Gwynevere gives a small chuckle. "Oh, don't worry. Many are not religious at all that serve. You'd most likely serve under one of the Paladin branches, focusing on combat missions." She could not see this man at all going on missionaries or spreading the word of the Church. However, he had potential in combat. "I will be training you up and when I think you ready, you'll go on your first Hollow hunt." She takes a moment to finish her water before realizing something. She places down the empty bottle before turning back to the man. "Oh yes, you probably don't know too much about Hollows. They are the souls of humans that have died and for whatever reason, was unable to be sent to the afterlife by a Shinigami. They lose their heart, which becomes the mask covering the face of their beastly forms." There is a more serious tone in her voice as she speaks. "They go around consuming powerful souls to try and fill the void left where their heart was."

He nodded, liking the idea of combat missions more than being a cardinal or baptising children. They fit his... skills.

"So with these Hollow types... Pretty much just fist-fuck their mask? Is it like some video game boss type weakness or some shit?" He was sure it wasn't as easy, especially given the shift in her tone, but he wasn't expecting to really go out and fight them quite yet. He had to learn how to do that psychic fist shit he did against Gwyn, and maybe learn how to use his bow proper and good.

Truly, his phrasing did wonders to amuse her. "Their mask is a weak point if you can break it, yes. However a Hollow will not just let it's mask be destroyed. I haven't the slightest clue what 'video game bosses' are, but the mask is the spot you aim for. Do not worry, you will understand better when you are ready to face one. Until then..." She stands, walking to a nearby bin and tossing her bottle in the garbage. "We will train you up, and see about getting your bow manifested. Feel free to take your time finishing your meal, the guards will escort you out when done. I will send someone with an address for a paid-for hotel room until proper accommodations are made here in the Vatican for you to stay in. I will send someone for you in two days, until then I want you to memorize what you have learned here today. I would stay longer, but I have other matters I must attend to." She gives a small bow before heading out to leave. "It was nice to meet you, Brody."

So Hollows were the big bads in a video game. Dope. Brody could fuck with that and make himself into some badass Hollow killing machine.

When she began to explain how his future in the Quincy organization would work over the next few days, he quickly stuffed his face, standing by the time she finished with just minimal spaghetti sauce on his face. Quickly wiping it off on his now dirty shirt, he held his hand out, but realized that the woman was bowing. Didn't women do the whole curtsy thing? Weird.

He bowed himself, mimicking her movement before coming up quickly with a half-ass salute. "I gotcha' boss lady. I ain't gonna let yous down, I'm gonna be the badass Hollow Killer yous need."
