A small smirk had appeared on Vulcan's face when he heard Seji talk about his sister. "I have avoided most of it so far I believe, she's quite .. interesting I'd say." The Vizard had yet to find out more about Kat but he was already aware she and her brother were quite different, at least that's the impression given to him by both encounters. Vulcan continued to listen attentively as the man talked about the relationship between his father and the current Captain-Commander. "Friends fight, then they make up. But sometimes the gap between two people simply gets too big. That's life, I suppose." He wasn't all too sure what to say at this point, but at least it was better than simply keeping his mouth shut.

Similar to the falling out between Ika and this so called Captain-Commander it seemed that Seji disagreed with his father on more things than one. "Hm, shit happens. It's as simple as that. But at the end of the day he's still your family, you're still his son. A bond as special as that isn't that easy to break, no matter how far you have driven from each other. But what would I know? I'm simply on my own." In the meantime Vulcan noticed his female companion listening in from a distance, a woman's curiosity was a peculiar thing after all. Once again the Vizard would pry, hoping to find out more. "I assume these things have something to do with the races and how they get along with each other?"

Seiji let out a sputter, then began to laugh at Vulcan's words. "Still my father? No. That is simply the name he has been given due to our blood relation. That man-" Seiji stood suddenly, the movement graceful, cat-like, and utterly predatory as he stared daggers into Vulcan's eyes. "-Is a disgrace of a father. He's the reason my mother rotted away. He's the reason my half-sister suffered years of abuse at the hands of her mother. No. DO NOT attempt to rationalize him in any way, do i make myself clear?" And just like that, Seiji seemed to fade back into sleepiness, leaning against a fence and crossing his arms before yawning. It was disturbing how Seiji could flip a switch inside of him on and off like that. Offering the Vizard an easy smile like he hadn't just snapped at him.

It seemed Vulcan touched the wrong buttons as Seiji suddenly snapped and his personality changed before returning back to his original state of laziness. "I didn't think you had it in you to be honest. At least now I know who to mention if I want to get you all riled up" the Vizard would say as he smirked. He couldn't help but notice to wonder if Kat was his sister, or half-sister. Not that it mattered, he was sure Seiji would love her still the same. "And how does your sister feel about all of this? Does she share the same feelings towards Ika as you do? I can imagine it hurts her to see her brother and father fight." So far Vulcan didn't really have the opportunity to discuss family business with either Ika nor Kat, so he figured he might as well ask the Captain in front of him, unless he'd fall asleep before he could do so.

"Eh... I'm not sure...? It could swing either way..." Seiji yawned and scratched his stomach lazily, eyeing Vulcan with that same I-Don't-Give-A-Flying-Fuck gaze he'd had pretty much the whole time, save for the one moment when he'd snapped. "My sister has always been... unstable. On one hand, she craves my father's approval... But on the other, their relationship isn't that great either... Honestly though, she's a good person at heart... Don't let her edgy goth teen look fool you." Seiji shrugged nonchalantly and pointed at Vulcan. "What about you, huh? Got any family you left behind in the Seireitei...?"

Vulcan had to chuckle for a moment upon hearing Seiji's question. "Family? No, I'm on my own, always have been. And I doubt anyone is looking for me, but I prefer it that way." For as long as he could remember the Vizard had spend most of his time by himself. No loved ones, a couple of friends here and there but never really finding a place he belonged. Or so he told the captain. "As I said, I enjoy my peace and quiet." Not that he didn't like to be around others, more that he wasn't used to it anymore after being on his own for so long. 

"I suppose a family has it perks, but listening to you showed me it also has his downsides. Regardless, I would still do anything in my power to protect them but I guess the only person left for me to protect is your sister. Although I doubt she'll need it." It was said with a smile cause in what world would an Espada need a simple Fraccion like himself.
