I've been noticing some things that don't quite add up when compared with Bleach.

First the aging guide  says that Bounts age like spiritually aware humans. Only spiritually aware humans don't age any differently than regular humans. Also, bounts can be true immortals in the sense that they can extend their lives and maintain eternal youth so long as they responsibly consume souls.

There is also the issue of the imposed mental state on characters that may be thousands of years old. That type of mental degradation isn't necessarily universal. If a character is emotionless or psychopathic or possesses any other mental traits that makes depression unlikely, then they could like thousands of years without having a single suicidal thought. I think in this instance it's best to make it so that what determines age is historically reflective of the age earned.

Also, I don't believe Fullbringer gain immortality by simply existing in a reishi rich environment. So far as Quincy go, I don't believe it was stated that they gained immortal life due to being in a Reishi rich environment. My money is on Ywach granting them long lives.

That's all for now :ohi see :

To address the main theme of this thread; yes, the aging guide, for example, contains bits of un-canon information, that we have decided to make canon on site. Instead of accidental inconsistencies, they are deliberately placed elaborations on the canon mechanics. For example, there is no such a thing as a "born arrancar" in canon, is there?

The guide says, that High Spec Humans have longer lifespan than regular humans. Bounts share this lifespan, BUT can prolong their lifespan as long as they feed on souls - furthermore, quitting the diet has their effects, as was implied by the creepy old Bount man, whose name I always forget, in canon. True immortality, as I define it, is inability to die - sort of what Aizen accomplished. Prolonging one's lifespan and having eternal youth falls to the broad category of immortality, but as Bounts can die via other means than age, they are not truly immortal. This is my personal perspective, however, but I find it highly logical and reasonable.

Mental degradation isn't necessarily universal, I agree. However, psychopaths make only about 1% of the world's population, according to Google - while I am sure, that some people will simply not be affected by depression due to long life, there's no changing the fact, that an average person eventually would. This is not intended to be a rule, not by any means, but rather a reminder, that immortality, even true immortality, is not absolute against the forces of life and death.

Lastly, I wrote the guide, and I am not sure why it says fullbringers and quincies can become immortal. I will remove it right away, unless someone objects. That must have been my mistake.
