This sinner was proving to be stranger than the High Inquisitor could have imagined, how could he have expected a debate about philosophy and world views? Perhaps it was the creatures attempt at a trick, to divide his attention and perhaps skulk away, perhaps even attempt an attack. By now though, he had to realize there was little he could do without the Quincy allowing it. The gulf between them was simply too great for that to be considered a possibility.

"Indeed, people like me. It is not merely my power but my drive that sets me apart." Though he would nearly scoff at this assessment of his strength. "So you deny strength in unity? How interesting." He felt there was no need to follow up further on this particular topic.

"Just because the starting line is beyond your reach, does not mean it doesn't exist" A simple rebuttal, but surely a reasonable one. Excluding oneself from such a challenge did not preclude loss. Instead it made one ineligible from ever winning. Becoming stagnant and unchanging meant there was no room to grow and achieve. The quincy couldn't help but smirk at the verse being used as evidence. "I was not accusing you of some theological form of impurity or corruption. I was stating fact. A soul excluded from the cycle due to misdeeds in life. Not some arbitrary concept of mankind's sin, but true evil punished for eternity."

"No self respecting Catholic would deny their sin, and neither shall I. Do you expect me to claim purity? I do not intend on bringing about world peace. I intend on protecting this world at all costs" His vision narrows for a moment. "And that will begin when I find those responsible for these recent attacks. I will fill your mountains with the dead. Your hills, your valleys, and your ravines will be filled with people slaughtered by the sword. I will make you desolate forever. Your cities will never be rebuilt." He paused, allowing the sinner to contemplate what he had just heard, a confirmation of retribution.

"Oh, oh, there he is, there he is..." The Sinner would utter excitedly, clapping his hands, only to point a finger at the Quincy. "For a man who follows the word of god to contemplate that much destruction and hate...ain't that something." Smirking, Geralt would stand up as he would walk towards Viktor, slowly. He would raise both of his hands up to his chest level as he walked towards him, showing the fellow that he meant no harm. While the White Wolf felt like it was a vomit-inducing act, Geralt would put his ego aside, not wanting to increase the Quincy's already heightened paranoia. "You know something? Now that I'm standing next to you I just realized... there's a bit of blue in the green eyes of yours." Locking his eyes with Viktor's, Geralt would utter in low-tone. "How nice to find a flaw."

Taking two steps back, the sinner would run his hand through his white hair, putting the loose string of hair back in place, before speaking, "the thing about retribution is that there is no satisfaction in it unless the offender has time to realize who it is that strikes them, and why retribution has come upon them." The Quincy wanted to provide symmetry in the form of retribution. The rendering of payments for the crimes against the weak and the innocent. But, the thing is, for a man like Viktor to even consider such, there needed to be some form of hate that lingered inside of him. Maybe the Sinner and the Quincy were not so much different after all. Maybe.

"You and I aren't that much different at all, Fella. You've told me how you would fill mountains, hills, alleys with the dead. While that is an impressive feat all by its own, I got to say, even for someone like me that's cold." Narrowing his eyes, Geralt would click his tongue, only to continue, "you kill those who you see as enemies of the church and this world. I-" His two thumbs extended, the Sinner pointed towards his chest, continuing, "I kill those, well, I don't like. Or when I feel like it." Shrugging, he paused, "but - this is a big fucking but - I give them a fighting chance first." Taking a coin out his pocket and placing it on top of his right thumb, the Sinner would flick it up. Catching it with his left-hand Geralt would hold the coin up for Viktor to see, "the only morality in a twisted world like this is chance, fella. Unbiased, unprejudiced... fair."

It seemed that Geralt had missed the Quincy's own bible verse, though it didn't matter, it got the point across at what he planned to do to the city the sinner's inhabited. He felt not an ounce of pity, seeing as these creatures were judged to be beyond redemption by the cycle. Destroying them was going to be a mercy if anything. Either they were finally granted to absolution of oblivion or they were simply sent back to the pit to live out the remainder of their un-life. He didn't seem to react to the sinner approaching, apparently finding a 'flaw' of a kind. All he could tell so far is the sinner was under the impression that Viktor saw himself as incorruptible, or saintlike. Far from the truth, even if he didn't know the reason why.

"I do not seek satisfaction, only to protect this world. If your kind had decided to stay where they belonged this wouldn't need to happen" He was sure there would be something that Geralt would disagree with but he wasn't going to be shaken on this thought. "I find no reason to hate the Sinners, if anything I pity them for their failures in life, or death." Straight forward enough, and truthful, regardless of if Geralt would accept his statement or not. At this point the whole conversation was getting tiresome. It would be a simple thing to deal with, regardless of if the Sinner knew it or not.

"We are nothing alike then" He glanced at the coin for a moment at what Geralt might be suggesting here. "How cliche, though in the case I'm sure you realize you'd be flipping on a chance for yourself. The only outcome that doesn't end up with you being sent right back to hell is leaving this place immediately." If the sinner wanted to leave his own well-being up to chance, so be it. The gulf in power between them was going to be too great for anything else.

The sinner would raise a single eyebrow, not sure what the Quincy was actually implying. Was Viktor under the notion that Geralt was trying to duel him? If so, the man would be very wrong. The sinner might be crazy but he was no idiot. He knew the power disparity between them was a little too high for his liking. Also, Geralt had no intention of attacking the man in whatsoever manner. He may disagree with certain aspects of the man's views and opinions but that was hardly a reason to attack the fellow. Contrary to popular belief, Geralt had some control over of his second personality; the White Wolf. Which prevented him from killing everyone in his sight like some cliche villain like in the movies.

Geralt's dark yellow hues would stare at the man for a few seconds, before scoffing. "Yeah...maybe." He would spout turning his view towards the axe only to grab it using his right hand to place it on his shoulder. Starting to make pace Geralt would walk, only to make a sudden halt beside the High Inquisitor. "It is a shame though. We could have been friends if you weren't so caught up with this nonsensical bullshite that honestly isn't going to mean jack by the end of the day." Side eyeing the man, the sinner spoke in a tone that almost felt sorry. "Maybe we'll get the chance when you eventually end up in Hell. Until then..." Grinning, the sinner would start walking forwards, whistling a tune of his liking. Geralt would not get far, of course, as a portal with flaming edges would envelop him as he would return back to Hell. For now.

Viktor didn't care for whatever this man was touting, particularly when it came to friendship. Geralt was corrupted to the core, there were no mistakes when it came to the damned in this sense. He was sent to hell for a reason, and regardless of how he argued for his innocence it made no difference to the Quincy. Perhaps he was more agreeable than most of his ilk, but that hardly mattered when he had been judged by the soul cycle as he had. Regardless, it seemed that there was to be no fighting today, as the Sinner had decided to back off. Smart of him really, and lucky for Viktor as even though he overpowered this man there was no telling just how destructive a battle to the death between them could have been.

"You live through your sentence and perhaps, when you are judged to have atoned for your misdeeds, only then might you have a chance" He answered flatly, ignoring the jab. He was right though, his bloodline was guilty of one of the most heinous sins, perhaps at the end of his days he too would walk to pits of hell to atone. But that wasn't now, and if all went to plan it wouldn't be for some time. However, he decided to give the sinner one last piece of advice before he stepped through. "I would avoid Babylon for the time being. Because we may cross blades sooner than you expect" The portal closed and his city was safe once more...

He had more information, everything he had read in those ancient tomes had been right. So it seemed his plan could truly come to pass after all. There was just a few things that he needed to sort through before he set it all into motion.
