 THE SHINIGAMI APPLICATION Name: Hachiman ItoReal Age: 380 Phys. Age: 35 Gender: Male Personality: Bitter old man with little interest in interaction outside of a professional manner. Can also be described as a blur of sake, bad decisions, and regret. He seems to treat every interaction in one of three ways: as if it might go horribly wrong at any moment, a colossal expense of energy, and the most important issue ever to grace the Soul Society. He is often seen as brash and highly impatient, but he can be calmed down with talking of affairs of the human world, which he is interested in, or extravagantly exaggerated takes of hollow hunts in the past. Despite his loyalty to the Soul Society, he is somewhat of an under achiever, which hinders his ability to advance to anything higher than 3rd seat. Deep down Hachiman is a very nervous man who lacks confidence in mostly everything , which he compensates for with bravado and chest pounding, along with absurd overconfidence. It isn’t unwarranted as he is a very skilled fighter, though he is still arrogant. His demeanor changes when he fights hollows, something he had once been before becoming a shinigami. He pursues them with an almost vengeful hatred, as if killing all the hollows he can will make up for what he did in his time as one of them. Another side of him is seen while teaching the students of the academy. His far more strict about rules and form, and seems to have an actual drive to see students improve. Those that fall behind will receive more attention, though he's much more harsh with them. The areas he has skill in are the ones he tends to teach or oversee himself, knowing full well what areas he needs work on and allowing others to teach those. CHARACTER APPEARANCE Height: 5'11"Weight: 260 Physical Traits:  BACK-DROP History: Hachiman served Toyotomi Hideyoshiand later Ishida Mitsunari as a lieutenant on the battlefield, but was killed in action during the battle of Sekigahara. Like many soldiers who weren't laid to rest, his soul wandered aimlessly, saddened and eventually angered of the state of the battle's end, becoming a hollow along with several others. Preying on hollows that were weaker than him and scavengers that had come to pick through the bodies, he became a sizable threat until shinigami took notice of him and eventually purified him. Exposition: Given his origins, he has taken an incredibly anti hollow stance, even so far as to secretly hold no ill will towards the Quincy and their ideology. He also holds intense scorn for Vizards. Side Notes: THE COMBAT INFORMATION General Fighting Style: Prefers either single powerful swings to knock the enemy back, push them away, or knock them off balance, or to use a series of quick blows to confuse opponents or distract them while he things of an actual strategy that he could use instead of whatever he’s doing now. He also tends to wing it while playing it off as a master plan that he has always had. It worked for the most part while he was a living samurai, and so far it’s kept him alive.Strengths: Strength, Zanjutsu, reiatsu sense Weaknesses: Speed/Agility, Long term strategy. ZANPAKUTO Sealed Appearance: Scabbard is black, with gilded vine patterns extending down it's length.
