Eaon had felt Enma's arrival long before Enma himself had actually gotten there. While Eaon didn't have anyway to say for sure, he felt as though he was being ignored, probably because his Reiatsu wasn't nearly as distinctive or strong as Enma's. That didn't matter though, because Eaon knew he was the better fighter of the two. Truth be told Eaon didn't necessarily enjoy the idea of Enma backing Eaon up. It wasn't anything personal against Enma, however as much as Eaon hated being obvious, Enma wasn't Taisho. Nor was he Eaon's master, for whom Eaon believed would have simply stated that their enemies wouldn't have been alive long enough to remember his name and killed them. Enma was a shinigami, trained as a shinigami, and that meant that his style was Zanjutsu and that was a sad excuse of a style.
Eaon also recalled Enma being relatively young. That likely made him less wise or overly boastful of his ability. During a previous encounter with Enma, Eaon observed him using his powers to remain "mysterious" amongst his allies. This was not a trait worthy of a fighter, he had no respect for Eaon's allies, and Eaon couldn't help but find him as one he couldn't completely trust. Not to say that Eaon wouldn't help him or fight along side him, he just didn't trust him, and Enma wouldn't have been his first pick for an ally.
Another thing that bothered Eaon was the way Enma showed up acting all high and mighty. Yes he may have been a Captain, but he came in demanding people answer to him or be detained. Perhaps he'd forgotten his place, Eaon was currently the acting Captain of Division Six until a new Captain be assigned. It was their divisions job to maintain and protect the laws of the Shinigami and Enma going around making demands wasn't helping the situation and only further Eaon's general lack of feeling towards the man.
Still though there were other pressing matters, but they seemed for now to be fine. The intruders didn't seem to want bloodshed at the moment, which was good. While Eaon was confident in his own abilities, not having to use them was always better. The first teachings of Tenrai Kouhei Tsurugi Ryu was to wield a blade that protected the innocent, and right now no one was in immense danger. Diplomacy seemed to be the smarter of the two options and it was much easier (though arguably more frustrating) than slicing each other to bits.
"I'm afraid that in all my time as a Shinigami I've not heard of your order sir, however if you sacrificed all to rid us of some darkness, then your return must be pressing. Has something happened?" Eaon inquired paying attention to the man's speech. If they were telling the truth there could have been something more dangerous than they on the prowl. That or they were eluding to something, in either case Eaon wasn't going to take chances and get caught off guard. He was smarter than that, the Shinigami were smarter than that. Besides clearly they weren't lying as the man who spoke used his powers to obtain a small weapon. Eaon wasn't quiet sure what it was they were dealing with but he wasn't going to die to a lack of information if he could at all help it. Hopefully Enma wouldn't act irrationally and mess things up.
