Katsushiro listened to what the other Shinigami said in response to him. According to the other Shinigami, the current Captain-Commander was strong enough to defend Soul Society all by himself. He didn't need any captains on his side to help. That explained why this Captain-Commander could afford to kill or exile anyone who was not a 100% pure Shinigami, even if it meant that he was the only one left to defend the Seiretei. The other Shinigami sighed and rolled back his neck before continuing to speak. He told Katsushiro that he would be able to see his old home again and fix it if he helped this 'divine family'. The other Shinigami went on to say that even the Espada were on the divine family's side. Katsushiro found this quite hard to believe since Arrancar and Shinigami are naturally mortal enemies.

After a short pause, the Shinigami smiled and showed his 11th Division Lieutenant's Badge to Katsushiro, saying that he was once the 11th Division's Lieutenant, and that the divine family's leader was once his captain. Then, the Shinigami made an offer to Katsushiro. He asked if Katsushiro wanted to join the divine family and 'take down the Captain-Commander, save his home, and be reborn' as the Shinigami put it. Katsushiro, who wished to restore the Soul Society to the way it should be, was about to accept the offer. However, just as he opened his mouth to speak, he suddenly felt a massive Reiatsu. It was powerful enough to make Katsushiro a little afraid, which was saying something, since Katsushiro was strong enough to make most captains think twice. It was also unlike any Reiatsu Katsushiro had ever felt, since he had never met a Demon before.

The Demon landed on the sidewalk, causing humans to fall to the ground unconscious with just his presence. Then, he began to speak. The Demon told the other Shinigami that Katsushiro had been talking to to stop talking. He then began to gather some strange black liquid around him, possibly intending to use it as some sort of weapon. Then, the Demon told Katsushiro not to go with the other Shinigami since that would end up getting him killed. He then introduced himself to Katsushiro as Abyssion, lord of the Demons. The Demon who called himself Abyssion then began to speak to Katsushiro of what he could do if Katsushiro decided to join him. Hearing what he could get from joining this Demon, Katsushiro realized that it was way better than anything that the divine family could give him. However, he was a cautious man, and he decided to find out exactly what joining the Demon entailed before doing anything.

"From what I heard so far, it seems like this being who calls himself Abyssion has more to offer than the divine family." began Katsushiro, addressing both the Demon and the other Shinigami. Turning to the Demon, Katsushiro asked "Is there anything else that I may have to do besides fight for you in order to gain this power? What kinds of sacrifices will I have to make?". He wanted to make sure that accepting the Demon's offer was not going to put him in a bad spot someday. "I will join you as long as it does not cause me any serious harm." said Katsushiro to the demon.

Gust dropped his smile as he felt another stronger reiatsu enter the area. wrapping the Badge around his bicep again, He folded his hood up looking around the area."Just great, almost was done, then somethign had to pop up." He muttered underneath his breath. Watching as the demon finally showed himself, Gust shook his head, letting out a slight sigh; "Whoever this man is..He poses some sort of threat... Why would he be recruiting shinigami..Especially a demon.." He thought to himself. Speaking up, Gust walked towards the shinigami, eyeing him from the hood. " A demon, asking for help from a shinigami? All you want is power? Do you know think that demon will make you his slave? Power doesn't come without a price. He will use you like a pawn." He paused, taking a breath again before he continued.

"I've offered safety, a home, a place to call your own. Yet all he offers is power. Are you that hungry for it? Do you not have any remorse for what Demons are known for? They are in hell for a reason. They don't deserve to be out."

At first, Divus merely waited patiently; he allowed Gust to speak, but his muscles tightened as the hooded male's words continued, and finally, Divus became so angry the ground surrounding him was cracking and snapping under the crushing, subconscious power of his telekinesis. Finally, he roared angrily, aiming an index finger at Gust as he put his right foot forward, pointing at him critically. "Shut up, fool!" Divus demanded, the rage glowered from his exposed eyes. The air shook as if a jet plane had been flying above; his telekinetic power seemingly effected more than just the ground beneath him. The black liquid had nearly trippled in volume, and was swirling violently around Divus, perhaps reflecting his provoked anger. "You know nothing of Hell! Of knowing all that which is wrong in the world, and being powerless to reach into this dying realm to pluck out the disease which afflicts it!" He shouted, perhaps accidentally revealing some of his own purpose... "Just what do you think you are? You too shall use him as a pawn, in some silly effort against a ruler who deemed you unfit for use as his own pawn! You will only continue a pointless cycle of rebellion and fall, and regardless of who wins, it never changes! The ways you preach have utterly failed mankind for thousands of years, always ending in oppression and war! You speak of home and safety, but your castle is made of naught but sand, and you have foolishly chosen to erect it front of the torrential thunderstorm that shall crush your silly little hopes and factions, and reduce you back to what you always were; sand. Nothing but plain, ordinary sand. Like this." Divus spoke, tearing a chunk of concrete from the curb of the street with telekiness and levitating it into his hand. With a single squeeze of his mighty fist, it was crunched into the finest rubble with loud noise, and as Divus outstretched his hand forward, the remains of the rock slipped through his fingers as fine powder and sandy grains of dust.... "Watch this stone carefully; for it imitates your fate, mortal..." He grimly sentenced, with furious wrath.

Divus lowered his finger then, as well as the dusty palm which had crushed the rock. "Who is this fool to tell you what place to call your own? Have you no less right to the world than any other man, that you must 'have a place' for it? These are the words of tyrants, driving innocents from their lands because they needed a 'place'. You seize your own place in the world. And you cannot do that without power... worry not for others when you are at a loss for yourself, for in such a state you are in no condition to help them!" Divus spoke, still performing persuasion. He extended his arm to Katsushiro, offering a hand-shake to seal the deal. "All you must do is defend me and my empire, and perform what tasks I ask of you. I ask you not to waste your heart on lifeless ideals, or empty causes. I will not lie; I seek to hire you, not bind you to some frivolous crusade on hollow words of justice and glory. You shall not lose neither life nor soul. Both remain yours. There is no contract. You fulfill a task, I reward you; even if my own rule falls, you shall not escape this without profit to yourself." Divus spoke, continuing. "Come with me, and live forever if you so wish it; but go to them, and you will miss this chance." Divus replied.

As Katsushiro finished speaking to the Demon, the other Shinigami stepped forward and began to speak. He said that the Demon would force Katsushiro to work as a slave in return for power. The Shinigami went on to say that Katsushiro would be used like a pawn by the Demon. As the Shinigami paused, Katsushiro opened his mouth, about to speak. However, the Shinigami began to speak yet again. This time, he said that he offered a home and safety, while the Demon only offered power. The Shinigami also said that Demons were known to do terrible things and did not deserve to ever leave Hell. The Shinigami must have thought that he was persuading Katsushiro to join his side, but he was, in fact, only assuring that Katsushiro would not join him.

Up until this point, Katsushiro had been considering joining the divine family. However, the words of the Shinigami changed his mind. By saying that Demons did not deserve to leave Hell, the Shinigami came across to Katsushiro as racist and prejudiced, no better than the evil Captain Commander that his divine family fought against. "You know, Shinigami, I was thinking of joining your divine family at first, but now I most certainly will not. By saying that all Demons deserve to spend an eternity in Hell, you have proven yourself to be just as racist as your divine family's enemy. As a side note, I noticed that you called me 'power hungry' as if it were a negative trait. Therefore, you should know that the sole purpose of every being's existence is to become more powerful. It does not really matter how you gain power." said Katsushiro to the Shinigami.

It also seemed that the Shinigami's words had angered the Demon. Katsushiro noticed that as the Shinigami had been speaking, the Demon was subconsciously destroying the concrete beneath him, perhaps using his Reiatsu. Also, a much larger amount of black liquid built up around the Demon as he yelled at the Shinigami to shut up. Katsushiro listened as the angry Demon spoke to the Shinigami. He said that the divine family planned to use Katsushiro as a pawn and force him to fight for them and possibly die. After speaking for a bit longer, the Demon used his power to tear a piece of the sidewalk away. He then picked it up and crushed it in his hand, telling the Shinigami that he would suffer the same fate as the stone.

The Demon then turned to Katsushiro and spoke to him. He first spoke of how the Shinigami and the divine family did not have a right to tell Katsushiro what place to call home. The Demon told Katsushiro that he had to seize his place in the world, which was impossible without having some sort of power. The Demon then extended his hand, telling Katsushiro that he would be better off joining him. Holding out his hand in order to shake hands with the Demon, Katsushiro said "You make a good point. I will go with you.".

Witnessing what was going on I jump down from my,high perch landing behind gust in a loud thud creating a massive impact ditch beneath my feet looking up"Fool you choose the wrong empire. An empire of lies and false promices everywhere. This demon gives you a false name and offer you power and you jump like a trained puppy to,his side. Un time you will see his true face and when you do,you will regret this foolish decision that, you made this day." As I walk to gust my cloak slowly shifts to the lord marshal armor. Black spikes and banded only my face remains open at this time. Looking,up at Divus"i have a suprise in the works for you deceiver...i can't wait for you to find out." Placing my right hand on gust's shoulder channeling the divine"lets go gust.this is pointless he is concidered fallen now." With that I as well as gust is enveloped in the divine light, holy light that which burns the unclean. As we are taken away back to our home and sanctuary I look to,gust"you did well even though,he was destened to look for power alone that a demon can not give."

Divus smiled triumphantly, as he released the Shinigami's hand; Katsushiro would be a worthy ally, Divus hoped. "A good choice..." Divus spoke, nodding at the man. "I have much to give you, there is a particular job I would like for you to fulfill. It is a position of great leadership. I like your reasoning; I feel that you may competent enough to handle authority. What is your name?" Divus asked, folding his arms once more. He looked out of the corner of his eye to see Tazuma and the other boy fleeing. How quaint. "They run... cowards." Divus growled, clealry displeased with them.

Katsushiro listened as the emon responded to him accepting the offer. He said that Katsushiro had made a good choice, which he found to be a good sign. Katsushiro hoped that he truly had made a good choice and that he would not be deceived. He trusted this Demon, but he was also smart enough to be careful at the same time. However, any doubts about the Demon's intentions were dispelled by what Katsushiro heard next. The Demon said that he liked Katsushiro's reasoning for joining him, and that he wanted Katsushiro to take an important position of leadership and authority. He then asked Katsushiro for his name. "My name is Katsushiro Harukaze Nobutomo." said Katsushiro.

Divus seemed to ponder that name, nodding a bit. His right hand rose, the elbow of the arm which supporting it resting upon his left hand. His fingers ticked mindlessly at the air then as the black liquid stirred and crystallized beneath him, producing a glossy black sword. "Katsushiro Harukaze Nobutomo." Divus spoke, taking the sword into his right hand and bringing the other to his side. His body language changed entirely, from easy going to authoritative. "I dub you Grand Viceroy of the Demon Empire, to be my minister and representative, second in command to myself." He spoke, touching Katsushiro's left shoulder with the flat side of the sword, and then tapping it against the other, as if he were knighting him. "But, first we'll have to make a few changes... come to my realm, and we shall empower you." Divus spoke, before tossing the sword behind him. It vanished into a sudden gaping mass, swallowed by a growing hole surrounded by a spiral of demonic energy; it opened, showing a dark path to Hell. "Step into the demon door with me." Divus spoke, as he approached the gateway.

Katsushiro watched as the Demon seemed to think about his name for a bit. The Demon then turned some of the liquid around him into a black sword. It seemed that Katsushiro was right earlier when he thought that the liquid was used as some sort of weapon. Then, the Demon approached Katsushiro, holding the blade. He tapped Katsushiro's shoulders with it as if he were a king dubbing a knight while saying that Katsushiro would be the Grand Viceroy of the Demons, second in command of that race. However, he said that they needed to make some changes to Katsushiro first, whatever that meant. Then, the Demon threw his sword away, creating a portal to Hell.Katsushiro walked forward and said "It is an honor to serve you in such a high position.". He then stepped through the portal, following the Demon.
