In the same instance that kato dodges the white lightning, Hollis appears to be in another location with his finger held up. He remains silent showing only his normal smile and dark brown eyes as kato speaks. he lets loose another byakurai before kato can finish speaking.

Kato simply stared at the quickly approaching Kido. He absorbed the incoming lightning attack and turned it into pure speed. He would need this speed-boost if he were to even compete with the Captain. The more lightning was thrown at him, the faster Kato would become, and Kato would have no problem with that.

Still, Captain knew this. Why did he continue to fire these meaningless attacks?

As kato absorbs the attack, Hollis again appears to already be in a new location. He extends his middle finger and fires two byakurai at kato at the same time before shunpo-ing once more and firing two more. He continues to smile.

Kato absorbed all of the attacks and felt himself being forced into a new form. What was happening? It was like his body was being kicked into overdrive! His body itself was changing, shifting form. His hair grew longer, longer than when in Bankai. What was happening to him? His body had completely changed. He was visibly skinnier. His hair was longer, his eyes lost pupils, and he appeared to grow some type of wings.

All of a sudden, it seemed impossible for Kato to control himself. His body was moving on its own. It was moving much faster than he had ever moved before. It was as if he broke down a barrier that was holding him back. What was happening to him?

"Hmph.."

Hollis smiles as Katos physical appearance changes a bit. He does not stop blasting kido at him however as this happens. The 5th squad leader launches several more byakurai as he shunpos around, reappearing rapidly at different locations.

Kato's body began to dodge the Kido on its own. He disappeared for several seconds and reappeared less than a foot away from the Captain's back. He hadn't mean to do that.... It just happened. He extended his hand and held the Captain by his robe, lifting him above the ground.

What the hell was he doing? He couldn't control himself. Things were just happening to him. It was like looking through the window. He could actually see himself doing these actions. It was like watching a film.

Hollis's body begins to let off what appears to be steam as kato appears behind him. His smile grows a bit wider as the shinigami grabs at his robes and starts to lift. Before he can however, Hollis fires another kido at the man and shunpos again only this time it is faster than before. Hollis starts to shunpo around Kato, creating several Utsusemi as he does so that also 'appear' to fires byakurai. He shunpos around in firing byakurai in rapid sucession and creating many after images.

Kato roars. He literally roared. What was happening? What in the hell was going on? Kato smashed his blade on the ground, causing a massive explosion. All of the Utsusemi clones explode. Kato quickly discovered the real Captain and rushed at him. He ran at him with an intention to kill.

What was Kato doing? When would this madness stop? Kato was afraid. He was genuinely afraid for the first time in his Shinigami career.

Abilities Used

Name: Q4 - Atomic Slash
Description: Kato's blade essentially becomes an invincible explosive. An explosion occurs upon contact, but the blade does not shatter.

"mm, very good. It looks like you're gettin' a little antsy aren't ya pal.."

As the after images are destroyed, more steam is released from Hollis's body. Kato comes roaring towards the captain and it looks like he's ready to kill. Tsk, tsk, such talent with such little control. The steam being emitted from hollis's body then turns into energy and begins to shoot off of him like lightning. He points his fingers at kato and continues to fire byakurai at him, knowing that it is only feeding his opponent. as he does, he utters something beneath his breath.

"Kaizō Kidō..."

Hollis continues to fire byakurai at the man as the lightning begins to surround him.

Something was..... Different. Kato could smell it in the air. What was that? Kato was literally stuck in the unknown. He felt so powerful yet so weak at the same time. Kato roared once more and released a ton of Reiatsu. The Reiatsu released began to make the air dense. The steam that was being emitted began to die down, being overencumbered by Kato's Reiatsu.
