The punches struck home with hardly any resistance and the slash was overpowered quite effortlessly. Tataki flew back, having been bashed and thrashed. He could keep his footing after the blow to the chest, but when that shadow claw overwhelmed his own quick slash he was thrown back a few steps and on his back. Tataki moved a hand to his chest, where that final punch had crashed into his body. That hurt. Tataki gasped, taking a long blink as he tried to ignore the punch to pure bone and ribs.
On the ground, without a weapon, each and everyone of the bala aimed for him would hit but one which was a few feet shy of crashing. Tataki would be slammed into the ground, as the mighty waves of force came thrashing forward with the full intent of crushing him. Blow for blow, the ground quaked and cracked and the wounds at his chest splintered into breaks. Broken ribs and pain in every muscle in his body was all that Tataki felt as the pulsing pain engulfed him and caused him to see white and black. His vision was gone, his mind light and unfocused a moment, as he was on the border of losing and maintaining consciousness.
It was like all of gravity became Tataki's enemy. It mercilessly rammed him, showing no sign that it cared that he'd been punched in the chest twice or that there was nothing but the hard, cold, unwelcoming ground under him. Smashed between the hard floor and those rapidly fired Bala, Tataki recived ample payment for taking the Shadow Tiger's eye.
"Are you alright Tataki?, I was sent to help, if thats okay with you..."
Words. They were from somewhere. Tataki shook his head, his dull eyes fluttering and regaining energy. Tataki was on his back, his Zanpakuto dropped a yard to his left, and his uniform at his chest looked slightly torn and it was dirty. Tataki opened his mouth, but could only cough at first. Each cough sent razors of pain and torture running through his chest and, what felt like, his heart.
"I am-" The words were weak, lacking any energy or even thought behind them. Tataki didn't know what to say after that. It was like he couldn't express what he was going through and, even if he could, state what he wanted to say about this situation. What do I say? I can't think...Ugh. I have to-I have to get up, The thoughts were powerful, commanding him to sit up.
Sitting up was probably a mistake. As Tataki moved to a sitting position, his legs laid out flat, he flinched. He moved a hand to his chest, the pain apparent in his eyes. "Urg...Urk..Uhh...." he grunted, trying to find some, any, to think of what he had to do. Tataki looked at the Shadow Tiger. Strong, quick, and had various abilities, however...He was still outnumbered and he wasn't perfect. The fact that he lost his eye gave that away.
I can't just quit. Not here. This guy...A thing like him will just cause more suffering. Even if we bearly manage it, we have to make him retreat or wound him to the point that he'll just go home. Gotta do something. But, I don't think they are all that much stronger than I am, Sweating, tightly gripping his painful chest, Tataki's eye looked over at Noba carefully. Almost like he were looking for something that Noba was carrying.
Tataki's eyes, weakly, looked over at the Shadow Tiger. He was dealing with a number of attacks himself, but that wouldn't hold him off forever. Before he would have started his next attack, Tataki realized what he had to do. I got his eye. That won't open again...But that is also an opening. I'll make him quit this attack. I will have too, Plan made in an instant, Tataki knew exactly what he had to do.
"I need-" Trembling, moving slow, and grunting in pain, the young Shinigami forced himself to stand. He was really pushing himself, but he could fight as he was. A few broken ribs, though painful and an annoyance, wouldn't stop him from fighting. "To get closer and for him to get slower..." Tataki said that low, so that only Noba would hear. Xen'Zel was there, and Tataki knew that, but Xen'Zel was further away and engaged with Kido and his own abilities. Tataki only had Noba at the moment to work together with with Xen'Zel pretty much acting however he wanted. Tataki had an idea, but he would need Noba's help and he needed Noba to figure all this out without Tataki saying much more than he already had.
