The Canon Timeline: 2,100 Years Ago: Shigekuni Yamamoto founds the "Genji School", later known as Shin'o Academy, the first school for one to study and train to become a shinigami. Kyōraku and Ukitake are among the first to join. 2,000 Years Ago: Yamamoto takes the name, "Genryūsai", when his prodigal student, Chōjirō Sasakibe, scars him on the forehead with his newly acquired bankai. He's his first student to acquire a bankai. 1,000 Years Ago: The Gotei 13 is founded by Genryūsai Yamamoto, but it's nothing more than a violent mob of brutes and murderers; they are feared and respected, but "defenders" only in name. Yachiru Kenpachi and Yamamoto are the only surviving captains, out of the eight original holders of the position. The Quincy Wars occurred some time after the foundation of Gotei 13, and after the war, the organization went through drastic changes and become responsible of guarding the Soul King. The epic battle between Genryūsai and Yhwach occurs in the end of the war. 150 Years Ago: Rukia and Hisana die in the World of Living, in 1851, and are carried to the Soul Society as spirits. 112 Years Ago: Rōjūrō Ōtoribashi becomes the captain of Third Division. 110 Years Ago: Gosuke Kiganjō becomes the captain of Eleventh Division. Kirio Hikifune is promoted to Royal Guard, and Kisuke Urahara takes her position. Gin Ichimaru murders the third seat of Division Five, and assumes his position himself. Mayuri Kurotsuchi becomes the vice-president of SRDI, that is founded by the captain Urahara. 101 Years Ago: The White Incident takes place, resulting in exile of the captains Shinji, Kensei, Rōjūrō, Rabu, Urahara, Yoruichi, and of the vice-captains Mashiro, Lisa, Hiyori, Hachigen, as well as of the kido commander. 55 Years Ago: Byakuya marries Hisana. 50 Years Ago: Hisana dies of an illness. 49 Years Ago: Rukia is adopted into the Kuchiki household. 44 Years Ago: Renji graduates from Shin'o Academy. 20 Years Ago: The Second White Incident occurs, resulting in Isshin Shiba's desertion and marriage to Masaki Kurosaki, whose life he saved. Later on, Ichigo and his siblings are born, while Uryū is born to Katagiri and Ryūken. 9 Years Ago: Toshiro Hitsugaya becomes the captain of Division 10. 6 Years Ago: Auswählen is initiated; Masaki Kurosaki's powers are stolen, resulting in the loss of her quincy powers and her death at hands of Grand Fisher, and Kanae Katagiri falls to a coma and dies three months afterwards. 1st of April, 2001: First day of school in Karakura. Mid May to Mid June, 2001: Rukia arrives in Karakura, and Ichigo becomes a substitute shinigami; he's mentored by Rukia for a month. 17th of June, 2001: Anniversary of Masaki's death. 18th of June to 18th of July, 2001: Ichigo's friends begin to manifest their powers, and learn of the existence of supernatural, as well as of Ichigo's status as a substitute of a shinigami. 19th of July, 2001; Rukia is arrested by Byakuya and Renji. 20th of July, 2001: Last day of school in Karakura. 21th - 31th of July, 2001: Orihime and Sado train with Yoruichi, while Ishida trains by himself; Ichigo is mentored by Urahara. 8th of August, 2001: The friends prepare to enter Soul Society to save Rukia. A time shift takes place, due to Dangai. 1st of August: The group arrives in Soul Society, and attempting to infiltrate Seireitei, Ichigo fights a gate-keeper; their fight is ended by appearance of Ichimaru, who closes the gate and injures the giant. 2nd of August: The group meets the Shiba clan, and is allowed to stay there for the night; Kūkaku Shiba reveals them a way of getting into the city. 3rd of August: After being shot through the barrier, the group is separated. Ichigo, Ganju, Yumichika and Ikkaku clash, while Ishida defeats the gate-keeper's brother and protects Orihime. 4th of August: Ichigo and Renji fight, and Ichigo's hollow powers debute; Byakuya throws his vice-captain to jail for disobedience. 5th of August: Sosuke Aizen is found dead by Momo Hinamori. Ichigo and Kenpachi fight, and later on, Ichigo begins his bankai training. Sado is defeated by Kyoraku, while Ishida beats Mayuri with the price of loosing his powers. 6th of August: Division 11 sides with Ichigo and clashes with Division 7 and 9; Renji and Byakuya clash, while Ichigo is nearing the end of his bankai training. Later, Rukia's execution is interrupted by Ichigo, who fights with Byakuya once again, and the whole Gotei 13 is in crisis, when Aizen's part in all this is revealed. Aizen makes an epic threat, as he departs Soul Society. 13th of August: After having spent a week in Seireitei, Ichigo and his friends return safely to the World of Living. A time shift takes place, due to Dankai. 8th of August: The friends return to Karakura. 13th - 20th of August: The discovery of an alternate universe occurs. 1st of Septemper: The plot begins here. |
