even if they looked and acted differently.

Either way he could tell just from the feel of the crowd that had gathered that there was more than just quincies here, which was a good start especially if there was those among them that could take a hit it would be great for the young quincy to team up with them, letting them take point while he used his bows keep his distance. Either way he is going to have to wait until this whole thing is over, to figure out where he is going to be assigned, and with who.

In the back by the door yawned the silver haired swordsman known as Haru Glory, it wasn't all that long ago that he had talked with another human with exceptional power in the ruins of New York about forming a faction like this. Though the green haired woman was currently nowhere to be seen, but apparently her notes had made it to the man in charge as Haru had received an invite to this little shindig. If it wasn't for the momentousness of the event though it probably wouldn't have caused the lazy sword master to slip from the covers of his bed to stand in this crowd.

It was taking quite a bit for Haru to not reach for his weapon among the crowded area, he hated it, too many people, not enough space. Part of him felt like he was suffocating and the stuffy man on stage talking didn't help much. As he droned on with his long winded spiel about being part of a secret group that was supposed to protect humanity from the things that go bump in the night and what not. Not that he, nor any that he had commanded had made their presence known while this mostly peaceful city was under assault by literal beings from Hell. So the violet eyed swordsman was skeptical, and will keep a wary eye on them, to that end he was enrolling his... well for lack of a better term apprentice in along side of him. A brown haired young man with a rather unique and versatile set of powers that he still seemed to be getting the hang of.

Hikari Raito, was probably one of the younger individuals to attend the meeting, and looked it seeming to be even younger than he actually was. His dark eyes were peeled as he scanned the crowd, the silver haired individual who took him under his wing was just off to his left scowling at the crowd whose jeering comments seemed to be aimed at the same concerns that Haru had expressed on the way here, Trust or a lack there of.

The young Advent however had a question of his own, one that seemed more pressing than the Trust one, and that was How, he could understand that the man leading this whole ordeal seemed to have some kind of backing atleast financially. But was it going to be enough, "I have one, Mr. Iscariot sir, How are we going to prevent a tragedy like the one that befell New York from happening again. How are we going to make sure that we have a response force no matter where the human race are attacked. Also do we have some kind of transportation option should reinforcements be needed lets say London, aside from us wearing ourselves out or hopping on a plane which might take too long what else do we have?"

"What'd I miss?" Staring at an empty stage waiting for whoever had the balls to call him out, Yami was waiting for the guest of honor to arrive. Darkness radiating from the man sitting somewhere in the middle row of the auditorium, looking around to see who else had answerred the call. Finally a young man appeared, thanking them for their presence. "At least he's got some manners" he thought out loud. The stranger, introducing himself to be Viktor Iscariot, then continued his talk by admitting some of the mistakes he made. "Escargot? Like a snail? Guess he didn't pick his own name." Anyway, Yami continued to listen to the man standing on the center of the stage, everyone's attention directed at him.

"Future of mankind? Hell yeah I am." From what he could understand it seemed there was a plan, an organization that would act one again as the shield of the human world, the Coalition. Asking if there were any questions, to which Yami simply shrugged his shoulders. He was long glad as long as he could fight and test his mettle against those threatening humanity.

"It seems that I'm the only bount representative here, given the fact that there are so few of us. There is a terrible misconception surrounding our race and the relationship that we would inherently have with humans. The shinigami judged that to be negative and ordered our extinction, this was wrong. Everything was done in moderation and survival, and we still hold the view that humanity is the unwilling participant between the war of the other races and due to that, makes them worth protecting. I will do what i can to ensure that happens. But i need to know, how far have you progressed in terms of tech?"

He believed more than s anything else that humans being self-sufficient was better than waiting on the shinigami.

Shane, dressed in a white button-up and black slacks, was leaned against a wall listening to Viktor's words. He kept silent. He had less qualms about including ordinary humans in this new Coalition than many Quincy due to his own past, but he was sure that there would be some tension and perhaps even a few leaving their sworn places. His silver-bronze eyes scanned the crowd, fingers tapping on his arm. Johan was nowhere to be found, having gone home to Germany for a time, and he hadn't seen Celestine in a week or so, given he was one of the former High Inquisitor's retinue.

A shame, really. He needed a relaxing day with his girl.

---------------------------------------------------------

Black wore his usual suit, a cigarette hanging loosely in his mouth as he listened in to the impassioned speech. It was understandable that some people would be debating whether or not to join still, but it also wasn't a question for the assassin. He knew what he was. His job was here, hunting down the things that go bump in the night.
