D'gerik Blackheart

D'gerik Blackheart

Who are you?

Name: D'gerik Schrödinger
Alias: D'gerik Blackheart
Age: 237
Age of Appearance: 18 (the age of his death)
Gender: Male
Race/Species: Arrancar Species; Human (Serpentine appearance)
Character Alignment: Neutral/Evil.

Appearance: D'gerik is incredibly tall for his age of appearance (About 19), due to his German descent in life, standing at a little under two and a half meters (6'11'' to be precise). Although he is very slender, his height combined with high muscle mass bring his weight up to approximately ninety kilograms. Aside from height and general build, it may be noted that his skin is a pale almost grayish tone, that seems to glisten slightly in the light. He appears to have some muscle mass, despite how slender he is, comparable to an Olympic gymnast. Despite this, he isn't the strongest by far when compared to others and it sometimes shows in his physique as his muscles are not as built as his colleagues.

Despite the fact that he is neither blind now, nor was he in life (He actually had normal 20/20 vision), they are a cloudy blue-ish grey, similar to the way humans appear when they have cataracts. Additionally, from the moment his hair first began to grow as an infant, it was not silver, nor a dark colour, as was common, but rather a pure white. Additionally, it reaches down just to his shoulders, and his bangs fall down over his face, most of the time covering one of his eyes. Together with his eyes, he drew the attention of quite a few girls in his life, probably would have been able to find the girl of his dreams had he not died before that.

Clothes-wise he sports a white jacket with gold trims at the collar, a hakama, and a black sash. Additionally his jacket is decorated with what looks like a gold-trimmed suspender (Although it is half of a sash carefully sown into the fabric of the jacket) over his left shoulder. On it, many thick strands of black cloth laced with beads in regular intervals. Personality-wise, D'gerik is what the living tend to call "Clinically insane", although the way he dresses and acts does not reflect this. Instead he seems to dress quite formally and behaves like a proper gentleman.

His face gives the impression of a kind man at first glance. His complexion is very gentle, almost feminine in a way, but still visibly masculine.  His nose isn't flat, but it doesn't protrude either. Although, because of the vertical length of his head, it stands around half an inch below his eyes, instead of right between them. His eyebrows aren't thick. Rather, if they were any thinner, they could be mistaken for those of a female. Other than that, only two other things about D'gerik truly stand out the most. (Those being his hair and eyes)

Style/Clothing: Sporting an outfit almost identical to the Canon uniform of Aizen's Espada, D'gerik wears A white Jacket, a White Sash instead of a black one, a White Hakama, White Tabi (again, instead of Black) and White Zōri. A difference in comparison is that his clothing all have a black trim, and he sports a rounded, black shoulder-pad connected around his body by black threads decorated with black prayer beads. The pad itself also contains a gold trim around its edge.

Tattoo's/Scars/Etc: The number 1792 is tattooed on his back.

Personality: "Why, there is nothing I enjoy more than a nice, quite walk in the evening. Calms the nerves, and cures the occasional headache after dealing with all the meaningless rabble of the day..." -D'gerik Blackheart

In normal situations, he behaves the complete opposite of how he really is. Always acting like a proper gentleman, he'll open doors for people, he'll bow respectfully at his elders, you might think he is just a normal person. How wrong would you truly be. . .His conversations will drag out as any normal conversation would. His speech would be flawless, sounding like a true scholar, making few mistakes in either grammar or syntax, and correcting any that he may have made almost instantly. Funnily enough, he's developed a sweet tooth over the years, and became infatuated with a treat known as Sea-Salt Ice-Cream. Why Sea-salt Ice-cream? Perhaps a way of reverting to the adolescence he never got to live?. . . No, that's not it. You see, D'gerik had gone through a terrible tragedy at the time of his death, the loss of his lover through torture. He had her memories of their time together practically etched into his skull. It so happens her favorite treat was, you guessed it, Sea-salt Ice-cream. Despite this, it's still odd, given that in life, D'gerik never enjoyed sweets. Quite the opposite, he deeply detested them. Funny, how one event is enough to change a man forever. . .

Deep down, D'gerik is a sociopath, changed by everything he had experienced in both life and death. He once didn't care at all about you, your family, your friends, your neighbors, or anyone you know. Now however, that has all changed, perhaps for the better. Whilst it's still difficult for him to build an attachment to anything or anybody, he can now build that attachment, feels that allowing a life to be lost needlessly would be a worse personal crime than taking a life himself.

Years of beatings and agonizing torture have taught the young arrancar to be observant, to trust no one whilst at the same time making as many allies as he possibly could. This makes D'gerik a bit of an oddball. Socially, he's very awkward, having perfect mannerisms and speech, but not knowing the ever graceful art of subtlety. In fact, it's more certain that D'gerik will insult you by mistake, when all he intended to do was point out what he saw as truth.

D'gerik enjoys peace and relaxation at times, after all, even he needs a break from everything at some point, although any play-time he can get within any of his "breaks" are more than welcome in his opinion. His favorite activity for relaxation usually consists of a solitary walk in the world of the living. This helps him remember what he is, who his enemies are, and why he does what he does. He had once been completely and utterly infatuated with pain, violence, and murder - going as far as to spend two-hundred years murdering the same family over and over just for the pleasure and petty vengeance. However, he has come to abhor fighting without need. D'gerik will not strike first, EVER. You can insult his every being, you can put your own sword in his hand against your own neck, he will not strike. He believes that there should be no reason to fight if the only goal is the loss of life, and would instead fight only if it meant defending his own life, or the life of someone he's come to care about.

As a quirk to his personality, D'gerik is haunted by the memories of his past life and his long since dead lover, Diana. Bringing up his past is like asking a veteran about a war he participated in, but in the most vague ways possible. He might start speaking in riddles, or even show his distaste for his past whilst not speaking a word! And if you tease him with his past after having started a fight with him, you will find he loses his leniency. D'gerik will do everything in his power to make you pay for insulting his lover, or calling him weak, or anything of the sort. He seems to stop holding back whenever he's angry, but will take determination and quite the creative mind to strike a nerve hard enough for that to happen.

(For Likes, Dislikes, Ambitions, etc, go for 1-3 sentences per point, more if you wish.)

Likes and Strengths:

• Sea Salt Ice-Cream; Yes, I wrote that. D'gerik has a powerful sweet-tooth - one of his few ties left to his humanity. One of the treats that have won D'gerik's purest desires is Sea Salt Ice-Cream. Because of this, he tends to carry some with him often, and obtains some whenever he possibly can.
• Time Alone; D'gerik spent so much of his time hunting down those who had wronged him in life just to torture them, that he never really got any time of his own. D'gerik has never been against the idea of spending some time on his own just to cool off.
• Perceptive; D'gerik isn't the type of Hollow to blindly jump in on his opponent. He knows better than to fight an opponent he knows he is unable to beat and would much rather retreat and live to fight another day if he must.
• Friends; D'gerik has never hated others - despite not really "liking" them either. He is actually quite amiable, and would never mind making a friend rather than an enemy out of you!
• Courtesy; D'gerik doesn't behave the way he does for the sake of doing so. He had never really lost his sense of courtesy, brought to him by the teachings of his living family - namely his mother.
• Indifference; There isn't really such a thing as a love/hate relationship(s) with D'gerik. Instead, knowing D'gerik means either he doesn't hate you, or doesn't think you're worth saving if you get caught in a fatal situation.

Dislikes, Fears and Weaknesses:

• Indifference; The same way his indifference is a strength, it can also be a powerful weakness. Not everyone enjoys being around someone who might decide to kill you for fun (even though he wouldn't).
• Dislikes fighting; D'gerik used to be infatuated with battle. He spent well over 200 years brutally murdering the members of the same family year after year, leaving them only enough time to reproduce and not die out altogether. However, D'gerik eventually realized its pointlessness, choosing instead to reject battle whenever possible. This, of course, means he is the reluctant one when a fight must happen, leaving him more on the defensive than the offensive at times.
• Easy to lose himself; D'gerik's past still haunts him to this day. He has the terrible tendency to lose himself in thought whenever it is brought up. Similarly, if taunted sufficiently with his past, D'gerik can and will revert to his past desire to murder and maim, only to be filled with regret later on.
• Masochistic; D'gerik came to feel that pain is nothing more than a means of knowing he's alive. Being such, he often injures himself to ensure the same.
• Sociopathic behavior; Perhaps a weakness in personality more than anything, D'gerik is - at heart - a sociopath. This means he truly feels no remorse for his kills, his actions, whether he makes someone happy, or if he hurts someone. However, this can change in a fraction of a second. These shifts in personality often cause people to see D'gerik as a liability or a dangerous wild-card.

Ambitions/Dreams/Goals:

• Unlocking his full potential; D'gerik, like every other being of power in this universe, deeply desires to unlock his fullest power, to ensure that his life will continue happily and without a second interruption.
• To be rid of his past; D'gerik, as previously mentioned, is still haunted by his past. He hates this, and wants it gone.
• Reuniting with his love; In life, everything he loved was taken from him, including his lover. D'gerik knows it's most likely impossible, but dreams deeply to reunite with his only lover, Diana.

Aspect of Death: Agony

Battle Specs

List of 'Auto-Known' Skills:

Fighting Style: D'gerik is an incredibly balanced fighter, capable of fighting from a myriad of ranges. At close range, however, D'gerik is a trained specialist of the Chinese Martial Art of Wushu. D'gerik is not the strongest arrancar by a long shot. However, he learned to make up for this via the use of his unnatural speed. Wushu is an art that revolves around full rotations of the arm in order to bring down the blade with maximum efficiency - D'gerik has developed his fighting style around this, spinning his Nodachi (which has been weighted at it's front, making it near impossible to wield without that specific fighting stance) over the span of his entire body to bring it down with massive amounts of force. Defensively, he's just as capable, albeit reliant again on his speed rather than his Hierro, which is considerably weaker in comparison to other arrancar.

Personal Abilities:

(Personal abilities are special powers unique to your character, such as being able to put your enemies into an illusion trance by touching them, or being able to turn your energy into solid dirt permanently. These are traits your character was either born with or attained through special circumstances. They cannot be taught to or learned by others. Examples would be fire elemental reiatsu, unnaturally sharp reiatsu sensing, and genetic mutations.) Non-Arrancar Limit: 2 Arrancar Limit: 3

Name: Venom Reiatsu*
Effect: D'gerik's agonizing past melded into his natural Reiryoku, causing it to emit as a poisonous aura which causes pain which increases further and further until the victim can no longer move. However, this poison cannot kill, and can only be absorbed through open injuries or direct hits from a Bala or Cero fired by D'gerik.
The afflicted area's increases in pain vary greatly depending on the strength of his opponent. However it will continue increasing the longer one is exposed.

Opponent is Two+ Tiers Lower: The opponent has approximately 20 posts before the pain becomes far too much to bare.
Opponent is One+ Tiers Lower: The opponent has approximately 30 posts before the pain becomes far too much to bare.
Opponent is Equal Tier: The opponent has approximately 40 posts before the pain becomes far too much to bare.
Opponent is One+ Tiers Higher: The opponent has approximately 55 posts before the pain becomes far too much to bare.
Opponent is Two+ Tiers Higher: The opponent has approximately 70 posts before the pain becomes far too much to bare.

The post count applies to each individual injury separately, and is different when Bala are involved as stated in the lower ability.

General Techniques:

(These are moves your character was taught or trained and developed on their own. They are things anyone would be able to learn and perform unless they are dependent on your unique race or abilities. Examples are custom shunpo variations, hakuda/zanjutsu techniques, and using your reiatsu on an object to simulate telekinesis.) Limit 5 (Arrancar have 2 for unarmed/cero based, 3 for sealed weapon based.)

Technique Name: Unique Bala; Infinitas
Technique Description: D'gerik charges up the energy required to fire a fully powered Cero (See charging time for a cero, then add one more post = 2 posts). At which point, he will split the energy into a massive multitude of Bala that are promptly aimed and fired with extreme speed but decreased accuracy towards his opponent. (100-500+ projectiles, depending on the amount of energy used.)
Cooldown; 3-6 posts

Technique Effect Chart:

*The effect chart is for damage, durability, or any other after effect of a technique. The damage/effect/etc will be based off of tiers.*

Opponent is Two+ Tiers Lower: Strong bruising, burns and light injury is certain, the pain caused by D'gerik's Reiatsu is incredible, and two or three direct hits to the same place could easily disable that section of the body from the amount of pain the person would be feeling.
Opponent is One Tier Lower: Bruising, burns and perhaps light injury are a possibility. D'gerik's Reiatsu is guaranteed to seep in, and will cause strong pain to the area of impact, increasingly so the more projectiles that hit the same place. It would take five to six direct hits to the same place to disable it from the pain.
Opponent is Equal Tier: Light bruising and burns may occur. D'gerik's Reiatsu can seep in, causing increasing pain, multiplied by the amount of projectiles that hit the same place. A multiple of ten or more direct hits to the same location is required to cause a disabling from the pain.
Opponent is One Tier Higher: Light burns may occur. D'gerik's Reiatsu would have difficulty seeping in, requiring dozens upon dozens of direct hits to the same place to disable the location of impact from the pain.
Opponent is Two+ Tiers Higher: Light burns may occur, D'gerik's Reiatsu may only barely seep in, the pain would feel like an extremely light ache such as the itch of a small cut on one's arm. D'gerik would need to land more than half his projectiles to the same location of impact to disable from the pain.

Technique Name: Chains of Agony
Technique Description: Cooldown: 4 posts
For the next 3 posts, D'gerik takes hold of the chains at the end of his blade, increasing his range by five feet - as well as giving D'gerik the benefits of having a chained weapon in terms of fighting style. D'gerik's fighting style changes as though he were fighting with two conjoined Hook Swords instead of a single blade.

*The following applies only to Non-Arrancar Hollows, otherwise delete*

*The following applies only to Arrancar, otherwise delete*

Zanpakutou/Ressurrecion

Zanpakutou Type: D'gerik's Zanpakuto releases into a scythe with a fan of blades connected to the main blade. The scythe is attached by a much, much longer set of chains which rest within the bone gauntlet that encases d'gerik's arm. However these chains go into the scythe and back out to meet the fan of blades.
Zanpakutou Appearance: In it's sealed state, D'gerik's Zanpakuto is a rather large Nodachi, a Katana that reaches over 5 feet in length. This is mostly due to the need to compensate for his height. Additionally, the sword's hilt is ended with a five foot length of chains.
Ressurrecion Name: Ouroboros
Ressurrecion Representation: Ouroboros directly represents D'gerik's unending agony, cutting apart whilst keeping you alive for as long as possible until it finally decides to let you die.

Ressurrecion Element: Poison, Darkness
Ressurrecion Appearance: As previously noted, D'gerik's Resurrección represents his eternal agony, and shows in every single detail. Firstly, his weapon. D'gerik's Nodachi becomes a three meter long half moon Scythe (A scythe who's blade arks all the way down to half it's length). Chains connect the fan of four blades that jacket the main blade to the weapon's shaft. Another set of chains connects the lowermost end of the weapon's shaft to D'gerik's arm, which has now been encased in a skeletal gauntlet.

D'gerik's clothing have become a full, pure black color, the aforementioned gauntlet seems to have torn his jacket, which lays open over the left half of his body. This reveals his now completed mask fragment, the full lower jaw of a serpent, connecting further to the gauntlet of bone encasing his arm with the chains leading up to his shoulder.

D'gerik's flesh would have also changed. From skin that was already pale and almost reflective, D'gerik's skin would seem to have become almost like scales - like those of a white snake. . . This is the case for the entirety of his body.

Ressurrecion Ability: D'gerik's Venom Reiatsu gains hallucinogenic and semi-physical properties. It causes its victims to see torturous memories of their deepest regrets. These visions, should they not be resisted, would feel incredibly real, increasing in pain as the Reiatsu itself normally would. Physically speaking, the aura becomes more tangible. It is a deep black color, which gives the illusion that D'gerik's feet have disappeared and, if strong enough, can shroud him slightly within the distance he spreads it out to.

Ressurrrecion Techniques: (These are techniques available only in Ressurrecion. Limit 6)

Technique Name: Chained Scythe Blades
Technique Description:
Cooldown; 3 posts
Charge time; 2 posts
The fan of blades on D'gerik's scythe detach, still connected to the chains. These blades float about and can be individually controlled as though D'gerik held five separate weapons. The chains can only reach different multiples of 10 meters.
The blades reach as follow;
Main Blade - 3 meters
Blade one - 10 meters
Blade two - 20 meters
Blade three - 30 meters
Blade four - 40 meters

Technique Effect Chart:

N/A This technique only separates the blades of D'gerik's scythe, it is otherwise as though D'gerik held multiple weapons.

Technique Name: Venom Scythes
Technique Description:
Cooldown: 5 posts
For the next 5 posts, D'gerik focuses his Reiatsu onto his scythes, shrouding them in the thick spirit energy. Contact from D'gerik's scythes wll have the same effect as if he struck you with his Bala. That is, his reiatsu seeps into his opponent, causing increasing pain dependent on his opponent's ability to resist until they can't feel the limb anymore due to all the pain it's in. The shroud of Reiatsu seems to lengthen the scythes, however this is not the case. Maybe a half inch of any increase at all. The Shroud of Reiatsu can be passed to all five blades in order to synergize with Chained Scythe Blades.

Technique Effect Chart 1:

The effect of contact with his blade is the same as being hit by his Bala. Therefore, See Unique Bala: Infinitas for the effect of the pain.

Technique Effect Chart 2:

In his resurrección, D'gerik's Reiatsu is a hallucinogenic. The effect for the visions are as follows;

Opponent is Two+ Tiers Lower: The hallucinations caused by D'gerik's venom are incredibly realistic, to the point of being able to cause intense bodily harm, however are unable to kill.
Opponent is One Tier Lower: The hallucinations caused by D'gerik's venom are realistic, able to cause intense bodily harm, but not kill.
Opponent is Equal Tier: The hallucinations caused by D'gerik's venom are realistic, able to cause light injury and torture, but not kill.
Opponent is One Tier Higher: The hallucinations caused by D'gerik's venom are realistic, however any injuries they may cause would be minor. Instead, the visions will simply attempt to torture the target with his or her memories of regret.
Opponent is Two+ Tiers Lower: The visions are realistic, but an action such as a sword slicing through would only be felt as a pinch. They would instead rely solely on attempting to torture the target with his or her own memories of regret.

Any and all injuries caused to a target cannot be seen by others and are a result of the hallucinations. Should a hallucination cause dismemberment, the target will feel it as a result of the venom as if his posts have been sped up to meet that requirement. Those surrounding the victim will be unable to experience his pain or any pain caused by any hallucinations that are not their own.

Technique Name: **Bala; Venomous Mines
Technique Description:
Charge time: See Bala; Infinitas
Cooldown: 6 posts
D'gerik's Fires his Bala; Infinitas, but stops the Bala in midair and absorbed into the ground, freezing them and forming a thick minefield of Bala which detonate violently upon making contact.

Technique Effect Chart:

The effects of the mines are identical to being hit by his Bala. Therefore, see Bala; Infinitas and Venom Reiatsu

Tell me your story...

History: D'gerik Schrödinger was the son of a rich German who fell in love with a Japanese commoner. For the first years of his life, he lived as a normal child would. His family was happy, he learned to be a proper boy, his manners were excellent. He loved talking to others, he enjoyed taking solitary walks.

When he was younger, he faced some bully problems in school because of his hair and eyes. "White as snow", is what adults would compare him to. Although his fellow students and other children his age, or even older than he was, didn't much agree. "You're too white, it makes me sick!" "Why don't you play in the sun a little more, you a vampire or something? Ha!" "Your hair is so white too! Why isn't it black like the rest of us?". He would hear all of this, all the time. About his hair, and what was considered normal for his time. . . He grew to detest the color black, for some reason, it wound up unnecessarily being the cause of his childhood torment. But eventually, it was taken care of. He became one of the most popular kids in his class, although he didn't much care for all the attention. Because of his rich father, he typically got everything he ever wanted, and everything that someone could ever want to live a happy life.

At a young 14 years of age, D’gerik hit a slump. Whether it was puberty, or true desire, he felt alone, he yearned for love. But he was afraid . . . for years he had been mocked by men and women alike for his appearance. Who was to say if he searched for love, he would find it? Who is to say he would continue to be happy as he was before? For two more years, he continued to feel like this, becoming more introverted than when his problems first started. Later on, at the start of the fall semester, he met her. . . She was different, as he was. Her hair was white, and her skin dark, in comparison to others in the area. The very first day of class, a group of girls, girls that D’gerik enjoyed referring to as “The shallow b*tches”, surrounded this mystery girl, they teased her about her appearance, and had full intention to cut her hair. Needless to say, this brought D’gerik a feeling of pure ire, something he hadn’t felt in the longest of time.

Every fiber of his being wanted to end, of not at least harm those girls for what they were doing, but he held himself back. He had trouble holding back sometimes. There were moments where he would seriously injure his bullies, and get in a lot of trouble for it. But one day, his literature instructor taught him how to channel that rage into words on paper. He would write, and write, and write; and it helped. . . There were times D'gerik completely forgot what he had gotten mad about. One day, in the 7th grade, he wrote a poem; one that has stayed with him ever since:

"Should I have said that which I said?
Should I have asked that which I asked?
What did it mean when I asked?
What was its purpose?

Is it possible that I have stated a lie?
Is it possible that all I have said is false?
I do not wish to believe it is so,
For I would hate to see you go.

For so long I have kept away.
I have never asked, afraid to say.
But perhaps that time has long passed.
Perhaps it is time to break the fast.

I limited so much,
Using it as an excuse, as a crutch.
I understand what I have done,
No longer shall I run.

'The bird of Hermes is my name, Eating my wings to make me tame.' "

That, however, was not enough to let them continue what they were doing. He pushed himself between them, he yelled, he raged, he channeled all of his fury towards the girls, but did what he thought was the right thing, and refused to harm them in the end. As they ran in fear, he simply watched. . . D’gerik was holding his tears at this point. He knew exactly what this girl was going through, and he hated the thought that anyone else had to go through with it as well.

After his rage had settled, the feeling was soon replaced with a tad of embarrassment as he looked and realized he was holding the girl in his arms. She was looking right at him, blushing, and he could do nothing but stare right back at her. It was almost like a fairy tale, it was love. . . it was at that moment he learned her name: Diana. They would come to be the happiest couple in their school. D’gerik had grown as a man; he wouldn’t let his appearance bother him, and would eventually teach his lover the same. Everything was perfect, for now. . .

Come passing this, he continued to grow. Although he was happy, aspects of him were no longer the same. He couldn't stand people allowing themselves to be bullied, or being made fun of. He couldn't stand anyone that thought there was no such thing as pain, this was weakness, this was something he had grown up with, and he hated it. . . He couldn't stand it. He wished to someday fix the issue. He hated more those who allowed themselves to be bullied than those who bully others themselves. This too, however, would never be the same. . .
Everything changed on the day of his 19th birthday. . . On that day, it had been revealed to his family the hard way that his father had gotten involved with a Yakuza group. He had made a “business proposal” that not only lost the group hundreds of thousands, but also cost the lives of the leader’s two eldest sons. For this, they had decided D’gerik’s family had to pay. They had assaulted his home, one of the men, killing D'gerik's father with a single bullet. The man leading the group seemed angry, he said something about wanting to toy about with the old man for a bit. In the end, they decided to use the only other man in the house: D’gerik. First, they made him watch as his mother was tortured for hours, and eventually killed. Later, that pain would be inflicted onto him. Although he wasn’t close to done, what happens next would change him forever, in both life, and death. . .
The Yakuza had taken him; they wanted his father’s family to suffer, no matter the cost. When D’gerik came to, his eyes met with the last thing he ever wanted to see, his ultimate nightmare; Diana. . . She had been kidnapped, and although he begged and begged, nothing would be changed. First, they cut her hair, then, was the torture, throughout all of which, D’gerik could only watch. . . Finally, they began to tear off her clothes. D’gerik screamed, his fury was close to its limit, he kicked, he used all of his strength, but it was not enough. . . They raped Diana, forced D’gerik to watch. Eventually, they killed her, slowly, and painfully. D’gerik, was no more, he had snapped. Happiness was no longer a feeling within him, all that was left was pain, and agony. . .

D’gerik spent his last 3 months in a hidden facility, where the Yakuza tortured him for what seemed like an eternity, until he finally just gave up, dying from a combination of loss of blood, and will to live.

D'gerik wandered the facility as a ghost, trying only to figure out what it was that killed him, chained to the very source of his unending agony. But the facility having been abandoned after his death, there was nothing there he could use as evidence. Years later, an initiate shinigami had come to take him to the soul society; however, it was already too late. . .

D'gerik had stumbled upon the room of his death, upon his now fetid corpse, coated in blood, and knives that were never removed from his shoulder-blades.

He remembered everything. He relived those three months in a matter of seconds. In his fury, he could think of nothing else but agony; the same as what he felt now. D’gerik remained in this room for days, screaming in agony and pain. All of his memories flooded his very soul, eroding his chains at an elevated pace. Not having expected the quickness of the erosion, the initiate would not make it to his destination in time. Mere moments before the initiate’s arrival, D’gerik would let out one last, agony-infested scream, transforming and becoming a hulking, yet slender hollow. One of his hands had now replaced with the blade of a massive scythe, his lower body had become unmistakably serpentine, and his face now covered by that so very well-known mask of bone. Blinded by his agony, he brought himself to kill the Shinigami, who was sorely unprepared for both the speed of the erosion, and the sheer power that had transformed D’gerik into the monster he had become. Now a hollow, and with nothing standing in his way, D’gerik sought out those who had ended his life to have his excruciating, and painful revenge.

For the next two-hundred years, D'gerik would hunt down the men that ended his family and his life. Some would drown, some would be crushed. But that's not all he did. In his sadistic insanity, those members of the Yakuza that had no families would be allowed to live until they had started one, only to leave their children alive and repeat the process after they had grown. Whole families would be forever cursed to eventual, torturous, agonizing death; but left alive so as to provide a near infinite source of souls to feed upon. Eventually, other, more powerful hollow would come along, regardless of the battles, D'gerik would kill them too.

Fifty years after he had commenced, D'gerik continued to devour the families of the Yakuza, but something else had shown itself deep within; D'gerik hungered for the energy of other hollows. And so he began to as well devour any hollow foolish enough to try to get in on his meal. Hundreds would be devoured over the course of the years. One-Hundred year's passed, 2 whole generations of the yakuza families would be tortured, murdered, and devoured. Thousands of Hollow would follow the same fate. D'gerik would eventually evolve into a menos.
One thing that separated D'gerik from other menos, was that he still hungered for humans, specifically, his hunger was directed to the Yakuza. Bent on making them suffer for as long as he possibly could, he would continue to devour the souls of the humans; and, at one point, would do so whilst also hunting down hollow to devour as well.

One-hundred years later, another menos (an oddly powerful one as well) had become attracted to D'gerik to the point of leaving Hueco Mundo in order to hunt him down. D'gerik's lust for pain, however, would not be defeated even by this. The duel resulted in the extinguishing of 2 of the Yakuza families, leaving only 3 surviving the aftermath. Regardless, D'gerik would devour the menos as well, further evolving from here, becoming an even rarer Adjuchas class menos. This process of brutal, inhuman torture, eventual murder, and consumption of both human and hollow would continue for the next seventy years.
One day, D’gerik would find something that intrigued him. A set of children, almost the entire generation’s worth, that reacted in the most peculiar manner as D’gerik killed their parents; they looked in his direction. There was no mistaking it, those children’s eyes filled with terror were directed not at their parents, as any other child would have simply seen them slowly slice in half vertically before falling over in two, spilling everything they had before their children. No, they looked at him, and he returned that gaze. Although D’gerik did not know what this meant, anyone who had experienced these things before would know that the children were gifted souls. Not only so but, in this particular case, each and every one of them would grow into a full generation of Full-bringers. These children would become the greatest and most difficult hunt of his life as a hollow.
Each child was different in his or her own way. The first child; He was the first for everything. He was born first; he was the first to realize D’gerik was there; he was the first to learn to speak; he was the first to learn about his abilities, to train, and hone them expertly. It was for these things that D’gerik decided. . . He would be the first to go. . . Years would pass; D’gerik would hunt only menos and the hollow that were capable of killing the children. He would challenge menos more powerful than himself in order to hone his abilities further. Many times he would come close to losing, gaining him many a battle scar, and further increasing his lust for battle. D’gerik realized that his pain brought him strength. And with it, he could bring more suffering to those who had wronged him in life.
He became a force feared by lesser hollow, as he chose to consume everything and everyone that could further increase his power. He wanted to make sure that the children realized just how hopeless everything was for them, how his mask symbolized everything their ancestors had done to him and his beloved, and it symbolized how alone he had been all his life, and seemingly would be for eternity. During his quest for power, D'gerik was now the one BEING challenged by many who believed themselves stronger than he, only to be conquered and consumed with minor effort. D'gerik believed he had attained ultimate power at last, but then something curious occurred. A menos, much smaller than he was approached him. He introduced himself only as "A friend", and explained that he came with a proposition. He praised D'gerik's ability almost without end, describing him as one of the most powerful hollow he had ever encountered, and made a request he was certain D'gerik would not refuse.
"Join me," started the hollow "I have been waiting to destroy the king of this retched place for an age now, and finally I've found someone worthy of joining my conquest. Together, we can overthrow him, I take his place, and with you as my right hand Hueco Mundo will bow to us and only us!"

D'gerik stared at the hollow, for a small, small moment, he actually considered the offer. But in the end spoke the following "Those are the words of a madman, and a Tyrant. If you are Truly so powerful, you can do it yourself..."
These words angered the hollow. Truly he was mad with a lust for power to a degree higher than D'gerik. "You know nothing of the strength that belongs to the king..." He started again. "I cannot defeat him without you, but if you won't challenge him with me, I'll just need to take your power for myself!" And without another word, charged at D'gerik. The first mistake D'gerik made in this encounter was blocking instead of dodging, and underestimating the smaller hollow because of his size. His eyes widened as the hollow slammed into him, blasting D'gerik away with power beyond his own, something he hadn't felt for an age. D'gerik felt his motion end as he slammed into a mountain, creating a crater that shook the nearby landscape and destabilized the rock formation. For the first time in year, D'gerik was injured beyond that of a mere scratch. Now began a game of Cat and Mouse, and D'gerik was the mouse. He wasn't sure how far he ran, how many hollow were taken as collateral by the attacks of the incredibly powerful hollow, or just what the extend of that hollow's power was.
Hours of running, blocking blows that were too close for comfort, and Dodging Cero, after Cero, after Cero, D'gerik came to the conclusion that there was only one way that he could defeat this foe; he would have to resort to trickery. At first he tried using the Hollow's momentum against itself, letting the creature pick up full speed before letting him slam into a mountain, but it did little more than bruise him. Next he tried suddenly changing direction in order to get a proper slash at the hollow with his blade, but his opponent was faster and usually dodged or got a better hit in return.
For the first time in hundreds of years, D'gerik was truly desperate, his conviction to destroy those children was second for once. If he lost this battle, then he would once again die alone. The thought was enough to make him desperate. D'gerik began to fire Cero, but not as a strategy, but out of fear.
Fear, he had almost forgotten what it felt like. To feel like nothing you do can save you, like these are your final moments and they would be filled with nothing but pain and solitude. This is what he wanted those children to feel, that which he felt in his final moments, but how would he do this if he fell to this hollow? How...? For once he didn't know... and it angered him, beyond what anything or anyone had ever angered him in the past. D'gerik attempted to turn once more, and managed a slash across the hollow's arm. D'gerik became more aggressive now, which should have gotten him killed, but it was different, this time... The hollow seemed to weaken. Every time D'gerik managed another cut against the hollow, the effect seemed to intensify. Soon, the hollow couldn't move his arms, and he looked like he had been torn apart when all he had were a few small cuts.
"W-what the hell have you done?.." He asked out of sheer anger. "What is this spiritual pressure... i-it hurts.. what are you?!" ... Hours after they had begun, D'gerik's victory was at last attributed to one single cut that he perhaps would have never inflicted had he not remembered why he fought, had he not remembered that he feared the thought of dying alone for a second time...

Fast forward a few years from that moment... The first child was now a 25 year old schoolteacher, he had all but forgotten of D’gerik’s existence. But D’gerik had not forgotten… The boy had married since then, and D’gerik knew this was the perfect way to get to him. “No children. . . But so be it” Thought D’gerik; It was time for his ultimatum to play out at last. The boy was relaxing after a long day’s work, his wife preparing a meal for the two, all seemed calm as a loud crash followed by a loud scream would bring the boy rushing to the kitchen, where he would stare in horror as a hulking, yet slender creature whom he had thought long gone was now back, and seemingly stronger than before.
Years of battle and the consumption of other hollows had allowed him to evolve further. He looked far more human than what the child would be able to remember, smaller, almost his own height... D'gerik had achieved his final form; A Vasto Lorde... What was once a scythe he called a hand was now a quarter moon scythe extended high like a staff in his hand. His other hand was wrapped around the back of the woman’s neck. The boy stared in horror as D’gerik’s scythe grew closer to the woman. D’gerik stared at the boy, barely grazing the woman as he asked;
“What is your name, boy?” to which he simply replied
“Jaden. . . J-jaden Takahara.”
D’gerik gave the boy a maniacal grin from beneath his mask. “Well, Jaden Takahara, do you remember me? “ He asked. Jaden took some time to dig deep into his memories, back to his infancy, back to the day he lost his parents. And slowly, it came back, the sound of his feral growl, the gleam of his dark, menacing scythe, and his mask. . . Oh his terrible, mask, like a serpent, but still a human, eyes that seemed to look directly into your soul.
“Your family took my life from me, Jaden. They took my home, they shot my father, they raped, tortured, and killed my mother and my lover! And finally, they left me for dead, having tortured me for months. . . They left me alone in the dark, with nothing but death to look forward to...” D’gerik explained. Jaden had attempted to reason with the creature, telling him that he wasn’t his father or any of his ancestors; that he and his family had nothing to do with it. But D’gerik was not in the mood for excuses. He shouted at Jaden to be silent, and with one swing, he dismembered the woman’s right arm, then dropped the now profusely bleeding female, placing his scythe just over the center of her back.
“Leave her alone! Please, I beg you!” Jaden cried.
“That’s funny…” responded D’gerik, “Those are the exact words I had used. . .” And with no hesitation, he executed the female, leaving her a mess of gore on the kitchen floor.
Jaden cried out in terror, agony, anger, hatred; he felt everything that D’gerik lived for, everything that he had set out to force the families that took everything from him to feel. It was so perfect in his eyes. Now however, the fun was about to begin… It had not disappeared from his memories that the boy was a fullbringer, and the time had come for D’gerik to find out what Jaden was capable of.
In a fit of pure rage, Jaden lashed out. His abilities were advanced, given how much time he was given to hone himself. At first, he merely threw a punch with inhuman strength. This however was easily evaded. D’gerik tossed the boy aside, through the walls of his kitchen, a blow that would have easily killed any other human. He gave a menacing glare to the boy, his scythe at the ready. But he wanted to feel Jaden’s full power. He burned with an inner desire to feel pain, to be knocked aside by his blows, to make Jaden feel the same way D’gerik felt when all was taken from him.

Suddenly, a smile formed behind his mask. Behind the wreckage and smoke he could feel Jaden’s anger growing, and his power flowing out. He was being cocky, and it could have cost him what little he had. His thought process was interrupted by what he felt looked like a flaming spear flying directly towards him. It would have hit him as well, if not for his speed and reflexes. Instead, it just barely clipped his shoulder
. “Oh my. . . It seems he has some fight in him after all. . .” He knew for certain, the fight had finally begun.
From out of the smoke, Jaden flew out at blinding speeds. He formed a blade, seemingly out of flame, and began to swing at D’gerik wildly.
“Oh come now,” D’gerik stated as he dodged and blocked Jaden’s powerful, rapid strikes.
“-she was just a human. Nay, she was an insignificant insect!” he continued and taunted. He could feel Jaden’s strikes increasing in power and speed as his fury grew larger. It was only when Jaden’s swings grew more powerful that he knew for certain that something was wrong. He was taking hits, just as expected, but more than what Jaden was throwing at him, and not all the wounds burned. But what was it?
Suddenly, he saw it, another weapon; one that did not belong to Jaden! There was someone else on the battlefield. Before he could identify who, however; Jaden would have sent D’gerik flying with a high kick, just below his hollow hole. D’gerik would stand to see that the remaining members of the now ex-yakuza families, the four fullbringers, now stood in front of him.
“You slaughtered our families, took everything from us, now it’s your turn…” They said in unison. D’gerik couldn’t bring himself to move as he was tossed around by their blows and slashes. They made the same promise he made. They wanted to kill him for the same reasons he wanted to kill them.
[“Is this really how it’s going to end?”] D’gerik thought [“Do I really end up losing in the end. . . alone, like before. . ? Mother. . . Diana. . .”]. . .
“No. . . no, no, NO! I REFUSE!” He yelled, Catching the youngest of the children by the leg; using his body to knock the other three away.
“For hundreds of years I have hunted down your families. . . They raped and murdered my mother and my lover. . . And just when I thought they couldn’t do anything more they tortured me until my body could move no more. . . It was my deepest desire to do the same to you. . . to all of you. But now… now I’ve realized that keeping you all alive is pointless… I will be alone from here until the end of time, nothing will bring back my mother, nothing will bring back Diana... I am done. And so I break my ties to your family the only way I know how. . . By finishing what I started!” The three would stare in horror as D’gerik tore the youngling apart with the blade of his scythe. With renewed flame, D’gerik was fighting at his fullest potential now, and it would prove to be too much for the siblings.
The female charged forwards in a fit of rage. She swung an arc of electric energy, only to be sidestepped and swiftly beheaded. D’gerik calmly walked towards the remaining two who decided to fight together. But alas, they stood no chance. The eldest could not prevent D’gerik from slicing his sibling in half before finally moving on to him. D’gerik dismembered Jaden, picked him up, forcing him to stare upon the mutilated bodies of his siblings whilst a scythe was driven into his chest.
Just like that, it was over, there was no one left. The siblings’ souls were his, and the families were exterminated. With a powerful roar, D’gerik announced to all who could possibly hear him of his deed. He felt every part of his body becoming stronger than it once was. He would not evolve again, but still grow stronger, just on the peak of changing one last time. His revenge having been completed, he no longer felt the need to hunt down a family which either way was now fully extinct. However that instinct inside of him remained deep down. He came to fully detest humans, hollow, and Shinigami alike.

Years later, he met with the colleagues of the shinigami he had killed so long ago. They wanted his blood, but D'gerik was not about to stop. The ensuing battle would last hours; both parties would take massive damage. D'gerik's would come to feel a blade just barely slice into his mask. He placed his hand to his face, and for the first time in ages would come to realize it was there. He wasn’t human anymore, he hadn’t been for hundreds of years. He was a monster, he no longer felt anything for humans, Shinigami, or even common hollow. So why did he need the mask? He felt unable to find the answer, so he simply decided he that he really didn’t. He would dig as deep as he possible could, and with all his strength, he would come to at last tear his mask from his face.
The shinigami had never faced something like him, a monster with no feelings, no care for the life of others, and full acceptance that he was no longer anything close to human, and that he was apart from everything. He was alone; an arrancar… They stood no chance. They died slow, agonizing deaths. All D'gerik felt, was his muscle’s movement.

He stood in the room, surrounded by corpses and memories of who he once was. But the man who was once D’gerik Schrödinger, was no more. The last of the Shinigami had told him something before it died; something that would stick with him forever. “Damn you, and your black heart. Curse the beast that made you a reality. . .” Blackheart, this is what would come to replace his name. D'gerik was through with everything. No longer did he feel anything from the sight of blood other than disgust for making a stain, no longer did he feel anything for loss of life that did not affect him. He would, from now, and forever be known, as D’gerik Blackheart......

Rp Sample:
D'gerik stands alone, surrounded by the bodies of the now dead shinigami. A look of malcontent laden across his tired face. When from just behind him, coming through a hole in the ceiling created during the battle, a hooded figure dropped down, allowing his presence to be known only by a slow clap. Despite having noticed the figure, D'gerik took a few moments to react, still relishing the moment in the blood that stained the floors around him.

My, my, that was quite the show. Kekeke. . .

For a moment; a very, very long moment, D'gerik was angry. Who was this fool who glorified the sights of death and destruction, this creature who seemed to be comparing D'gerik to some form of animal without a care in the world? All he knew for sure is that the figure would need to think carefully of his next move, as D'gerik was not afraid to end his miserable existence where he stood.

He turned to the figure. As it approached, D'gerik took a precautionary step backwards. Just who was this, really? He didn't feel like the others, he felt. . . different. D'gerik knew for sure that if a fight were to ensue between the two, he would not come out the victor. That being said, his options were too few. He was tired, never having exerted so much energy in a fight before. He had no choice, however. Having regathered his usual composure, he steadied his breathing, stared the figure in the eyes, and asked;

And might I ask just who you are? Are you one of them? I'll kill you too if I have to. . .

The figure burst out into laughter. As it approached, D'gerik could notice more and more features about him. He had an immense build, strong enough to have torn those shinigami in half if he had gotten to them first. The way he laughed suggested he was well mannered in his speech patterns, but the air around him gave the exact opposite impression. When the figure was close enough, D'gerik could feel his jaw partially drop, noticing a gaping hole, approximately one and a half inches in diameter, on his chest, just about where the diaphragm should be.

Oh no no no, dear boy. Quite the opposite! Incidentally, you seem to have done my work for me. . . Those men were no slouches, color me officially impressed.

D'gerik gave the figure a half annoyed scoff, but inside, he was concerned. No longer was he simply dealing with those who sought to kill him. For now, there was a potentially lethal opponent standing no more than 4 meters away. . . He didn't want to fight, if D'gerik was sure he would lose before, it is even more obvious now. He said his intentions were to kill the shinigami, which gave D'gerik an idea. Intimidation didn't work, so he would try making an ally instead.

They were weak. . . They deserved to die as they did, if not worse. . .

Hmm. . . Well, if it is blood you seek, I know someone who would love to meet you, ke ke ke. . . Come, boy, allow me to show you the path you must take to become everything you ever wanted to be and more. Allow me to show you the path to true power, the path to blood! The path to terror! The path to pure agony for your foes! Allow me to show you the path you were meant to take! Your destiny!!!

It had worked. No longer did it feel as though the man wanted to end D'gerik. Instead, he offered D'gerik a path, one that, after everything that had happened to him, he no longer cared what it led to. He simply stared at the figure. So much had transpired so fast, but still he doubted. He stood there for a moment, contemplating every possible outcome, but there was no answer he found even remotely close to satisfying, or safe, for that matter. All, except for one. And so, simply staring the figure in the eyes, he called out;

Very well then. . .

Notes
*Venom Reiatsu.
-Opponents two tiers or higher can only be afflicted through Bala or Venom Scythes. His natural Reiatsu is deflected by all opponents two tiers or higher.
-Any and ALL injuries caused by hallucinations are just that, hallucinations. The injuries aren't real, rather they are a hallucinogenic manifestation of the Venom Reiatsu taking effect.
-In his released state, the Venom is what causes the hallucinations. The Venom can only be inflicted via open wound. Therefore, standing within range of his Reiatsu will NOT cause hallucinations assuming you are uninjured.

**Bala; Venomous mines.
-D'gerik's bala are the same color as his reiatsu (Purple fused with Black). Therefore it is only logical to conclude that D'gerik's Reiatsu shroud when in his released state makes the Bala near him difficult to see.

Damn! This is an exceptional app, if a little short compared to some others. Your techniques are well put together, and the character is simple yet elegant in it's creation. This character is easily Tier 3-2, and has the potential to dominate at that level. I have no complaints about anything being overpowered, as long as Bala Infinitas has a post count to how long a body part is disabled. That being said, good job!

1. See, that's where I'm having a bit of trouble (The post count for disables) I wrote it the way I did because the odds of getting hit in the same place more than once are already incredibly slim, let alone getting hit five or more times. The disable would come from D'gerik's Venom Reiatsu (Since Bala are essentially solidified Reiatsu), which is an increasing pain becoming more and more to the point where it becomes too much to bare. SO when I say disable, I really mean reaching a threshold of pain akin to having a limb torn off. Any suggestions on how I can change that to better make sense and not be overpowered?

2. This is a re-app, and D'gerik in his earlier days was actually "Recruited" by Dante, meaning that if he joins you, you're gonna have to convince him. Should be easy enough, given how much he hates the b*stard.

Personality: 2-3+

Overall Quality: Decent, although there are parts that seem budged up together, making it look very dense while some parts appear to be repeated like in the appearance section. also, Personality I feel is lacking in the main section, the likes and everything below that is fine, but the main personality section for me it lacking the detal needed for tier 3, if personality is increased more, grade can be given to a tier 3-3 or extra effort will allow for a grading of tier 3-2

Ready for approval: Not yet

one thing is that you don't need the fighting/weakness Attribute as these are template errors, please remove and apologies for the inconvenience ^^; if possible, increase the size of your fighting style section to explain more about D'gerik's style and what his style is for people who don't know Smile

Can you put a post count here on how much someone is affected based on the difference in power, possible include if the target can resist and if so, how much by.

D'gerik wrote:Technique Name: Unique Bala; Infinitas

*The effect chart is for damage, durability, or any other after effect of a technique. The damage/effect/etc will be based off of tiers.*

Opponent is Two+ Tiers Lower: Strong bruising, burns and light injury is certain, the pain caused by D'gerik's Reiatsu is incredible, and two or three direct hits to the same place could easily disable that section of the body.
Opponent is One Tier Lower: Bruising, burns and perhaps light injury are a possibility. D'gerik's Reiatsu is guaranteed to seep in, and will cause strong pain to the area of impact, increasingly so the more projectiles that hit the same place. It would take five to six direct hits to the same place to disable it.
Opponent is Equal Tier: Light bruising and burns may occur. D'gerik's Reiatsu can seep in, causing increasing pain, multiplied by the amount of projectiles that hit the same place. A multiple of ten or more direct hits to the same location is required to cause a disabling.
Opponent is One Tier Higher: Light burns may occur. D'gerik's Reiatsu would have difficulty seeping in, requiring dozens upon dozens of direct hits to the same place to disable the location of impact.
Opponent is Two+ Tiers Higher: Light burns may occur, D'gerik's Reiatsu may only barely seep in, the pain would feel like an extremely light ache such as the itch of a small cut on one's arm. D'gerik would need to land more than half his projectiles to the same location of impact to disable the same.

First thing is that, you've already mentioned in a later post that this technique doesn't disable body parts of the target, but more increases the pain felt in that area, so would you mind editing this to match Smile

and currently, the cero charge would be one post so this would be on a two post count charge, yes? also, please add a suitable cooldown for this tech Smile

D'gerik wrote:...Physically speaking, the aura becomes more tangible. It is a deep black color, which gives the illusion that D'gerik's feet have disappeared and, if strong enough, can shroud him slightly within the distance he spreads it out to...

I'm confused as to what you mean with this, can you explain this to me how this works?

Currently, this needs a bit of work, but if changes were made, I would be happy to give this a tier 3-3 or 3-2 if extra work is put into the other areas of the app like appearance, personality and the other sections besides the rp and history section

1) Added more to his personality to flush it out more.

2) The post count until the pain is too much is MASSIVE, but that's to make up for the fact that despite resisting, a fight with D'gerik is a fight on a countdown.

3) Added the fragment "From the pain" to detail that it isn't a pure disable, but rather that the pain becomes such that you wouldn't be able to move.

4) is a cooldown of 3-6 posts enough?

5) What I meant by that is that his Reiatsu becomes visible like a thick cloud of mist which shrouds him.

Ok, I see, well, going over the app again, seeing that all changes were made, I would be willing to make it tier 3-3, I'm don't know if I feel its good enough for tier 3-2, but I'm going to feel bad if I don't. But I have to say that I would approve this at a solid tier 3-3 ^^

Everything looks good to me, but I'll let Fauna have final say since he still needs to review the app once more.  Looks good and with the extra added stuffs i would give this a 3-2.  You put quite a bit of effor into this.
