The city of New York in the current times was perhaps the largest hot-spot for advent human gatherings, or at least the largest hot-spot that contained a large number them. The city brimmed with life under the night sky, the cities array of lights beaming to the heaven's, and the vast amount of people contained clustered among the clubs, bars, and shopping districts. Moisture in the air was present, which sent through a slight breeze that was colder than the temperature itself. The city seemed peaceful yet down bellow Hollow's were lurking in the shadow's waiting to claim lost souls, those of both the living and the dead.

Along the side of a not so busy road yet busy footpath, sat poor young Broly. If it weren't for his large mass the cold air would've surely gotten to him. Leaving very little mercy for those less fortunate to suffer alone in these times of Hollow attacks. His clothes were tattered and torn in some odd places. The fur jacket he wore was tearing at the seems, his pants were burned and tainted with what would seem like battle damage, and his boots fading and about to loose their soles.

Broly's face would be aimed down at the concrete, leaving only the empty eyes of a forgotten soul. A Human who's very existence no longer had a purpose.

It was cold, but Natasha could hardly feel the difference in temperature. Most of her body had become metallic and the rest of her nerves had been damaged in some form or another. Eyes were on her unusual fashion as she wandered down the street. Her sleeves were short and she wore no jacket leaving passerbys to whisper. However, she didn't seem to take notice nor did she seem to take care of their antics. She simply kept walking. To where, she was unsure, but she felt that she should keep going. There were bound to be hollows or perhaps some sort of other danger in this city that she had to fight off. Perhaps, she was being called to save someone from more than just danger.

As Natasha continued down the walkway that slowly began to dwindle with people, she would come to a stop. Just a few paces away seemes to be a human of some sort, but she could tell he was an unusual one. He sat on the ground in worn out clothing in a deafeated position leaving Natasha to become concerned. She had been in that very state before. She had felt despair and he looked as if he was feeling his own type of pain. Slowly, she would walk towards him only to stop directly in front of him and turn to face his sitting body. The woman would kneel to the ground as she would speak to him calmly, "Hey. What's your name? How did you get here?" She wanted to know his story, no matter how blunt she was with her questioning. She wanted to know if she could help him. She couldn't stand to watch another human in such misery, such despair.

Footsteps of a particular stranger stopped moments away from Broly, but he chose to purposefully pay little attention. Perhaps it was another soul like him but instead of providing, was here to steal what little Broly had left to hold onto. The stranger took the time to kneel before Broly, but they wouldn't hurt him nor were they a hollow. Then Broly would hear a voice, "Hey. What's your name? How did you get here?", the voice would ask.

Broly slowly lifted up his sorrowful face, his eye's refusing to shine in the light, and his eye's dull almost to the point of lifelessness. "Family gone... Have no home. Can't remember anything. Only remember anger, fighting the masked ones.", Broly would say with shaken words. His speech seemed simple in nature but his apparent abandonment was all too real. After answering the Stranger, Broly would proceed to again aim his head downwards.

The night air seemed to get colder around the stranger and Broly, perhaps a little too harsh.

Broly's mind was hazy, his memories faded and gone. Only larger details made sense. Yet as he'd noticed the strangers lack of a coat, he himself removed his own. Even if it was tattered and ruined, he would hold it up towards her. Broly however couldn't bring himself to look up, only offering what little he had left as a gesture of kindness.

Natasha would continue to stare at the lone man as he would slowly lift his head to meet her gaze. His eyes were so empty, so cold, and so defeated. He looked as though every last piece of him had fallen into the depths of darkness and lost for eternity. It looked as if he had been so alone for so long that he had lost faith in everything. Natasha would look at him with great worry and concern, especially as he began to speak to her. He spoke about not having family or a home. He was alone and he had been fighting "masked ones". Did he mean hollows? He must have meant hollows. Did they cause this much damage to him? How many were there? What had happened?

His head would once again hang low towards the Earth leaving him in the same defeated state once more. It was unbearable to watch and Natasha's heart seemed to shatter seeing the state his was in. His eyes were so dull and there was no hope left in them. There wasn't a single sparkle, a single hint of light. His eyes were filled with darkness and clothed in a film of sadness. Abandoned and left to the cold. However, even as he sat in the street with nothing left, he would offer Natasha his ripped coat. He was so selfless that it would choke her up for but a moment. She would clear her throat as she fought back the feeling of tears.

The woman would take a breath before speaking to him, "Keep your coat. I'm not bothered by the cold. I can't feel it. You're very kind, you know? I appreciate that you would give up all that you have left for me. I would rather help you, though. I can feed you, we can get you new clothes, and I can even offer you a place to stay. Will you let me?" Natasha's tone seemed calm, but with a hint of desperation in her voice. She had to help him, no matter what.

The woman would not take Broly's gesture and instead would respond to it in words, "Keep your coat. I'm not bothered by the cold. I can't feel it. You're very kind, you know? I appreciate that you would give up all that you have left for me. I would rather help you, though. I can feed you, we can get you new clothes, and I can even offer you a place to stay. Will you let me?", the woman say in a calm manner towards Broly.

Broly would continue to hold his coat up towards the girl until he had heard all of what she had to say. His mouth would open slightly, and a glimpse of light hit the back of his eyes. His head would turn up towards her, and water in his eyes would slowly build into tears. Broly felt a warmth in his heart. A feeling that felt alien to him, which made him respond by placing one of his hands onto his heart. Instead of saving and helping others, had it finally become his turn to be saved?

Broly slowly pulled himself up off of the ground, his strong and sturdy build becoming more prominent. Although he was happy, and joyful tears fell from his eyes he had no smile to show. his face didn't look overly cheerful, more or less still holding a frown. However his demeanour showed off his hope all to well. He proceeded to grab onto one of Natasha Cold hands and hold it up, not noticing all too well that the limb was fake as his attention was placed elsewhere.

"Food?... Clothes?...", would be Broly's simple response to her statement. Tears still bundling and falling from his eyes.

It seemed that what she said had captured his attention in a manner that had his head looking towards her again. However, there was a difference in his eyes. There was a sliver of light that had broken its way through the darkness that had clouded his vision. What she had said gave him hope again giving her the confidence and strength to know she was doing something right. She would watch as his hand connected with his chest directly over where his heart should sit. She began to understand that all he needed was a bit of a push, a hand, and a kind word. The world had been unfairly cruel to him, but Natasha wasn't going to let it take him.

He would finally lift himself from the cold, hard concrete leaving Natasha to come to the realization that he was much bigger than she had expected. He seemed to be almost a whole foot taller and he was certainly very strong. Still, it didn't take away from the joy she was feeling from seeing emotion come back to him. Tears streamed from those once lifeless eyes once again leaving Natasha to fight back her own. His face was still dull, but she could see the overwhelming emotion in his eyes and the way he moved his body.

Without warning he would grab her hand holding it in his own, although he didn't seem to take notice that it wasn't her own. He didn't notice that her limbs matched the temperature of the atmosphere. He didn't seem to notice that she couldn't feel his grasp wrapped around her fingers. He didn't seem to notice that she wasn't completely herself. He didn't notice that she had also been broken. Natasha would smile as he would ask about food and clothes, as her eyes would also well uo with tears. She wouldn't let them fall from her eyes as she would respond, "Yeah. Of course. Let's go get some food first. Does that sound good? You don't have to worry about anything. I'll take care of you." Natasha would continue to smile at him, as she would attempt to gently lead him towards a nearby shop that served the best food in the current area.

"Yeah. Of course. Let's go get some food first. Does that sound good? You don't have to worry about anything. I'll take care of you.", she would say edging him on to follow her lead. Considering his situation, he wasn't exactly one to complain. In fact he probably wouldn't have had a complaint in general. He simply covered himself with his jacket again, and he allowed Natasha to lead his actions down to some type of food establishment. Considering the time of night, it was hard to imagine much was open.

Broly's reading was somewhat slow and off, as his only real seemingly strength was combat although not that Natasha at this point would know. This meant that when they approached the establishment, Broly somewhat didn't really read the name and only saw a glowing food symbol. His actions were slow and cautious as he opened the door to the establishment, try to at all costs not cause any damage. His hands although large and rough were careful with their actions, to which had Broly finally entering.

Broly had seen places like this, however as of his recent conditions hadn't exactly had the best track record of consuming food. Which made his large appearance almost impossible to believe. However, Broly's eyes would stare wide at the array. Broly wasn't exactly sure if any of it was good, which left him somewhat shy. He would gesture at the stranger and then at the food, more or less his response to asking her to get anything for him.

Natasha was glad that he was allowing her to take him away from that cold place on the ground. She was glad that he was trusting her with his care. She was glad that he was finally becoming more cheerful as the duo went forward. She had lead him to a shop that seemed to attract their business from the nearby bars and entertainment. They had a vast variety of foods on their menu, so she figured there would be something this man would be willing to take.

The duo would enter the shop slowly, as Natasha would notice the man was being very cautious with the door. What was that about? She would continue to watch him interact with the emvironment as he took in his surroundings. He seemed as if he was a lost child in a candy shop. He wanted everything in sight, but he had no idea what he was doing. Natasha would smile at him as he would gesture towards her and then back to the food. He seemed to be having trouble communicating and Natasha wondered why that was. However, she would deduct, from what she knew about him currently, that he needed her assistance, so she would oblige.

Natasha would stand next to Broly as they looked over the selection, "Oh. I have an idea for you. I believe you would like seafood." Natasha would smile again as she would walk up to the counter to order the meal. She had ordered a variety of different seafood items to be dlievered to their table along with drinks. However, Natasha not being hungry would simply ask for a glass of water. She would return to him only to suggest the two take a seat and wait for the food to arrive.

Natasha would lead him to a table in the very quiet shopand gesture for him to have a seat. If he did so, Natasha would sit across from him, "I guess I should have told you, My name is Natasha, but you can call me Nat, if you'd like." This time she would lightly smile and wave as she would introduce herself, then she would slowly return to her casual sitting position. "Do you have any questions for me?"

The Stranger had surprisingly understood Broly's strange gestures of food, not that'd he know he wasn't making 100% sense. This led to her responding to his more than inadequate excuse for language. "Oh. I have an idea for you. I believe you would like seafood.", she would say to him smiling. She had seemed to order a large variety of foods and drink, or that's how Broly simplistically viewed it. Some names of the meals were foreign yet he somewhat knew what most of it was. Or at least he'd know what it was when he saw it.

After placing the order, She would make her way back over to the tattered Broly. Feeling the warmth of the establishment, Broly had simply at this point in time just been enjoying the warmth. Yet the even in his overwhelming joy, Broly had a nagging question in the back of his mind. Why?

The Stranger then again proceeded to lead Broly along, this time taking seat within the establishment. Broly would sit down and the Stranger would sit opposite. To which then she would finally introduce herself. "I guess I should have told you, My name is Natasha, but you can call me Nat, if you'd like.", she would say with a slight smile and a small wave before continuing, "Do you have any questions for me?"

Seeing as she had just waved and introduced herself, Broly proceeded to copy her. He raised his hand and proceeded to wave, although it was more like a shake. "My name is...", his sentence would pause momentarily as he explored the reaches of his faded mind. A strange feeling pressed itself in his stomach, almost like butterflies before he continued. "Broly. My name is Broly..."

Broly seemed spaced from reality as he said his name, although he wasn't quite sure why. After that Broly had the need to ask her a genuine question. His Demeanour became serious and his childlike disposition disappeared momentarily. "Why?... Why would you help a stranger, Me?

Mei

Mei
Natasha would listen carefully every moment that Broly spoke obviously noticing the long pause as he attempted to remember his name. Ultimately, it seemed that he had reached his conclusion, but she still didn't understand why he had such prominent memory loss. Then again, she had only met him moments ago meaning she knew next to nothing about him. However, she found it to be fairly easy to read him and at this point in time, he seemed fairly simplistic in his ways. Still, she wasn't expecting the most normal of questions to come from his mouth. Why would she help a stranger?

For a long moment, Natasha would sit across from Broly thinking about what it was she was about to say. Why would she do it? "I guess it's because I know how it feels to need help," Natasha would look at him with a puzzled face as she thought about her next words. "I've been left with nothing, even less than nothing before. You didn't notice, but my hand, even the rest of my arm, they're not real. My legs are the same. I've had my body taken from me and I expected to die. I was helped by strangers. They saved me. They pieced me together and they brought back my hope when I felt like I had none left. Now, I have the means to help others. I want to protect people, help people, and give them hope. Everyone deserves a second chance," Nat would speak vaguely, but if more questions arised from this, she would be inclined to answer them more specifically.

"If you don't mind me asking, Broly, do you remember what happened to you?" Natasha couldn't get the question out of her mind. She wanted to know. He said something about masked ones, but that didn't tell her much informatiom at all. She was intrigued by him and his story. Natasha was all about connecting with people and learning how to better help them. Everyone had a story and every story meant something. Every story had somehow lead them to her, so she felt obligated to get to know how that happened.
