You wouldn't know Ko was over a hundred years old based on how he acts. His immaturity and brash mentality about the world is more like what you'd expect from a 16 year old gang member. Power and violence are the rules that govern his reality and anyone who thinks otherwise is likely to receive quite the vulgar mouthing off from Ko as he starts to pick a fight. Hot headed doesn't do him justice. He starts fights with anyone and everyone regardless of age, gender, or social standing. The only authority he recognizes is strength. However despite all his bravado and talk, Ko rarely kills the targets of his aggression. Instead, he prefers to use those he's subjugated like tools or toys.

Because of his tendency to pick fights without thinking, Ko will often aggravate his superiors so he ends up getting into trouble quite often. This has led to Ko selfishly leaving comrades behind to die for his mistake in picking fights he could not win. The fact that he is a visored is yet to be discovered, even he himself is unaware of the hollow that lies underneath.
ZANPAKUTO: 全焼! 猛火! [Burn Down! Shōnetsu Jigoku!]

By shouting the name of his zanpakuto, his blade releases immense amount of heat, causing near plants to die and moisture vaporize away. The blade of zanpakuto reaches extreme temperatures, going beyond melting point of iron, yet maintaining it's shape of sword. It is a good name for a such zanpakuto, since Shōnetsu Jigoku means inferno and burning hell, and it's ability is to make Ko's environment an inferno. The blade itself doesn't ignite, but it has ability to heat up the air around it, making it very hard for Ko's enemies to fight him. If another being or object comes in contact with his zanpakuto, for example is stabbed with it, it will burn flesh really badly, melt nearly any object and make blood of victim vaporize. His foes will painfully die of burns or desiccate without liquids. Such a horrible shikai, so what would his bankai do?
